BET Talks To Black Voters: I'm Voting Trump; Post-Obama, "The Party Just Wasn't Suitable To The Goals That I Have"

voters_im_voting_trump_post-obama_the_party_just_wasnt_suitable_to_the_goals_that_i_have.html

Quote:

BET: CBS News correspondent Nikole Killion travels down to the battleground state of Georgia to talk to Black voters and community activists about the upcoming presidential election. With the economy, foreign relations, and reproductive rights on a lot of voters’ minds, community leaders are trying to encourage the Black community to get out to the polls in November and make their voices heard.

Barber Johnny Daniel explained why he is voting for Trump in 2024 after voting for Biden in 2020.

"Why did you vote for President Biden in the last election?" Killion asked.

"Because of who he ran with," Daniel said. "And he was in the White House for the 8 previous years. I felt like he had the experience. But, definitively, right now I couldn't tell you that if they opened the polls tomorrow that I'm voting for Joe Biden."

"So what changed?" Killion asked.

"Life," Daniel said. "The inflation and the things that we're going through right now. I want the right person so that I'm not paying $8 for eggs, $15 for gas."

"This is the worst it's ever been in my life," Daniel said. "I would have never even considered voting for Donald Trump but living in America these last 4, it's a consideration."

Killion also spoke to Azad Ahmadi, a member of the Georgia Black Republicans, and his girlfriend Alexandria, a registered Democrat. In an incredible exchange, Ahmadi told an incredulous Killion that the Democratic party is no longer "suitable" for the goals that he has:

KILLION: In 2008 and 2012 you voted for?

AZAD AHMADI: Barack Obama.

ALEXANDRIA: Barack Obama.

KILLION: 2016?

AHMADI: I voted for Donald Trump.

ALEXANDRIA: Hillary Clinton.

KILLION: 2020?

AHMADI: Donald Trump.

ALEXANDRIA: Biden.

KILLION: And who will you vote for in 2024?

AHMADI: Donald Trump.

ALEXANDRIA: Donald Trump.

KILLION: You may vote for the former president?

ALEXANDRIA: I may.

KILLION: And why do you say that?

ALEXANDRIA: My views on certain things have changed. I am very much so right on the fence.

KILLION: What are you struggling with?

ALEXANDRIA: Being in a pattern of doing the same thing that I've been doing because it's like second nature. You're going to go into the poll, you're going to hit Democrat. Something has to happen. I mean it's just so expensive to survive. And we're planning on having kids. I don't want to live in a stressful environment trying to rub two pennies together to make it either.

KILLION: When did you make that decision to check a different box?

AHMADI: Donald Trump's first term. I'm saying first term because I'm pretty sure he'll be in there for a second term soon. In either case, post-Obama I decided that the party just wasn't suitable to the goals that I have.

KILLION: How did you come to that conclusion? Because at the end of the day, former President Obama was the first African-American president in history.

AHMADI: This is true.

KILLION: As a black man, I would assume that meant something.

AHMADI: Absolutely.

I attended the inauguration in his first term. I grew up outside of Washington, D.C. in the '80s and '90s, came through the system as an institutional Democrat, went through a lot of the experiences that young black men go through. Good and bad. Ending up leaving that environment. Grew up. Starting looking at the world through a new lens.

BET cut off the rest of his answer.

I bet they did.

There is a misconception that the Bill of Rights is only for citizens. Unfortunately for angry poor white trash, it is the illegals or non-citizens who can carry guns, thanks to Trumptards' interpretation of the Constitution, and kill as many Trumptards on the street as they please, and not go to the authorities after killing Trumptards. It's called Freedom, 6ix, to be the biggest success or failure you can be. You have chosen to be a failure, 6ix, but non-citizens choose success since they had to put in tremendous effort to be in America while you and Trump have not made any effort at all. Not surprising that Trump, despite inheriting a $billion and citizenship, has always been in trouble. Don't feel bad because most Trumptards don't make sufficient effort to make success a certainty, despite being born citizens, just as you did not. All the Trumptards I know think it is their Constitutional Right to be successful, but that is not a Right in the Constitution. Carrying a gun is a Right.

6ix, I realize why you mock me for working at 71 years old. You are angry that you are unsuccessful because you haven't worked since your 30's. You can't believe work for pay is an essential ingredient for success. You believe being successful despite also being lazy and shiftless is a Constitutional Right.

Trump just opened the door to Social Security cuts. Take him seriously.

A second Trump presidency is likely to bring more austerity than the first one did.

