Even in victory, Russians are vengeful. After WWII, the death toll attributable to the flight and expulsions of Germans is estimated to range from 500,000–600,000 and up to 2 to 2.5 million. Again, that is what Russians do when they win. The Russians didn't keep track of how many people they murdered after the fighting was done, so all the evidence of their crimes are estimates. But then Stalin didn't keep track of how many Ukrainians he murdered before WWII. 4 million. Putin says Stalin killed none, it was the weather he says, but you know how dishonest Putin is. No Russians were trialed and executed for those killings, either.

But they would be HAPPY to send their Soviet-era fighters to Ramstein, USA airbase in Germany, for the USA to arrange shipment out.

The Pentagon is busy dodging that tar baby, too.

So while virtue signaling abounds, it's not gonna happen.

Russian troops withdrew from the village of Andriivka, west of Kyiv, after a month of waging war and terrorizing residents, leaving a trail of dead civilians and spent munitions in their wake. Similar scenes are being discovered across Ukraine, as experts gather evidence of possible Russian war crimes

The only military onjective that is within "days" is the destruction of a large part of Ukraine's army in SE Ukraine.

Meanwhile, I've been looking for General Gerasimov in the news, and he is nowhere to be found, indicationg a possible planning/military intelligence failure. (Based on human intel disinfo about the morale of the Ukie army and/or the "dug in" nature of Ukie positions).

I have no doubt that Russia could "win" the entire Ukraine, but what would "winning" look like? If Mariupol is any indication it would require Russian army losses, the destruction of alot of civilian infrastructure (which Russia would be responsible for fixing) and overseeing a resentful people. Cost v reward doesn't pencil out.

I think Russia will aim for achieving most of its goals by splitting off SE and coastal Ukraine and negotiating neutrality from "rump" Ukraine. Being practical.

Meanwhile, if Russia's other goals in this hybrid war were to

expose the west's hatred of Russia and Russians and solidify the Russian populatin
expose the risky nature of dollar-denominated assets
split the world and commit China to the Russian side
fully divorce Russia's economy and finances from the west

I'd say ... job well done.

Slovakia is sending its S-300 surface-to-air missile system to Ukraine, it announced Friday, and at the same time, the U.S. announced it is moving one of its Patriot missile batteries to Slovakia to replace it. The Slovak military has about 45 missiles for its S-300 system, meaning about 45 Russian planes can be shot down by Ukraine. S-300s can fire missiles hundreds of miles and knock out cruise missiles as well as aircraft.

There has been talk of such an arrangement since last month when Slovakian defense minister Jaroslav Nad’ said his country was ready to deliver its Soviet-era S-300 to Ukraine. "Should there be situation that we have a proper replacement or that we have a capability guaranteed for a certain period of time, then we will be willing to discuss the future of S-300 system," Slovakia's Prime Minister Eduard Heger said.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had mentioned S-300s by name when he spoke to U.S. lawmakers by video last month, appealing for defense systems that would allow Ukraine to “close the skies” to Russian planes and missiles.

NBC News has a new report out citing multiple anonymous US officials, humorously titled "In a break with the past, U.S. is using intel to fight an info war with Russia, even when the intel isn't rock solid."

The officials say the Biden administration has been rapidly pushing out "intelligence" about Russia's plans in Ukraine that is "low-confidence" or "based more on analysis than hard evidence", or even just plain false, in order to fight an information war against Putin.

The report says that toward this end the US government has deliberately circulated false or poorly evidenced claims about impending chemical weapons attacks, about Russian plans to orchestrate a false flag attack in the Donbass to justify an invasion, about Putin's advisors misinforming him, and about Russia seeking arms supplies from China.,

Why Ukraine Is Winning

Battles reveal more than they decide. Battles in which the outcome is truly up for grabs are rare, and battles that prove decisive in achieving a political goal are rarer still. Instead, battles demonstrate how effectively combatants planned, prepared, and executed before the fighting began. The result of a battle exposes not only how well matched the sides are but also how the war might unfold in the future. In that sense, the outcome of the Battle of Kyiv was never in doubt. Russia’s and Ukraine’s preparations for the fight essentially preordained the result. But the Battle of Kyiv has revealed a great deal about why Ukraine has done so much better in the war than many analysts predicted.

