Get your butt back in the line! It's weekend gross time.

You hold! The Aussies are holding! America can hold too!

Get yourself to a theater to see Serenity!

Map of US theaters showing Serenity:
http://imdb.com/title/tt0379786/cinemashowtimes?location=map

Theater too far. Buy an on-line ticket and don't go.

Saving your money for the DVD. Post a similar message on
other Firefly/Serenity boards. Email fellow Browncoats. They
may not know Serenity is still playing. Bump this or similiar threads.

Do you know of a theater not on the map? Post it.

If your theater gets sold out, wait and see if you can have
a paid for seat that someone did not show up for.

The Big Darn Movie is still playing!

Agree in principle.

As an aside, that IMDB map is not 100% accurate. This week's version omits a theater in my area that is still showing Serenity, though down to one show a day.

So if in doubt, check other sources. A good one is www.rottentomatoes.com. Just use the drop-down box on the left of the main page, pick Serenity, and enter your zip. It has a wide radius, so it's likely to find every theater within at least 50 miles.

And yes, I'll be going back to the theater tonight -- which will put me into double digits for viewings.

Ain't about you, Jayne. It's about what they need.

EMBERS

Latest numbers from Box Office Mojo:
domestic: $33,880,000
foreign: 9,971,849

TOTAL BOX:$43,851,849
which is starting to move the BDM to profit country
and it is STILL in 306 movie theaters...which isn't nothing...
We can continue to grow those box office figures with three hundred theaters!

plus it has been sold to USA cable for $3 million (to air in 2008 - I wish it would be sooner:
http://www.fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=2&t=14016)

more than you wanted to know, right?

Point is that eventually we WILL get our sequel,

watch the R. Tam Session vids: http://www.hittarivertam.nu/
and buy the 'Serenity' comics published by Dark Horse,
and have you joined the Browncoats yet?

Double check your figures. I think it is
about $25,000,000 domestic.

And according to gossi on
http://browncoats.serenitymovie.com/serenity/

the movie has to gross $80 mil to $100 mil domestic to show a profit to qualify for a
sequel.

That is $80 - $25 = $55 million.

Get your butt back in the line! Double check the US map link above and other online ticket seller like moviefone (I saw a sponsered link on this website) and see it at a first or second run theater. A whole bunch of second run theaters showed up Friday. The ones I saw do not sell tickets on-line.

If there were only 70,000 die-hard fans (with money) and they each bought a $5 ticket that would be 350,000.

People are going to remember that the movie did not even make back its cost. $40 mil - 25 mil =
15 mil. 15 mil divided by 70,000 is $214. But profit is at least $55 million away.

As long at I can go see the movie in a theater, I will go. As long as I can buy an on-line ticket, I will. Every ticket gets us closer to $55 mil.

The more tickets sold, the longer the theaters keep it playing and the more chance the crowds will see it.

The first-run theater in my area is still playing.

It is not madness--Its love.

Serenity DVDs for Christmas!
