Seeking asylum is not an illegal invasion. It's perfectly legal.

You're just a low-information Nazi dupe. The kind they recruit: Ignorant, hateful, a failure in life with no friends, and looking for some way to blame his failure on "them."

Seeking asylum for economic reasons is not a recognized reason for asylum.

If they cross the border for this reason, then it is considered an act of invasion.

These people were invaders.

Gómez Alonzo, who died on Christmas Eve after becoming ill and feverish while detained at a highway checkpoint with his father, is the second child to die in U.S. Border Patrol custody this month. A 7-year-old indigenous Guatemalan girl, Jakelin Caal Maquín, died on December 8, two days after she and her father presented themselves at the border in a bid for asylum.

A recent report by the Center for Migration Studies found that immigration officials systematically and disproportionately deny medical assistance to migrants who speak indigenous languages. Both Jakelin Caal Maquín and Felipe Gómez Alonzo came from indigenous communities in Guatemala.

As far as the indigenous peoples problem... do you suppose the issue is that nobody understands the language?? Jeez! WHOODA THUNK?

Signym, over the years you’ve gotten less supportive of Trump, yet when he gets into trouble, there you are, Signym, explaining why deaths caused by his policies are not his fault. But he can make excuses much better than you ever could:

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump
Any deaths of children or others at the Border are strictly the fault of the Democrats and their pathetic immigration policies that allow people to make the long trek thinking they can enter our country illegally. They can’t. If we had a Wall, they wouldn’t even try! The two … children in question were very sick before they were given over to Border Patrol. The father of the young girl said it was not their fault, he hadn’t given her water in days. Border Patrol needs the Wall and it will all end. They are working so hard & getting so little credit!

I think I can do better than Signym or Trump, if he would let me tweet for him:

“Any deaths of the children I've kidnapped are strictly the fault of parents who didn’t pay the ransom.” says Donald Trump.

“The nagging feeling I keep having is that when this is all over, people are somehow going to find a way to blame me — of all people! — for kidnapping a bunch of kids, locking them in cages, and threatening to kill them unless someone gives me a duffel bag containing five billion dollars. If you won’t pay me that right away so I can use it to build a giant steel monument to racism, what kind of a monster are you?”
https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1076239448461987841

“I’ve seen some people on the internet claiming that if I really loved children so much, I wouldn’t have sent any of them home in boxes. This is offensive, wrong, and deeply hurtful to me. None of this would have happened if it weren’t for the Democrats, and I refuse to be shamed for someone else’s mistakes. The worst thing you can say about me is that I love children not wisely, but too well: I love them so much that I wanted to send a message to the parents of the other children locked in my basement, and even the parents of children who are not yet in my basement, in hopes they would listen to their consciences, do the right thing, and pay me $5 billion before I kill any more children.”

I think that was a pretty good job I did defending Trump’s border policy consequences.

Signym, I don't think you completely understand the concept of "ignore". For example: to "ignore" phone calls means don't answer, don't pick up to say "Liar!" or, if you are Trump, falsely accuse Democrats of supporting "open borders" over 60 times (Democratic lawmakers support border security, but not his border wall).

My only argument to this is that the wall is somehow magically going to make this all stop 100%. It won't.

I don't feel that these parents intentionally killed their kids. They were ignorant of the laws. Mainly because the MSM propagates disinformation regarding asylum.

This is a story of a woman who was allegedly beaten by her husband, and a poor man who thought they could flee their shitty lives and come to America with their kids. They can't. They never could. They did not fit the very narrow criteria. They never did.

These kids would not have died because the parents would never have tried if Democrats and Republicans were actually serious about border security and these three things were happening already:

1. No money, education or healthcare given to non-citizens and their children.

2. No paychecks for wages for anybody without a social security number as well as the heaviest fines imaginable to anybody caught paying illegals under the table.

3. The MSM doesn't hide either of these policies, and it doesn't lie to would-be illegal invaders about what qualifies as a refugee.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

About that Wall of Trump's?