. . .

Ukraine, however, has not yet won the war. With their defeat in the Battle of Kyiv, the Russians have started to concentrate in the east and south of Ukraine, hoping to set up a defensive perimeter that the Ukrainians will have to attack if they hope to regain lost territory. The Ukrainian way of war will have to adapt. The Ukrainians, having witnessed the Russian failures in heavy assault, may decide to avoid making the same mistakes and instead continue their light, attritional warfare. This will probably not result in a swift end to the war, but it offers the possibility of draining Russian military and political will, allowing Ukraine to achieve many of its aims in negotiations. The Ukrainian way of war could yet achieve what once seemed all but impossible: victory.

SIG pulls most of her information that she posts here from this blog and stupidly defends it as a reputable source. As she continues to do so I will regenerate this thread to remind all it is a corrupted blog designed to create havoc rather than informing.

Below are the names of those behind zero hedge. Don't miss what I've highlighted in red below. This folks is why comrade troll SIG loves to quote zero hedge.

In addition, Lokey said he faced constant pressure to frame stories in-line with a particular world-view, which he described as “Russia=good. Obama=idiot. Bashar al-Assad=benevolent leader. John Kerry=dunce. Vladmir Putin=greatest leader in the history of statecraft.”

All of this matches SIG's playbook here and Putin's globally; exactly.

The men behind zero hedge

Colin Lokey, a 32-year-old former Seeking Alpha director

Daniel Ivandjiiski, a 37-year-old Bulgarian-born former hedge fund employee who was barred for insider trading in 2008

Tim Backshall, a 45-year-old credit derivatives strategist
Despite its populist tone, Lokey told Bloomberg he recently left Zero Hedge because he didn’t see eye-to-eye with the others when it came to editorial vision.

“Zero Hedge ceased to serve that public service years ago,” Lokey said. “They care what generates page views. Clicks. Money.”

Lokey claims Zero Hedge’s focus on traffic and revenue is hypocritical, but Ivandjiiski sees things differently.

Finally, Zero Hedge addressed the accusations of systematic bias in its content.

“We are certainly ok with being the object of other’s conspiracy theories, in this case completely false ones since we have never been in contact with anyone in Russia, or the US, or any government for that matter,” Zero Hedge says.

The site claims it has never accepted a dime of funding outside of advertising revenue and that Lokey was never pressured about how to frame his articles or editorialized.

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/zero-hedge-unmasked-theres-more-1427301
65.html

According to the Bloomberg article, three men have been churning out all of the content at Zero Hedge, using the joint pseudonym “Tyler Durden” from the Brad Pitt film “Fight Club.” The 1999 cult film, according to Rolling Stone, is “about being young, male and powerless against the pacifying drug of consumerism. It’s about solitude, despair and bottled-up rage.” That ethos is frequently on display at Zero Hedge.

The three “Tyler Durdens” outed by Bloomberg reporters are Colin Lokey, who has now left Zero Hedge in a fit of pique and is responsible for handing over the internal chat sessions from Zero Hedge on traffic-building strategies and other matters. Bloomberg says “the other two men are Daniel Ivandjiiski, 37, the Bulgarian-born former analyst long reputed to be behind the site, and Tim Backshall, 45, a well-known credit derivatives strategist.”

The article notes that “Ivandjiiski has a multimillion-dollar mansion in Mahwah, N.J., and Backshall lives in a plush San Francisco suburb,” suggesting these are “not exactly reflections” of the anti-capitalism reflected in the moniker “Tyler Durden.”

Meanwhile, if Russia's other goals in this hybrid war were to

expose the west's hatred of Russia and Russians and solidify the Russian populatin

Marina Dubrova, an English teacher on the Russian island of Sakhalin in the Pacific, showed an uplifting YouTube video to her eighth-grade class last month in which children, in Russian and Ukrainian, sing about a “world without war.”

After she played it, a group of girls stayed behind during recess and quizzed her on her views.

“Ukraine is a separate country, a separate one,” Ms. Dubrova, 57, told them.

“No longer,” one of the girls shot back.

