Moscow will stop fighting Ukraine if whatever remains of that country is demilitarized... ie has no standing army, is constitutionally neutral, and hs a Russia-tolerant government. Since Zelenskiy won't agree to those terms thru negotiation, it has to happen via unconditional surrender. IMHO.

Quote:Originally posted by SECOND: Quote:Originally posted by 6ixStringJack: Keep making Second say stupid shit Sigs. The Confederates lost the Civil War, but that didn't actually change their behavior toward slaves because the Confederates weren't executed for enslaving people. The slave-owners kept as much of the old slavery system as the Federal government would allow. Sadly, the government pretty much allowed everything to continue as before. If you lived in Texas, you'd know that (in the present day) Trumptards treat people like they are still slaves but deny that is what they do. That makes white people who are horrible Trumptards feel good about themselves but descendants of slaves know it is all a lie because they still get abused by the Trumptards. A similar situation but with much more murdering than in Texas happened in Ukraine. Russia killed millions of Ukrainians, treated the survivors like slaves and, today, Russia denies its entire past history with Ukraine. The Russians weren't executed for what they did to Ukrainians, so why would the Russians not restart the old ways of treating Ukrainians? What is the big difference between today and the past? What would make Russians stop murdering Ukrainians and enslaving the survivors? Easy question to answer. The EU, the UK, the USA are sending ammo to Ukrainians while in the past the Russians were free to murder Ukrainians because nobody sent ammo. It is completely consistent that Trumptards want to stop shipments of ammo to Ukraine. Trumptards would side with Russians against the Ukrainians because Trumptards treats everybody who is not Trumptard the same as Russians treat Ukrainians. Russian Propagandist Says Tucker Carlson Is a ‘Dead Man Walking’ “If I were in his place, I would tell no one of my travel routes,” Russia’s most prominent propagandist, Vladimir Solovyov, warned the former Fox News host. Julia Davis, Updated Sep. 01, 2023 7:01AM EDT On Thursday, Russia’s most prominent propagandist, Vladimir Solovyov, pompously predicted that soon there might be another potential victim: former Fox News host and podcaster Tucker Carlson. The latest broadcast of The Evening With Vladimir Solovyov featured multiple clips of Carlson’s predictions, including his claim that the U.S. government is getting ready to go to war with Russia — a war he implied the U.S. would lose. In a series of clips selected for Solovyov’s program, Carlson accused both Congressional Republicans and Democrats of being “insane” and hysterical, predicting that a war between the U.S. and Russia would start next year. Solovyov theatrically asked, “Who says that? A dead man walking! He sincerely believes that the next step after the accusations and the declaration of impeachment will be an assassination of Trump. But this man, who is currently the most popular English-speaking journalist, signed his own death warrant!” During his evening show, Solovyov predicted dire consequences that would follow Carlson’s persistent attempts to score a sit-down with the Russian president: “I can’t rule out that in the near future, as he is leaving Europe, there will either be an air crash or something will happen to the car in which he will be traveling, or he might eat something that he shouldn’t, maybe his heart will suddenly stop! If I were in his place, I would tell no one of my travel routes.” The warnings sounded like something that might have been useful to someone like Prigozhin or numerous people who found themselves on the wrong side of Putin and ended up paying the ultimate price. Perhaps they were also useful in attempting to persuade the domestic audiences that Russia is not the only place in turmoil and political assassinations are quite common all over the globe. Ratcheting up the conspiratorial mood permeating the studio, Solovyov expressly agreed with Carlson’s outlandish predictions of the impending Armageddon. He pontificated, “We are on the verge of a global hot war! It’s unavoidable because it benefits everyone!” He dramatically added, “These are the end times! We should realize this.” https://www.thedailybeast.com/russian-propagandist-vladimir-solovyov-says-tucker-carlson-is-a-dead-man-walking

Russia killed two million German civilians who were forced out of areas Russia controlled and sent to East Germany. Russia denies killing any Germans. Meanwhile, the USA killed none and West Germany prospered under the USA, UK and French. East Germany did not prosper. After WWII, Russia killed ten million political prisoners. Russia denies killing any prisoners. This is years after the Purges of the 1930s. Meanwhile, the USA killed none except for some Branch Davidians who felt their gun-ownership and religious rights were not being respected by the USA. After WWII, Russia set North Korea up. That little country is a killing machine of its own citizens. Tens of millions of North Koreans died and the remainder live in poverty. North Korea denies killing anybody, the same false denials that come regularly out of Russia. Meanwhile, the USA set South Korea into motion where Koreans have prospered and grown rich selling cars, washing machines, and TVs to the USA. You already know how North Korea followed Russia's example of threatening to nuke the neighborhood of Japan, South Korea and the USA. It is impossible to believe North Korean claims that it built H-bombs to bring peace which the USA would ruin if North Korea had no H-bomb. Russia makes exactly the same claims about its peaceful H-bombs bringing love and prosperity to the world.

They've been harping on NATO's eastward expansion since at least 2007, and have said over and over that Ukraine in NATO is a red line. The problem is, we (the collective west) don't take them seriously. We bought our own bullshit about Russia being a gas station masquerading as a country and thought we could break every promise and diddle them along with "talks" and "agreements" designed to buy time to arm Ukraine. Russia WILL use nukes if they think it's necessary.

Quote:"Other Losses" is a 1989 book by Canadian writer James Bacque, which makes the claim that U.S. General Dwight D. Eisenhower intentionally caused the deaths by starvation or exposure of around a million German prisoners of war held in Western internment camps after the Second World War. "Other Losses" charges that hundreds of thousands of German prisoners that had fled the Eastern front were designated as "Disarmed Enemy Forces" [not POW] in order to avoid recognition under the Geneva Convention (1929), for the purpose of carrying out their deaths through disease or slow starvation. "Other Losses" cites documents in the U.S. National Archives and interviews with people who stated they witnessed the events. The book claims that a "method of genocide" was present in the banning of Red Cross inspectors, the returning of food aid, soldier ration policy, and policy regarding shelter
