Fox New may have the highest ratings, but the sheer numbers of all the rest of tv news and big-market newsprint crush the tiny Fox voice. They can create any reality they want at any time. We know he does not support Isreal and wants to avoid confronting Iran. We know he does not respect or support the military or law enforcement. He's in bed with the unions.

Add overt racism and I don't see a path to victory for him.

I've not seen the whole video, nor looked into this prof's background. That's not my point here.

During his campaign, many 'old guard' civil right's figures, Jessie, Al, and some others, were a bit stand offish towards Obama. Some voiced that Barack hadn't been " down for the struggle " , as I believe Rev (laugh) Sharpton put it. Meaning, Obama hadn't served his time on the front lines of the marches, the rallies, etc... and yet here is video proof, of him making a very public speech, on behalf of a Harvard professor.

I've not seen it discussed much, but is Obama ushering in a rival faction of the civil rights movement ? He certainly does have a background in more radical, and even sophisticated brand of influencing social change.

Just a casual observation, is all.

What your describing is the division within the Civil Rights movement dating back to the 1960s. You actually have a number of factions. The most conservative faction is the Martin Luther King factions. You've got Sharpton and Jackson claiming King's mantel, but its actual shared power between them, the NAACP and some other groups (like the Southern Poverty Law Center, the Baptists, etc best thing about King is we can all claim some of his legacy including me, a white prosecutor in Ohio...).

Another faction is Nation of Islam.

Another is this Black Liberation Theology and some other radicals that combine faith, Civil Rights, and socialism under an umbrella. Obama is from this group. This group claims that the Civil Rights movement (Dr. King) was all a sham by the White Man and the Jews.

Actually, we didn't. This video, in particular, as well as others, have been purposefully kept off the air, until now. In fact, there's some tape of a news editor stating that specifically, that they held on to this tape for now, and doesn't care who sees it.