A few days later, the police came to her school in the port town of Korsakov. In court, she heard a recording of that conversation, apparently made by one of the students. The judge handed down a $400 fine for “publicly discrediting” Russia’s Armed Forces. The school fired her, she said, for “amoral behavior.”

“It’s as though they’ve all plunged into some kind of madness,” Ms. Dubrova said in a phone interview, reflecting on the pro-war mood around her.

With President Vladimir V. Putin’s direct encouragement, Russians who support the war against Ukraine are starting to turn on the enemy within.

The episodes are not yet a mass phenomenon, but they illustrate the building paranoia and polarization in Russian society. Citizens are denouncing one another in an eerie echo of Stalin’s terror, spurred on by vicious official rhetoric from the state and enabled by far-reaching new laws that criminalize dissent.

There are reports of students turning in teachers and people telling on their neighbors and even the diners at the next table. In a mall in western Moscow, it was the “no to war” text displayed in a computer repair store and reported by a passer-by that got the store’s owner, Marat Grachev, detained by the police. In St. Petersburg, a local news outlet documented the furor over suspected pro-Western sympathies at the public library; it erupted after a library official mistook the image of a Soviet scholar on a poster for that of Mark Twain.

In the western region of Kaliningrad, the authorities sent residents text messages urging them to provide phone numbers and email addresses of “provocateurs” in connection with the “special operation” in Ukraine, Russian newspapers reported; they can do so conveniently through a specialized account in the Telegram messaging app. A nationalist political party launched a website urging Russians to report “pests” in the elite.

“I am absolutely sure that a cleansing will begin,” Dmitri Kuznetsov, the member of Parliament behind the website, said in an interview, predicting that the process would accelerate after the “active phase” of the war ended. He then clarified: “We don’t want anyone to be shot, and we don’t even want people to go to prison.”

But it is the history of mass execution and political imprisonment in the Soviet era, and the denunciation of fellow citizens encouraged by the state, that now looms over Russia’s deepening climate of repression. Mr. Putin set the tone in a speech on March 16, declaring that Russian society needed a “self-purification” in which people would “distinguish true patriots from scum and traitors and simply spit them out like a fly that accidentally flew into their mouths.”

In the Soviet logic, those who choose not to report their fellow citizens could be viewed as being suspect themselves.

“In these conditions, fear is settling into people again,” said Nikita Petrov, a leading scholar of the Soviet secret police. “And that fear dictates that you report.”

In March, Mr. Putin signed a law that punishes public statements contradicting the government line on what the Kremlin terms its “special military operation” in Ukraine with as much as 15 years in prison. It was a harsh but necessary measure, the Kremlin said, given the West’s “information war” against Russia.

Prosecutors have already used the law against more than 400 people, according to the OVD-Info rights group, including a man who held up a piece of paper with eight asterisks on it. “No to war” in Russian has eight letters.

“This is some kind of enormous joke that we, to our misfortune, are living in,” Aleksandra Bayeva, the head of OVD-Info’s legal department, said of the absurdity of some of the war-related prosecutions. She said she had seen a sharp rise in the frequency of people reporting on their fellow citizens.

“Repressions are not just done by the hands of the state authorities,” she said. “They are also done by the hands of regular citizens.”

In most cases, the punishments related to war criticism have been limited to fines; for the more than 15,000 antiwar protesters arrested since the invasion began on Feb. 24, fines are the most common penalty, though some were sentenced to as many as 30 days in jail, Ms. Bayeva said. But some people are being threatened with longer prison terms.

In the western city of Penza, another English teacher, Irina Gen, arrived in class one day and found a giant “Z” scrawled on the chalkboard. The Russian government has been promoting the letter as a symbol of support for the war, after it was seen painted as an identifying marker on Russian military vehicles in Ukraine.

Ms. Gen told her students it looked like half a swastika.

Later, an eighth grader asked her why Russia was being banned from sports competitions in Europe.

“I think that’s the right thing to do,” Ms. Gen responded. “Until Russia starts behaving in a civilized manner, this will continue forever.”

“But we don’t know all the details,” a girl said, referring to the war.

“That’s right, you don’t know anything at all,” Ms. Gen said.