By Eric Levitz | Mar 12, 2024, 3:50pm EDT

https://www.vox.com/politics/2024/3/12/24098773/trump-social-security-
medicare-cuts-entitlements-position-2024

In an interview with CNBC, Trump said that he was open to cutting entitlement spending. Uh-oh! Then, his campaign said that he wasn’t.

Trump’s reflections on public policy tend to bear only a loose resemblance to coherent thoughts. And his remarks about entitlements on CNBC Monday were no exception. In that exchange, anchor Joe Kernen told Trump that “something has to be done” about entitlement costs, then asked if the former president had changed his mind about cutting “Social Security, Medicare, [and] Medicaid” in light of the rising national debt.

Trump replied:

“So first of all, there is a lot you can do in terms of entitlements, in terms of cutting, and in terms of, also, the theft and the bad management of entitlements — tremendous bad management of entitlements. There’s tremendous amounts of things and numbers of things you can do. So I don’t necessarily agree with the statement.”

Biden pounced on Trump’s words, posting a clip of the Republican’s answer and vowing that no cuts to entitlements would be allowed “on my watch.” The Trump campaign replied, “If you losers didn’t cut his answer short, you would know President Trump was talking about cutting waste.”

This rebuttal is disingenuous. Trump plainly stated that there was a lot that the government could do “in terms of cutting” entitlements and “also” in terms of combating “theft and bad management of entitlements.” What precisely the former president is referring to when he alleges that Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid are rife with theft, bad management, and waste is unclear. And neither he nor his campaign has produced any actual evidence of such improprieties.

This said, it’s also true that, by the end of his answer, Trump was evincing disagreement with Kernen’s statement that entitlements needed to be cut. So, one could reasonably argue that, as with so many of Trump’s statements, his musings on entitlement reform were too suffused with internal contradictions and baseless demagogy to have any concrete meaning.

Yet Trump’s gaffe is not the only reason for voters to fear that a Republican victory in November could lead to leaner Social Security benefits.

For one thing, Trump spent his entire presidency trying to cut Medicaid, an entitlement program that provides not only health insurance for low-income Americans, but also long-term care for older voters. And he has tried to cut Social Security benefits for disabled and low-income people.

For another, the GOP’s avowed fiscal commitments cannot be reconciled with preserving Medicare and Social Security in their present forms. Congressional Republicans are committed to enacting trillions of dollars worth of new tax cuts, perennially increasing defense spending, and balancing the federal budget. There is no politically tenable way to do this without cutting Social Security or Medicare.

I don't know too many failures who bought a house with cash and have no debt.

But you keep telling yourself you're somehow better than me, boy.

Maybe you should do a poll of your own and ask any millennial or zoomer Democrat voter if they think somebody who can buy a house is a failure. Yanno, since they're all renting or living with their parents.

Do you realize that because Republicans on the Supreme Court ruled that there is a Constitutional Right to Own a Firearm (all the Democratic justices ruled that Republicans are gun crazy) the Illegal Aliens have a Right to Shoot To Kill any Trumptards? You probably didn't realize where this is heading if Trumptards start killing illegal aliens.

Republicans will no longer get to handpick their judges when they sue Biden

The federal judiciary’s new rules target “judge shopping.”

Among other things, this practice turned Matthew Kacsmaryk, an obscure advocate on the Christian right appointed by former President Donald Trump to the Northern District of Texas, into one of the most powerful government officials in the entire country. Because Kacsmaryk is the only federal trial judge in Amarillo, Texas, any case filed in Amarillo was automatically assigned to him.

The Judicial Conference’s new policy is unlikely to strip Kacsmaryk, or any other judge, of jurisdiction over any case currently on his docket. But it does place significant new limits on litigants’ power to choose which judge will hear any new case that they file in the future.

House Republican giggles over Hitler praise — and admits he never listens to Trump

By Kathleen Culliton, Matt Laslo | March 12, 2024

https://www.rawstory.com/raw-investigates/trump-hitler-2667497580/

WASHINGTON — A Republican House representative burst into laughter Tuesday when a Raw Story reporter asked him to comment on former President Donald Trump's remarks praising autocrats that included Adolf Hitler.

"You guys still paying attention to what Trump says?" Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD) said with a giggle. "Oh my God ... journalists never learn."

Harris, a Freedom Caucus member whose ties to Trump include attendance at a meeting in 2020 to discuss keeping the former president in the White House, admitted that he does not listen to the words that come out of the leading Republican presidential candidate's mouth.

