The Nazis made fun of Winston Churchill extensively. Nazi propaganda regularly mocked him in posters, cartoons, and speeches. However, their approach to ridiculing him shifted dramatically as the war progressed:

• Early War (1939-1940): Before and just after the outbreak of war, German propaganda mocked Churchill as a bumbling, incompetent clown. They portrayed him as a hapless fool and the victim of German military brilliance.

• Height of War (1941-1945): As the war dragged on, their mockery evolved into intense personal attacks. Hitler's leadership frequently made fun of Churchill's physical appearance, mocked his heavy drinking, and depicted him as a corrupt warmonger standing in the way of a "just peace". Later in the war, they ridiculed him as a puppet controlled by Franklin D. Roosevelt and Joseph Stalin.