A recording of that exchange appeared on a popular account on Telegram that often posts inside information about criminal cases. The Federal Security Service, a successor agency to the K.G.B., called her in and warned her that her words blaming Russia for the bombing of a maternity hospital in Mariupol, Ukraine, last month were “100 percent a criminal case.”

She is now being investigated for causing “grave consequences” under last month’s censorship law, punishable by 10 to 15 years in prison.

Ms. Gen, 45, said she found little support among her students or from her school, and quit her job this month. When she talked in class about her opposition to the war, she said she felt “hatred” toward her radiating from some of her students.

“My point of view did not resonate in the hearts and minds of basically anyone,” she said in an interview.

But others who have been the targets of denunciation by fellow citizens drew more hopeful lessons from the experience. On Sakhalin Island, after local news outlets reported on Ms. Dubrova’s case, one of her former students raised $150 in a day for her, before Ms. Dubrova told her to stop and said she would pay the fine herself. On Friday, Ms. Dubrova handed the money over to a local dog shelter.

In Moscow, Mr. Grachev, the computer repair store owner, said he found it remarkable that not one of his hundreds of customers threatened to turn him in for the “no to war” text that he prominently displayed on a screen behind the counter for several weeks after the invasion. After all, he noted, he was forced to double the price of some services because of Western sanctions, surely angering some of his customers. Instead, many thanked him.

The man who apparently turned in Mr. Grachev was a passer-by he refers to as a “grandpa” who, he said, twice warned his employees in late March that they were violating the law. Mr. Grachev, 35, said he believed the man was convinced he was doing his civic duty by reporting the store to the police, and most likely did not have access to information beyond state propaganda.

Mr. Grachev was fined 100,000 rubles, more than $1,200. A Moscow politician wrote about the case on social media, including Mr. Grachev’s bank details for anyone who wanted to help. Enough money to cover the fine arrived within two hours, Mr. Grachev said.

He received 250,000 rubles in total, he said, from about 250 separate donations, and he plans to donate the surplus to OVD-Info, which provided him with legal aid.

“In practice, we see that not everything is so bad,” he said in an interview.

Mr. Grachev is now pondering how to replace his “no to war” sign. He is considering: “There was a sign here for which a 100,000 ruble fine was imposed.”

Are you sure the USA is doing EXACTLY what Russia is doing? Russia is doing this:

Yep, the same is happening in the USA.

People are getting libelled as "Russian trolls"*, doxxed, harassed, canceled, investigated, and fired ALL THE TIME. (*Not that YOU would know anything about that. heh heh)

Teachers are being recorded and fired for saying "wrong things" about, well, anything ...Trump ... vaccines ... sex ... race ... religion ... politics ... border control ... money (yanno, the big taboo subjects one is not supposed to talk about at work or Thanksgiving).

Teachers and professors are frequently censored and punished for their political views.

Apparenty you don't live here. Search for teacher (or professor) +recorded+ fired if you need to learn about life here in the USA.

I've got better things to do than deprogram the indoctrinated.

Signym refuses to acknowledge that Putin and his government are a murderous criminal enterprise. To do so would mean admitting she is wrong about everything and always has been. What’s important G is that the world knows it. They do, so Putin is getting what he deserves.

Signym, you just wrote a perfect example of whataboutism -- Russia is imprisoning people for holding up a sign with the word war written on it, but what about the USA?

Another example: Russia murders 100,000,000 in 100 years but what about those Nazis Putin and Signym claim rule over Ukraine?

Why should anyone care how many Ukrainians the Russians killed an hour ago? The past hour can't be used to predict what the Russians will do in the next hour!

Scattered here and there in one book or another are estimates of the number of people murdered by Russians. For example, Dimitri Panin claims that 57,000,000 to 69,500,000 people were killed and says that estimates of authors in the West vary from 45,000,000 to 80,000,000. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn mentions a figure of 66,000,000 calculated by an emigre professor of statistics. And D.G. Stewart-Smith gives an estimate of 31,000,000 killed in repression. Like Dyadkin’s, some estimates have been based on demographic analyses, as Medvedev’s 22,000,000 to 23,000,000 total (1918-53).