"You guys don't listen to Trump?" Raw Story asked.

"No, of course not!" Harris said. "You look at what he does, not what he says."

Harris' assertion comes as the release of a new book — "The Return of Great Powers" by CNN's Jim Sciutto — details warnings from former Trump advisers over their onetime boss' admiration for autocrats.

“He likes dealing with other big guys, and big guys like Erdogan in Turkey get to put people in jail and you don’t have to ask anybody’s permission,” John Bolton, who served as national security adviser under Trump, told Sciutto. "He kind of likes that.”

Retired Marines General John Kelly told Sciutto he convinced Trump to stop praising the Nazi leader who masterminded the Holocaust by arguing Italian's fascist dictator Benito Mussolini was "a great guy in comparison.”

"Hitler did some good things," Trump said, according to Kelly. "[Hitler] rebuilt the economy."

This prompted Kelly to note what Hitler did with that thriving economy: "He turned it against his own people and against the world.

"I said, ‘Sir, you can never say anything good about the guy. Nothing.'"

News of this exchange came as a surprise to Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC), who told Raw Story he "didn't know anything about" Trump's professed admiration for strong men leaders and added, "That's crazy."

Rep. Dan Meuser (R-PA) came to Trump's defense, telling Raw Story he believed Trump's praise of Russian President Vladimir Putin was simply respect for an intelligent adversary.

"Somebody could be dastardly ... but they could still be smart," Meuser said. But he added, "I'm not going to get into Hitler."

Rep. Troy Nehls (R-TX) echoed Meuser's adversary argument and accused Kelly of stirring up a fuss because he did not have a war to fight.

"All these old generals, retire, go home, enough is enough," Nehls said. "Oh come on. Praising Hitler? They take that all out of context."

Donald Trump lost a significant number of votes to Nikki Haley in the Georgia Republican primary despite running essentially unopposed.

Haley, who dropped out of the GOP primary race in the wake of Super Tuesday, still received 13 percent of the Republican vote in Georgia, amounting to more than 77,000 ballots. In 2020, Trump lost Georgia by fewer than 12,000 votes.

Looks like Democrats got all the Trump cases in just under the wire then, huh?

Remember this?

In August 2019, then-President Trump confirmed media reports that he was interested in purchasing Greenland, a Danish autonomous territory over three times the size of Texas, with a population of around 56,000 people. Trump said such a move would be a "large real estate deal," with The Wall Street Journal reporting he wanted access to Greenland's natural resources and a "legacy akin to President Dwight Eisenhower's admission of Alaska into the U.S. as a state." However the suggestion was shot down by Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, who branded it "absurd," adding "Greenland is not for sale. That's where the conversation ends."

In private, Trump did praise Hitler. Too bad, but that is because Trump is crazy. People who are not crazy would be concerned about Trump's mental health. Or concerned that Trump is stupid. Or concerned that Trump is a nonstop liar. On the other hand, people who are as crazy as Trump will not be concerned at all.

Republican to Suddenly Leave Congress | Mar 12, 2024 at 2:09 PM EDT

"I always have been disappointed with our inability in Congress to deal with major issues & I'm also disappointed that the Republican Party continues to rely on this lie that the 2020 election was stolen & rely on the January 6 narrative," Buck said.

Buck, a member of the right-wing Freedom Caucus, has been critical of his fellow conservatives, breaking from the party on their efforts to impeach President Joe Biden, telling CNN in September he has not "heard an accurate fact in conference in a long time" and did not plan to "waste" his time with an impeachment inquiry.

Congressional hearing on the Biden classified documents probe turns into a proxy campaign battle

Republicans, meanwhile, insisted Trump was being unfairly singled out and vilified, questioning how the two cases were really all that different.

Rep. Tom McClintock, R-Calif., called it a “glaring double standard.”

“Donald Trump’s being prosecuted for exactly the same act that you documented Joe Biden committed,” he told Hur.

But there were major differences between the two probes. Biden’s team returned the documents after they were discovered, and the president cooperated with the investigation by voluntarily sitting for an interview and consenting to searches of his homes. Trump, by contrast, is accused of enlisting the help of aides and lawyers to conceal the documents from the government and seeking to have potentially incriminating evidence destroyed.

Yup, that describes one aspect of Jack. Another is his hate for organized communities. This is because he can’t compete.

He can’t hold a job; he can’t rise above gutter level. And is why he cannot live in reality. Why he still clings to Trump winning in 2020 and the other fantasies he surrounds himself with.

