“Jazz what are you doing” preacher said looking up at jazz standing on the edge of the railing 2 stories up. “Captain” preacher yelled Kaylee and Inara yelled when they entered the cargo bay and looked up at jazz “What in gorram hell is she doing” wash said as he entered the cargo bay and looking up at the girl standing on the railing “What are you doing sweetheart” preacher said in a calm voice “Just standing” she said looking down “so far down yet so near” she said “Why don’t you come down from there” Shepard said looking at her “Ok” she put her foot out “No!!” they all yelled she stoped and looked down again “There are many things you don’t know about me and what I am capable of doing” she said looking at mal “Ok” mal said slowly walking up the stairs Jayne did the same “Talk to her preacher” Zoë said “where’s river” “Hear I am” river said as she stepped into the cargo bay and looking horrified at jazz standing so high “Hey what ya think your doing” Jayne said walking up the opposite set of stairs to mal “Jayne!” Simon said looking at him “What I am only asking” he replied “hey you cant fall and get all splattered yet girl you haven’t finished that princesses bride book and you don’t finish it then I don’t get to read it” he said “ and besides you haven’t finished telling me the rest of the story” Jayne said “Ok jayne” why don’t we finish the story with her falling from a ledge” she said looking at him. Now mal and he were on the platform looking at her.

She signed and looked at Jayne “ok jayne after I watched my sister, mother, younger brother and sister “the twins” were next, they head were bashed in and there blood was drunken and then my family was skinned and then burnt and sewn into there clothes and then they left. I crawled out the air ducked and gave my family a burial. I was 17 I was alone for 3 months. But then a ship docked with her it was serenity I thought that they were scavengers and I set traps and I almost killed mal I was a great fighter even mal said that that’s why I got this job I am good at everything when the ship docked I gave Zoë and mal and even wash hell to pay on my ship I was hiding in air ducks and I was playing a game and when you come on to my ship, then you have to play.” She said with a wicked smile on her face. “After I put up a fight the crew of the serenity brought me back here and I fell in love with this place.” Her wicked smile weakened into a heavenly smile which made Jayne feel all tenderly and loving. He shook it off and kept looking at her as she continued with her story. “I had not slept in weeks I couldn’t sleep because I had nigh terrors. So I hadn’t slept and my body was weak from not eating in days. Kaylee was about 17 when I met her; she liked having someone her own age around. When Mal finally court me I put up a struggle but it didn’t last long I was weak. Mal gave me food and a room on serenity” jazz looked around at the ship “yes you serenity” jazz called out so the ship would hear her. “But mal knew that I had seen Reavers kill he was going to put a bullet through my head.” Shepard looked up at mal and frowned. “What preacher” mal hissed at him. “But he didn’t when the time came he couldn’t do it, and Kaylee and I had become so attached to each other she would have never forgiven mal if he had killed me. That day I swore to mal that I would never become a Reaver, that day I took my knife and …. Well you always wanted to know where I got that scar on my hand from Jayne, well now you know.” She said looking at Jayne her eyes seemed to burn right throw him he had to look away. She smiled lightly at this and went on. “Mal gave me a job and a place to stay in the 3 months that I was on that ship alone I learnt many things all I had was time, and I used it.” “I learnt what I needed to survive I learnt how to kill, how to defend myself, to track I learnt many things”. She said giggling to her self. And when I became apart of this crew Mal taught me about life, Inara taught me about love, wash taught me to fly, and Kaylee taught me about serenity. She said as she smiled down at Kaylee.