For lack of a thorough statistical accumulation and analysis of Soviet genocides and mass murders from 1917 to recent years, I had to undertake at least an initial effort in this direction. At first, the result was to be a chapter in a monograph on twentieth-century genocides and mass killing. But it soon became clear that the Soviets themselves are responsible for so many genocides and that so many different kinds of mass killings had occurred that to unravel and present the detailed events, institutions, and related statistics involved would require a monograph itself. Thus I wrote this book.

The head of Russia's Orthodox Church called on people on Sunday to rally around the authorities as Moscow pursues its military intervention in Ukraine.

Patriarch Kirill has previously made statements defending Moscow's actions in Ukraine and views the war as a bulwark against a Western liberal culture that he considers decadent.

"Let the Lord help us unite during this difficult time for our Fatherland, including around the authorities," the Interfax news agency quoted Kirill, 75, as saying at a sermon in Moscow.

"May the authorities to be filled with responsibility for their people, humility and the readiness to serve them even if it costs them their life," added the patriarch, a close ally of President Vladimir Putin.

On Sunday, he said that once the population unites around the authorities, "there will be genuine solidarity and the ability to repel enemies both external and internal..."

In contrast to Patriarch Kirill telling Russians to die for Russia:

During his Palm Sunday homily, Pope Francis denounced "the folly of war" that leads people to commit "senseless acts of cruelty."

"When we resort to violence ... we lose sight of why we are in the world and even end up committing senseless acts of cruelty. We see this in the folly of war, where Christ is crucified yet another time," he said.

Francis lamented "the unjust death of husbands and sons" ... "refugees fleeing bombs" ... "young people deprived of a future" ... and "soldiers sent to kill their brothers and sisters."

Consider a few things about Russia:

1) Russia has the 2nd largest military in the world. And Putin has threatened, recently and several times, to nuke any nation interfering. That does not signify peace.

2) The Russia Orthodox Church Patriarch (and close personal Putin friend) asks Russians to die for Russia, specifically fighting in Ukraine. Does that sound warlike? In contrast, the Pope calls for peace, which actually does sound like what religious leaders would be preaching.

3) The Russian Army crossed over a border to start a fight. It isn't Ukraine's Army marching toward Moscow.

4) Russia passed a new law forbidding using the word war. Go to jail for 15 years before you have a trial. Your time in jail before your trial starts will count toward serving your sentence, which makes this new law very civilized.

5) In the last 100 years about 100 million people have been killed by Russia, mostly people who know Russian either as their first, second, or third language.

6) When Russia has a political problem with somebody, they end up killed. There is a wiki article about those political assassination: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Soviet_and_Russian_assassination
s

Signym, that's 6 reasons why Russia is actually killing Ukrainians and stealing their land. Russia is NOT actually overthrowing a Nazi government oppressing Ukrainians. That is a cover story for Russia's real purpose.

Russia, a society which has wallowed in evil but is unwilling to face the truth about its own past, let alone confess and repent it, is condemned to offend again.

Yanno, maybe there is something fundamentally fucked-up with your brain.
Might want to consider that.
Again

You are right. Trump did make the same threat: “North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States,” Trump said during a meeting on opioids from his golf club in New Jersey. “They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen … he has been very threatening beyond a normal state. They will be met with fire, fury and frankly power the likes of which this world has never seen before.”

Fortunately, Trump is not President. It would be best to NOT have Harry Truman (infamous for nuking Japan and the Korean War) or Donald Trump as future Presidents. Both showed they are not trustworthy with life and death decisions. Truman was an accident, only getting to be President because FDR needed a different V.P. to win a fourth term. FDR should have considered that Truman was not a very stable genius. Neither is Trump.

The Pentagon would not launch nukes when Nixon was mentally deranged by Watergate. Same when Trump was deranged. So there are a few unwritten safety features in the USA to stop a President who is not a very stable genius. Two days after the January 6 attack on the US Capitol, President Donald Trump’s top military adviser, Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Mark Milley, single-handedly took secret action to limit Trump from potentially ordering a dangerous military strike or launching nuclear weapons.
https://www.cnn.com/2021/09/14/politics/woodward-book-trump-nuclear/in
dex.html

No reason to think Putin is limited by unwritten safety features like USA Presidents are limited.

Several European leaders have made efforts to show solidarity with battle-scarred Ukraine.