None of this is why I have a problem with Jack. My problem with Jack is rooted in his constant attacks against organized communities. Against honest people just trying to get by themselves. Against anybody who can out compete him on their way to a better life.

Your house was cheap when purchased because of the 2008 Housing Crisis. Contrary to conservative arguments, the 2008 housing crisis was caused by unregulated and loosely regulated private financial entities — not the federal government’s support for home ownership. The crash was the fault of greedy, rich Republican dimwits, which is another reason to not reelect Trump.

Trump’s GOP is already dying

By Max Burns | 03/13/24 10:00 AM ET

https://thehill.com/opinion/campaign/4528680-trumps-gop-is-already-dyi
ng
/

For Donald Trump, last week must have seemed like a final, crowning victory over his lingering Republican critics. On Friday the Republican National Committee made official what Trump had already decreed weeks ago, electing Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, as party co-chair.

Lara Trump is nominally co-chair alongside former North Carolina Republican Party Chair Michael Whatley. Both received former President Trump’s endorsement for the role. In practice, the power dynamic is more like when the Roman emperor granted his family a shared consulship with an irrelevant senator. In case any Republican was confused about where true power rested, Trump began her tenure atop the RNC with a sweeping purge of the unfaithful.

Donald Trump’s MAGA ideology can now claim the House Speakership and formal control of the RNC. With Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) stepping down from his role as Senate minority leader, Trump will likely soon control that post as well.

But even at the pinnacle of its institutional power, the MAGA movement is already buckling at the joints.

Trump’s GOP is a paradox. The former president now enjoys an unprecedented level of control over the Republican national apparatus. He can freely raid the RNC’s dwindling campaign coffers for legal defense money and appoint family members to key positions while personally directing House Republicans’ disastrous investigations into Joe and Hunter Biden. Trump’s total dominance of the Republican Party is a remarkable thing to behold.

But Republicans’ willingness to bow to Trump on nearly every issue is making their party staggeringly unpopular with voters — and not just the rank and file. Colorado Rep. Ken Buck stunned Capitol Hill on Tuesday by announcing that he’d simply had enough of Trumpism and would resign in just over a week. In an interview with CNN, Buck slammed Congress as “dysfunctional” and remarked that many of his constituents were sick of Trump.

It isn’t just Buck who’s had enough of Trump’s constant demands for loyalty and submission. Some of the party’s biggest fundraisers are already sitting on the electoral sidelines rather than raise or donate a penny to Trump. Now Newsweek reports that Lara Trump’s RNC takeover is driving even lifelong RNC financiers out of the party.

With Trump about to turn the RNC into his personal ATM and donors abandoning the party in droves, Republicans could enter the heat of the 2024 campaign season unable to compete in a host of critical swing races. That’s going to be a real problem, because GOP candidates have a lot of ground to make up if they want to hold onto their jobs.

Polling from January finds that American voters oppose most of Trump’s far-right policies. Somewhere between 20 percent and 30 percent of Republican voters now say they would not vote for Trump under any circumstances. Trump’s popularity among women has fallen by 5 percent according to a new Quinnipiac poll, in no small part due to his repeated verbal attacks on his rape victim, writer E. Jean Carroll. Problems like that take a lot of campaign money to solve — money that likely will instead be redirected into the pockets of Trump’s criminal defense attorneys.

One RNC donor, Peter Henlein, voiced many Republicans’ outrage at the new arrangement in a post on X. “After a lifetime of donating to every GOP nominee and multiple down ballot candidates every cycle…I’m out,” Henlein wrote. “I donated to help win elections, not to maintain the lifestyle of a billionaire.”

The MAGA movement’s final purity purge may prove to be one too many. It’s worth asking how competitive a national party can be when its platform excludes everyone from Mitt Romney in the moderate wing to Ken Buck on the hard right, from conservative establishment royalty like Liz Cheney to anti-government insurgent Marjorie Taylor Greene. It’s getting awfully hard to be a Republican in good standing, and even the former faithful are starting to feel the burn.

Republicans have built themselves a party whose sole purpose is to appease and gratify Donald Trump.
In the process, they’re quickly losing appeal to anyone else in America, including some of the party’s most faithful warriors. Buck and Romney may be the first Republican leaders to walk out of Congress before being tossed, but they won’t be the last.

The MAGA movement, once so skilled at enforcing loyalty, is cracking. What’s left of the Republican Party is cracking with it. The sooner it shatters, the better.

I've been semi-retired since 32. Beat you to it.

