Sorry, but I'm afraid that ship has sailed.

Good luck prying the devices from the kid's hands now, or even from their parents who love the fact that they have GPS trackers on their children.

You should have listened to people like me who were warning you about this for more than a decade.

The only way you're putting that shit back in the horse now is by giving the Government unprecedented power over human behavior and what they do in their own homes, which obviously is a can of worms best left unopened.

I do applaud the attempt at locking kid's phones up in bags when they're at school, but I wonder how effective that actually is. I'm sure the locks are very easy to break into without breaking the bag. The Lockpicking Lawyer probably already has a how-to video on it.

That would be the biggest thing I think that needs to be done. No kid should be able to get on their phone at any point in time during school hours unless there was an actual literal emergency. If they want to get on the internet, the only means available to them should be through compters or laptops, and even then the school's IT person should have already blocked all social media and any other potential distractions from learning like movies or music sites. They should also be on top of what sites that the kids are trying to get on that aren't blocked and have the ability to block those sites from the network as well. It ain't rocket science.