As the #TrumpShutdown continues, and families feel the pain, remember 100 senators voted to keep government open. 100-0. A perfectly bipartisan vote. When the hell does that ever happen? @realDonaldTrump is not only on the wrong side of history, he’s on the wrong side of math.

Why doesn't 100 Senators override a veto? Shouldn't 100-0 compel any President to Sign the Bill?

It would, but the House of Representatives wouldn't put it to a vote and so put Donald on the spot. Instead, the House "Freedom Caucus" takes the Senate's 100-0 bill and tacked on $5 billion. It went back to the Senate and in that form was voted down.

You will stay forever wrong, 1kiki. The House passed the bill to keep the government open. The Senate passed almost the same bill by 100 to 0. Those GOP idiots in the House can't draft a bill to save their lives, they are that stupid. Then the Senate's bill went back to the House for a proforma vote where the so-called "Freedom Caucus" of Trump zombies mesmerized by The Donald tacked on $5 billion to the Senate's superiorly drafted bill because Trump asked for it. Then the Senate said Trump was an idiot to not have noticed that 100% of the Senate did NOT want a Wall and the Senate was NOT going to vote for a Wall, even if Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (on his way out the door to a lucrative "retirement") decided to slip it in as a way to grease Ryan's future slide into great wealth.

In his exit interview, John Kelly blames Jeff Sessions for the disastrous family separation policy at the border.

Though he tried to run an orderly White House for the president, some things, Kelly insisted, were outside his control. When US immigration authorities began separating young migrant children from their parents at the border last summer, Kelly says that even the White House was blindsided by the policy. He blames the fallout on Jeff Sessions, who was fired last month from his post as attorney general.

“What happened was Jeff Sessions, he was the one that instituted the zero-tolerance process on the border that resulted in both people being detained and the family separation,” Kelly told the LA Times. “He surprised us.”

The finger-pointing at Sessions is a noteworthy admission considering how the administration addressed the widespread public outcry to the policy, first by denying its existence, then blaming Democrats and past immigration laws before eventually taking ownership of the policy. Then after weeks of backlash, Trump put an end to family separation with an executive order.

Yes, it seems to be working. There has been a significant reduction in refugees (oops, my bad), I meant to say "illegals" coming to our borders.
Ya know, I must admit when I am wrong, and in this case, boy was I wrong.

Just think, the deaths of these two young kids while in U.S. custody will
deter these "folks" from traveling over two thousand miles to our southern-most border. That long and treacherous journey that terminates at our border with Mexico (who's going to pay for that wall).

And I will bet anything that the parents of these kids do everything in their power to have them die just as they get to our border; then try and sneak past the border patrol and die of starvation or of thirst. Boy oh boy, are those
illegals sneaky. Just like those sneaky fucking Russians.

The US doesn't even view "financial refugees" as legitimate refugees in the first place, so these adults were throwing their children in harms way for no reason at all.

Risking their kids for zero ROI.

I do agree that this story should get A LOT more coverage than it has. If it did, these parents would know that they had nothing to gain from trying to do this in the first place and they wouldn't put their children through this for no reason. If they had been educated on the facts, it would have saved two children's lives.

Graham, a Republican, told reporters after meeting Trump for lunch at the White House that Trump was receptive to Graham’s idea of a deal that might provide work permits to so-called Dreamers, people brought illegally to the United States as children, in exchange for money for physical border barriers.

“The president was upbeat, he was in a very good mood, and I think he’s receptive to making a deal,” Graham said, adding that Trump found the potential Dreamer concession “interesting.”

“I don’t see Democrats giving us more money unless they get something. So, the one thing we talked about is making deals,” Graham said.

