CANTTAKESKY

Firefly.

A beautiful sunset.

The ocean.

Life.

Gorgeous photographs of places I'll never get to go.

My kids. Esp when they giggle.

Great food made with fresh, natural ingredients.

Kindness. Esp uncommon compassion.

New ideas, new perspectives, new possibilities.

Music that makes me cry.

NIKI2

Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...

Boy, I agree with all of those (except I'd substitute "my dogs" for "my kids", since I have none). Otherwise: Everything you said.

Lessee...you covered a lot of the good ones, but I'll try:

Rain.
Nature.
Going to sleep in my Outback in the rain.
Baby animals of almost any kind.
Riding my motorcycle in the back country.
A really good movie, whether it makes me cry or laugh.
Flowers, especially blooming wildflowers.
Watching the birds, squirrels and hummingbirds that come to our feeders.
The joy of my huskies when they run.
The Sierra Nevada mountains around but away from Tahoe.

FREMDFIRMA

Spring.
Well, other than the pollen, yick, bleh!
But the gentle winds, beautiful sunshine, all the world exploding with life, natures promise that she ain't given up on humanity yet.

S'funny too, given my interest in Anime, not only do we have cherry blossoms here, since there's a bunch of cherry trees in the neighborhood, but also "Hanami", or Sakura-watching, since we have the conditions of falling blossoms and light wind here also - which is fun in it's own right and here just as there, a rather perfect excuse to have an open air picnic and get blitzed on winter wine or saki, depending on taste.

I'll see if I can get you some pictures of it this year when it happens, I think you'd find it cool to see.

PS. Since the trees are at my work site, and along the path of my security rounds, I get Hanami AND Tsukimi - which go together right nicely, thank you.