I stay plenty busy. Not only doing my own work, but helping others that actually matter... like family and friends and neighbors. Not strangers that I don't give a shit about and vice versa.

I already know what I'm getting on SSI, and it's plenty for me to live on, even if I decide to never put another dime into it, which isn't likely. I've always said that I'm sure I'll go back to work for a few years here and there to bolster the nest egg, whenever I feel like doing so and completely on my terms. Not only that, but through decades of training myself to live an extremely minimalist lifestyle I'll be able to live on so little income that I'd qualify for just about every other non-taxable safety net program out there which will probably double my retirement income.

The only way I'm not set up in retirement is if the US Government goes bust, and at that point we're all up the creek without a paddle and I'll worry about that bridge when I cross it.

Don't worry about me in the meantime, buddy. I have skills and I have tools. I'll never be homeless or begging on the street.

Your health is poor. Who is paying those bills? Government-paid healthcare for a 45 y.o. white male who refuses to work is not something Trump would allow to continue.

Somewhere between 20 percent and 30 percent of Republican voters now say they would not vote for Trump under any circumstances.

The AP reported that even though a huge majority of Republicans appear to be enthusiastically on board with Trump, a significant fraction of those who voted in the first three GOP nominating contests say they will never vote for him in the general election. According to the analysis of Republican voters, 2 in 10 Iowa voters (20%), 1 in 3 New Hampshire voters (33%), and one-quarter of South Carolina voters (25%) said they would not vote for Trump. While those numbers aren’t huge, Trump needs every last vote to do better than he did in 2020 when — as he often denies — he lost to Joe Biden.

Jack likes to site the polls. They average Trump up by 1.7 points. What is happening under Jacks nose, is that Trump has consistently under performed in the primaries. The polls showed him winning 8 to 10 points higher in each of the states than he did.

That's because the polls in the primaries don't count Democrats voting for Trump because this is not a thing that happened in the past to any degree, yet Nikki Haley herself was using Koch Brothers money to advertise to Democrats in open primary states to vote for her. Which they did.

Trump has only under-performed in the primaries in states with Open Primaries.

Go ahead and see for yourself.

Another tick tock to nothing by the resident dimwit.

Sure thing. We'll see when everything costs even more than it already does in November and nothing that Joe Biden* has inflicted on the country gets any better before the election.

And besides... That's AP reporting that. AP is trash.

It's hilarious watching the cope between you and Ted this last week after it was clear that Trump will indeed be fine.

He will also be your next President.

'So far off the charts it's almost paranormal': Trump's candidacy staggers FT columnist

By Brad Reed | March 13, 2024 12:05PM ET

https://www.rawstory.com/trump-2024-2667503139/

Financial Times columnist Edward Luce on Wednesday took stock of former President Donald Trump's third White House run — and found that much of its shock value had worn off.

However, Luce cautioned that Trump has not gotten any less shocking than he was eight years ago, and he noted that over the last week Trump made inflammatory statements and took several alarming actions that, for any other candidate, would be on the front page of every major American newspaper.

"He purged the Republican National Committee with 60 staff firings — the opening move by his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, who he handpicked as RNC co-chair," wrote Luce.

"He did a U-turn on TikTok, now saying its Chinese parent company should retain ownership. He mimicked Joe Biden’s stutter, insisted that America’s true inflation rate was 50 percent and attacked Jimmy Kimmel as the worst-ever Oscars host. It seems almost trivial to add that new details emerged about Trump’s apparent soft spot for Adolf Hitler."

All of this led Luce to believe that "Trump’s candidacy is so far off the charts it is almost paranormal."

The problem, wrote Luce, is that not highlighting Trump's regular abnormality leads to a massive double standard in which he is not judged anywhere close to the same criteria as other politicians.

"Trump issues regular flights of gibberish that might trigger a primary challenge if they came from Biden," argued Luce, who then cited Trump's utterly baffling answer to a question on inflation this week.

He ended his column with a warning that Americans need to take Trump's dangerous rhetoric seriously, no matter how old-hat it now seems.

"If Trump is true to his word, 10 months from now he will be rounding up millions of illegal immigrants for deportation," he wrote.

"Ukraine’s war against Vladimir Putin’s Russia will be over. The same fate would befall Trump’s federal criminal trials. His Department of Justice would be investigating his opponents. And he will have invoked the Insurrection Act to shut down civilian protests with US troops."

Why so many GOP members of Congress are calling it quits

https://www.vox.com/2023/12/8/23993478/congress-departures-ken-buck-po
larization-dysfunction

House Republicans only hold 218 seats of 435 and they can afford to lose just two seats if they want to pass any measures on a partisan basis.