They are called dreamers because of the DREAM Act (acronym for Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act). It sure would be a pleasant improvement if citizens born in the USA were living under the same pressures as the dreamers. It would be nice if the native-born American citizens either start acting like they have a purpose in life or else get their stupid, worthless asses kicked out of the country to go live in a Central American jungle like in the Harrison Ford movie "The Mosquito Coast". Clearly, Signym, that California where you purport to be living must be a Utopia compared to Texas where I live. My Texas is way too much like Firefly, except without the spaceships. There are bad people in Texas, people who Mal or River would shoot dead or I would sue, and some of them are legitimate businessmen and some are Trump voters and none of the bad people think of themselves as bad. They are deluded about themselves and I take them to court for a judge to knock the delusions out of them. I've been 100% successful, but sometimes I wish I could just hire Jayne to shoot 'em rather than a lawyer. Jayne would be quicker, but I wouldn't make as much money as winning a lawsuit. (Come to think of it, I wish I had made a business deal with Trump. He would have broken his promises, my lawyers would have stomped him without mercy into the mud and today he would not be President. Sadly, the reality is that Trump has no Texas real estate, so there shall be no stomping him. www.curbed.com/maps/donald-trump-real-estate-properties )

Why do countries have their own customs, law, culture? Why do nations have a language? Why do States and Country have borders? Should we tear down every border should they tear down the borders of Italy? Nigeria? Israel? Saudi Arabia? Iran? Japan? France? Chile? and flood every nation with thousands and thousands and millions of white, black, yellow and brown people with all random languages and random problems?

Why can't the world tear down the walls and fence and wires and military around Saudi and say Israel? Flood the ethno state jewish Israelis, the jew theocracy and the state of Israel with thousands and millions from Kenya, Ukraine, Pakistan, Iran, Brazil, North Korea, Romaina, India ... because multi something world people... or all for everyone?

The Wall is not going to work because 22 million have already gotten past the Wall. If Trump had an effective system to deport those millions, that same wonderfully effective system could handle the nearly constant daily leakage of illegals through the Southern Border, with or without a new and improved Trump Wall to slow the leakage.

You might need to re-think that analogy of the Trump Wall as a Dike with Trump as the fat Dutch boy cramming his body into the leaking hole. The "water" has already gotten past Trump. He needs to start the pumps and remove the water that is pooling behind him in the form of 22 million illegal alien workers, many working at his golf courses, hotels, and construction sites.

Earlier I mentioned Harrison Ford in the movie "The Mosquito Coast". He is playing the role of Trump. Ford is a non-stop talker with big plans on reorganizing society because he is unhappy with America as it is. His family goes along with the Father figure as he sends them into one catastrophe after another until Harrison Ford is finally dead and his poorly planned innovation of society stops dead, too.
www.metacritic.com/movie/the-mosquito-coast

"Ford gives us a character who has tunnel vision, who is uncaring toward his family or anyone else, who is totally lacking in a sense of humor, who is egocentric to the point of madness. It is a brilliant performance - so effective, indeed, that we can hardly stand to spend two hours in the company of this consummate jerk." That is Trump.

Let's put aside history, and deal with the now. Okay, the father and his son travel thousands of miles...nothing happens until he reaches our border and is taken into custody by CBP/ICE.

So, the boy survives that "dangerous" trek and yet he gets here and suddenly
dies. I don't get it (a rhetorical statement), so that means that the father keeps him alive long enough to get to our border and he conveniently gets sick
so that he can receive medical attention here in the U.S.

Amazing! And the coyotes were smart enough to coach their charges on how to defraud the American government. Wow, makes perfect sense. Why not wait to
get sick on our dime. Man oh man, Trump should hire those coyotes...oh wait, he already has.

Apparently, you have never been on ship in a storm that has already taken on enough water to make it hard to handle. The captain's choice is to either start pumping water out, right now, as fast as he can, or wait until the ship is back in dry dock to plug external leaks. Trump's Border Patrol has already let 22 million illegal aliens leak into the country over decades. But Trump's Wall to stop more aliens won't even be 50% complete for years. While Trump voters wait for that construction project to slowly get to 60%, then 70%, then 80% in a few years, they ought to expect Trump to have a plan before the ship sinks. Trump already has all the laws he will ever need to remove those 22 million illegal aliens that have been here for decades, but he's not using those laws. Instead, he wants even more legislation from the Democrats, and he will let the whole country sink if he does not get it. He refuses to turn on the bilge pumps he already has.

