At the moment, I would LOVE to see Wulf confronted with two rotweilers and shooting his way out. By the time he got one (even if he could, with hands shaking and two vicious dogs running at him), the other one would be at his throat. Given how I feel at the moment, that would be very satisfying.

I've got a pair of huskies I'd add to it, only they'd just lick him to death. Sigh...huskies make LOUSEY guard dogs...

Wow, that is one crossed line. Actually, Wulf, you crossed this same line when you said that you wished we lived in a society where people could shoot other people if they were offended.

You guys have both expressed violent inclinations, as have other people on the board I'm sure. I'm not sure why I'm bothering. I'm not going to change anything, and now that I'm thinking about it, I think I'm breaking a promise I made to Niki to stop harping on her about stuff.

As for guard dogs, if I hadda pick it'd be a four pack of angry little yapper dogs - what's scarier, a Shark or a Pirahna pack, neh ?

Besides, all they gotta do is trip em up and make a lotta noise, Forquet will handle the rest - although my idea for Wendys mossberg actually seemed so damned useful I applied it myself, cause not only is the bang less horrific indoors (I wonder if I can legally do a teleshot-conversion), rubber ball shot is far easier on the walls and furnishings, and it ain't like they won't be rather completely disabled after takin a burst of THOSE, and if it comes to it, the Vis/Radom is loaded with real bullets.

By why cap someone you don't have to - not even for moral reasons, I mean, just the damage and the mess isn't reason ENOUGH, have you ever had to do a cleanup after something like that, cause I have, and it ain't pretty - not just the biohazard and body fluids, but the plumbing, electrical, and drywall repairs are a pain in the ass, not to mention expensive.

One good thing about coming to boards like these, is that I have gotten a lot more insight into issues like gun control in the US. I just didn't understand why it was an issue at all. I still disagree with common US policy on guns, but I at least I get the reasoning behind it as being more than just loopy thinking. I might add that I'm kind of sold on the militia thing - I think that would be a great solution to lots of problems, but in my world, people would be compelled to do some sort of 'service to country' and if you did the militia training, you'd get to keep the weapon, with a whole lot of restrictions on how you keep it, ongoing training etc.

Of course this would mean that the standing army would be almost completely disbanded. Militias are for home defense only and would not get involved in any overseas fighting.

I'd prefer to see strong United Nations force for any overseas fighting that was deemed necessary, one that you could volunteer for if you felt strongly about that particular conflict - one where no individual nation went in, or separate nations, but one force, with one set of rules of engagement.

Anyway, off topic, but this thread was as dead as a dodo so..
