Different film references within trailer.

Hey all. In an attempt to start a post that'll get more than one response, I was just wondering if any of you guys picked up on some film references within the trailer for SERENITY.

Two references that really stood out in my mind had to do with River. The shot in which Simon explodes the sonic bomb overhead has River strapped to a chair. Am I the only one who thinks the chair is a reference to BRAZIL and it's famous interrogation chair seen at the end? Also, the shot where we see the Operative walk through the liquid picture of River seems to me to be a very obvious shout out to Ridley Scott's 1985 flick LEGEND and the moment where Tim Curry's devil character steps out from inside the mirror and reveals himself.

Am I the only one who noticed this, or did anyone else here pick up on those. And are there any other sci-fi references or other references that I didn't notice?