To make it even clearer: Trump wants the passive solution -- His Wall. It sits and does nothing. I want to see Trump actively, and immediately, lay his hands on millions of illegal aliens who have been living here for decades and punch them in the face before throwing them out of the country, but that is the opposite of passivity. Trump does not have the courage or energy or will to do it, even though he has all the laws he will ever need authorizing him to do it. The first step, the one that Trump won't take, is to fire all his illegal alien workers. He doesn't need the Democrats to pass a law before he terminates those employees.

Wrong, again, 6ix. I have a real deep hostility toward Trump-voting Texans who have hired illegal aliens. About the harm to aliens, I don't give a damn, but I do want to see my competitors harmed and I can't deport their illegal work force. Trump has to do it for me. YOU brought it up (America is a land of immigrants) and now you want to ditch it? America is a LAND OF NATIVES TOO, SON. And those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Yep genius, diseases sometimes work that way!

Because BEFORE you becomes symptomatic there is the incubation period ... which can be YEARS for some viruses (HIV) but is about 3-10 days for most common viruses ... and the "prodrome" where you feel unwell but without specific symptoms, which can be another day. The boy didn't "get sick" after he crossed the border, he "got sick" BEFORE he crossed the border. He just didn't become symptomatic until he was in custody.

Quote:

Amazing! And the coyotes were smart enough to coach their charges on how to defraud the American government. Wow, makes perfect sense. Why not wait to

God, you're an idiot. People die all the time under coyote's "care" when crossing the border, but you want to pretend this is some sort of genius timing on their part, or that of the dad's? THEY ROLL THE DICE, SON. This just happened to be one of those times when the kid became symptomatic right after crossing.

But if you really want to look at the "now" (instead of just finding ridiculous excuses to continue your whipped-up rage) ... LOOK at that event. Look at ALL of the event. Don't just pick the parts you want to get exercised about!

From what I gather, the family spoke an indigenous language, which probably nobody in ICE understood. That probably explains why the boy's illness was noticed BY AN ICE STAFFER ... possibly the father was trying to communicate his concern but nobody knew what he was saying*. The boy and his father were taken to hospital WHILE THEY WERE IN CUSTODY. He was released with medication, and taken BACK to hospital when he got sicker. Was there a deficiency in the medical care? It doesn't sound like it to me. But we would need to know the cause of death, and we don't know WHAT the boy died of.

What happened to you? You used to be sane. Now you don't even make any sense any more.

*A very good example why immigrants, if they want to stay, need to LEARN ENGLISH.

SECOND, the thought of deporting illegals without controlling the border makes as much sense as shoveling water uphill. The only thing that you ever posted on the topic that makes the slightest bit of sense is cracking down- HARD- on people who employ illegal aliens, because that can be done irrespective of what happens to the flow of migrants.

But more importantly: You got hoist on your own petard. YOU wanted an America where people couldn't agree on anything. Now Americans can't even agree on deporting illegal immigrants. Welcome to the nation that you wanted!

YOU brought it up (America is a land of immigrants) and now you want to ditch it? America is a LAND OF NATIVES TOO, SON. And those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Okay, the father and his son travel thousands of miles...nothing happens until he reaches our border and is taken into custody by CBP/ICE.

So, the boy survives that "dangerous" trek and yet he gets here and suddenly
dies. I don't get it (a rhetorical statement), so that means that the father keeps him alive long enough to get to our border and he conveniently gets sick so that he can receive medical attention here in the U.S.

Amazing! And the coyotes were smart enough to coach their charges on how to defraud the American government. Wow, makes perfect sense. Why not wait to
get sick on our dime. Man oh man, Trump should hire those coyotes...oh wait, he already has.