Zelenskyy argued that Russia’s aggression “was not intended to be limited to Ukraine alone.” The “entire European project is a target,” he said. “That is why it is not just the moral duty of all democracies, all the forces of Europe, to support Ukraine’s desire for peace,” Zelenskyy said. “This is, in fact, a strategy of defense for every civilized state.”

Ukraine’s survival requires the sustained support of its most important ally, the United States. Time will not be on Ukraine’s side. If the war drags on for months, it will grow murkier to Americans watching at a distance; its moral clarity will start to blur. Ukrainians’ justifiable rage at all things Russian will produce images that foreigners will find less easy to love than the picture of a string quintet performing in the ruins of a Kharkiv metro station.

The fate of Ukrainian democracy depends in part on American staying power. And in turn, the health of American democracy depends in part on Ukraine. If Vladimir Putin succeeds in demolishing Ukraine, converting its fragments into the vassal states of a new Russian empire, then Putin will have won his bet that what matters in global affairs is raw power, that oil and gas are more important than freedom and justice, that the West is too tired and comfortable to sacrifice for its supposed values — that, as he said last summer, “the liberal idea has become obsolete.”

In the U.S., a Russian victory will free Donald Trump, his followers in the Republican Party, and the right-wing media of any need to pretend that they ever objected to Putin’s war. Trump will strengthen his grip on the party, compelling other Republicans to go along or be tagged as accomplices of woke Democrats, weak Europeans, and corrupt Ukrainians.

If, on the other hand, Putin’s regime of militarized kleptocracy — fascism without the inspiration — suffers an unmistakable defeat, it will diminish American authoritarians of all types. Ukraine’s win might start to clear out some of the reflexive cynicism that corrodes our politics.

Signym, most Eastern Europeans didn't read disinformation about Russia. Instead, the Eastern Europeans experienced Russia:

One thing westerners have a hard time understanding about Eastern Europe: for the last couple hundred of years there has not been literally a single generation of people in any country neighboring with Russia, that didn’t suffer from Russia’s actions in some way or another. None

Some nations survived genocides (yes, multiple times), some were just occupied and had puppet governments for decades. Many were deported, imprisoned, killed. Intellectual elites were cleansed or deported in the best case.

Ask people of Baltic nations, ask Poles, ask Czechs, ask Finns, ask Asian nations if ex-Soviet republic what they think of Russia overall.

They all, nations with different cultures, languages and religions will tell you: Russia means aggression, occupation, genocide, deportations, repressions, Russification, expropriation of culture, elimination of national memory, GULAG.

Ask Russians what they think of these countries, and they will tell you that Kazakhs, Moldovans, Ukrainians, Finns, Estonians, Lithuanians, Latvians, Poles, Czechs and many other are just Russophobes!

All Russia’s neighbors are just russophobes for no apparent reasons. Nazis!

Now, many people in the west often come up with an argument like “but it’s not all Russians! You can’t blame them all!”

Well, first, the vast majority of Russians do support the war of aggression in some form or another. Watch this, I assure you these people represent 90% of RU

Watch on twitter https://twitter.com/bopanc/status/1510950346742509570

But what’s even more important, the argument “but not all Russians”, especially when it comes from westerners resembles another really manipulative and ugly argument often used in discussion about violence against women, which sounds exactly like that: “but not all men!”

Sounds familiar yet, huh? But not all men rape women! Not all men are sexist! Not all men this, not all men that! But you would probably say that ok, but if you’re not vocal about this, you don’t really help, in fact you still play on the side of evil by choosing to stay aside.

If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of problem!

Now, there are millions or Russians living abroad in free democratic countries where nothing is threatening them for expressing their opinion. Can you show me at least one anti-war rally organized by Russians abroad?

I’ll show you one. Here.

Oh, wait! This is not an anti war protest! This is a pro-war rally of Russians living abroad for years, some probably even decades!

Of course there are Russians who are against the war, but amount of those are so little, that their voices are simply irrelevant.

You DO realize that you just obliterated your previous post about mass repression of Russia's "anti- war" movement, right?

There are many reasons for some Eastern European to be afraid of the Soviet Union. They had a long and difficult history. OTOH the Soviet Union benefitted Eastern European development. My g'ma only learned to read and write (in Polish) no thanks to the Polish government, but thanks to Russia. And in Hungary they set the serfs free.