As the House and Senate GOP conferences have become more alt-right friendly, a number of moderate and institutionalist (meaning those interested in preserving norms and traditional procedures when it comes to passing policy) Republicans have decided to leave, with some signaling that there’s a limited place for their vision in their party.

Buck, for example, is among those who cited the GOP’s extremism on this issue as a specific reason for his retirement. “Too many Republican leaders are lying to America, claiming that the 2020 election was stolen, describing January 6 as an unguided tour of the Capitol, and asserting that the ensuing prosecutions are a weaponization of our justice system,” Buck said in a video announcing his retirement decision.

McCarthy and his ally Rep. Patrick McHenry — who served as acting speaker after McCarthy was deposed and who is also leaving — are among the Republicans who, though they backed Trump, were slightly more institutionalist as well. Both members opposed shutting down the government as leverage for funding cuts, for example, and both struggled with the demands of an ascendant far right that made it clear the duo’s style of politics was out of fashion. Rep. Kay Granger, the head of the House Appropriations Committee who’s long been steeped in policy-making processes, is among those stepping down, too.

“What’s very pronounced for 2024 is we’re seeing a raft of retirements on the part of more institutionalist members,” Cook Political Report’s David Wasserman told Axios in November. “I think that list on the Republican side will grow in the next month.”

In the upper chamber, Sen. Mitt Romney (UT), the only Republican to vote to convict Trump in his impeachment trial twice, is also a notable retirement on the GOP side who has openly criticized the former president and his influence on the party.

“Look, my wing of the party talks about policy, and about issues that will make a difference to the lives of the American people,” Romney told ABC News’s Rachel Scott. “The Trump wing of the party talks about resentments of various kinds and getting even and settling scores and revisiting the 2020 election.”

Proof for some of the worst claims about Trump

Opinion by Armando Gaytan, Contributor

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/column-proof-for-some-of-the-w
orst-claims-about-trump/ar-BB1jQWwp

In response to a guest column by Gene Arnold on February 25... In his column, Arnold suggests that former President Donald Trump is innocent of all the negative characterizations levied against him, namely; pathological liar, personality disorder, no morals or principles, dictatorial fantasies, cult leader etc. He further claims that Trump is a self-made man and is protecting America against socialism.

Let me address some of these characterizations by citing some statements from notable sources that are closer to the situation:

Pathological liar: The Washington Post in 2021 counted some 30,000 false or misleading claims by Trump while he was in office.

Personality disorder: Former Harvard psychiatrist Lance Dodes diagnosed Trump as deranged, delusional and with defective reality. A writer for the Salon, Chauncey Devega described Trump as enraged, paranoid and psychotic.

No Morals or principle: US Senator Ted Cruz describes Trump as “...utterly amoral...morality does not exist for him...” And Cruz is on his side.

Dictatorial fantasies: Trump himself claims he can pardon himself, must be free of criminal charges and must have absolute immunity in carrying out the functions of the presidency. The Washington Post described the situation as, “A Trump dictatorship is increasingly inevitable.” Liz Cheney, former US Rep. from Wyoming, called Trump, “The most dangerous man ever to inhabit the oval office.

Cult Leader: Politico's writer Donell Harvin in 2023 felt that “...Trump's threat to homeland security led extremist groups to adopt him as their de facto leader.”

Want more? Well, I'll stop here.

Secondly, Arnold claims that Trump is a self-made man. The New York Times reports that Trump was born rich and inherited some $400 million in today's money, scores of apartment buildings and a thriving successful construction business. Humble beginning?!

Finally, with absolutely, no proof, no evidence or example, Arnold claims that the Democrats are leading us to socialism, communism and eventual dictatorship. Socialism by definition is, “A society where the means of production, distribution and exchange are own by the community as a whole." I know of no one, or of any actions taken by the Democratic party, toward eliminating private business ownership. True, they do tend toward “...Promoting the General Welfare...” as contained in the US Constitution. Trump, on the other hand, would skip the socialist and communist part and head us right into a dictatorship, by his own words.

What really frightens me, is that in spite all Trump's idiosyncrasies, there are perhaps 40 to 50 million US citizens that hang on to his every word.

I'll give you my 71 years of experience with Trumptards: they deserve the many misfortunes that, only to themselves, seem not to be their fault. Trump is suffering from numerous misfortunes that Trumptards fail to recognize as all Trump's fault.
