Some idiot parents actually brought their VERY young children to this movie. SO, most of my evening, between laughs and "OWNED" shouts, was muchkins wondering around the theater, and crying about the evil slugs gonna get them. Can we say, NIGHTMARES??? ANYONE??? Nothing that I hate more than stupid parents... I mean jeez, my daughter is five, loves Firefly, and has a great ground on reality. BUT, I wouldnt allow her to see Star Wars Epidode III and I screened Harry Potter before allowing her to see it. "Slither" is NOT one she'll be seeing for the next oh... 12 yrs!] OMG - I'm glad I'm not the only one. When my husband and I went last weekend, there was a family with two pre-teens there. From two rows back, I could see and hear that they were not in the least bit comfortable. How could the parents not notice? I don't consider myself a prude (I was an exotic dancer in my youth), but between the language and the gore, pre-teens should NOT be seeing this. Kids are more sophisticated than previous generations, but basic brain wiring just wouldn't usually allow them to process these images. Only my sense of self preservation kept me from expressing a few choice words. We LOVED the movie, BTW. We were still laughing at certain scenes hours later.