A billion flies eat shit, and I put people who "hate" Russia into the billion-fly category because they ate psyops and loved it.

We're talking about Russia, dear. Japan? Too funny.

I also think it funny you would compare people to flies. That's a very Putin attitude. He thinks very little of his own people. Sends them off to die in Ukraine because he wants more land.

And thirdly, no one, NO ONE, does lame @ss misinformation propaganda as often or as poorly as Russia. It's bad enough that they kill civilians trying to get away from war, but then make it worse by lying about it when it's so obvious they did it. Why do they bother? Why do you bother?

Signym, you obliterated yourself. You misunderstand the simplest ideas.

Try clicking the link that you didn't click before you shot yourself in the head, or foot, whichever:

Turn on the sound.

Here is the key quote, just in case you are too lazy to click a link.

Angry Russian male: "We need to wipe it off the face of the earth and that's it."

The interviewer asked for clarification. "It" is Ukraine.

Angry Russian grandma: Russian missiles will "demolish America altogether."

Let me interpret: the babushka would nuke America.

I laughed at these preposterously pugnacious people. It is no surprise belligerent Russians are hated by Eastern Europeans.

Up until just a little while ago most Russians ... Putin particularly... tried to reach a modus vivendi with the USA. YOUR rampant hatred of Russia uncorked anger in Russia

Good job!

Good job!

Today, Finland is being threatened with war by Russia, if Finland joins NATO.

Back in 1940, Russia invaded Finland. 321,000–381,000 total Russian casualties.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winter_War

I think I'm seeing a pattern of Russian behavior. Russia attacks. Russia steals some land from Finland. Russia says Finland hates Russia. Russia blames Finland for Russia invading Finland. Russia is puzzled by how awful Finland's behavior is toward Russia. What did Russia ever do to deserve such abuse from Finland? Russia did nothing to deserve this! Russia will never understand because it cannot read the hateful minds in Finland.

By the way, Finland was named the world's happiest country for fifth straight year. How can a country so hateful toward Russia be the happiest country? Russia will be filing a protest -- Russia is the happiest!

And once upon a time Sweden invaded Russia. In fact, so did France, Germany, and Turkey. POLAND invaded Russia.
Yep, it's true!

)

Britain, France, Japan and the United States sent troops into Russia to support white Russians during Russia's civil war
https://colors-newyork.com/who-supported-the-white-army-in-the-russian

So let's not pretend is was just Big Bad Russia doing the invading, m'kay?

Until recently ... and I mean, the past few years ... Finns felt rather favorbaly towards Russia. It wasnt until constant anti-Russian propaganda that the attitude in Finland changed.

The reason for the favorable attitude was because Finland achieved independence from Sweden thanks to Russian rule, which made Finland an indepedent duchy under Tsar Alexaander of Russia leading to Finnish independence in 1917.

AFA Finland before WWII, it collaborated with Nazi Germany, a history that Finns prefer to forget. (Swedes also collaborated with Nazi Germany)

Signym, you're are so fucked up in the head that it is funny. Sorry if you don't see the humor in what you are doing. Neither did all those Russians in that man-on-the-street interview where they were calling for Ukraine to be obliterated from the face of the Earth because it is full of fat, ugly women who are all Nazis. And just for good measure, nuke America too. Russians get crazy and funny when they get angry. All I can do is laugh at their nonsensical "reasoning". But on the brighter side, Russia might get sued, and lose $billions, for all their nonsensical bad behavior if this law passes:

The Ukrainian Sovereignty Act of 2022 would ensure Ukrainians, whether they are US citizens or not, can seek monetary damages through the US courts for any losses incurred as a result of the Russian invasion, paid out by assets seized from Russia or Russian oligarchs the US government has sanctioned.

Tens of billions of dollars the Bank of Russia has stored in the US, not to mention the seized assets of other Russians and Russian entities facing sanctions, could be available to help compensate Ukrainian refugees and survivors of the war.

Ukraine could file a lawsuit in the United States and use any Russian funds to help rebuild the hospitals, schools and other structures that the Russian military destroyed during this unlawful invasion.
