Well, what a difference four years makes. Now that we’ve seen protests so violent not even NBC could ignore them, Democrats are scrambling, doing damage control for what looks like a big headache for Joe Biden’s embattled re-election bid.

In the Summer of 2020, I knew that whatever had taken hold of the Left wasn’t likely to go away just because Joe Biden took office. I was worried enough heading into the election that my gut was telling me to vote for Trump, not Biden. I was too afraid then to do much of anything except watch in horror as the last four years played out.

Because her message seems to be mixed. She portrays some protesters as beguiled into violence, Patty Hearst -like, with their cause. But Antifa and BLM, with their made-up/ designed to divide America "causes", seemed not to register very strongly with her.

TBH if there was a cause worth demonstrating for, it would be to prevent America from aiding and abetting Israel's ongoing genocide of hundreds of thousands of non-Jews. Not St George Floyd.

And if I were to be afraid of anything, it would be Washington DC and our security state.

Nah. The DNC, the media, and the police (who were encouraged to "let it burn" and tolerate "takeoever" encampments that sprang up like mushrooms earlier) are doing everything in their power to quash this inconvenient cause which threatens Biden's* reelection.

So what is there to be afraid of, if you're a Democrat, except that your rhetoric and divisive causes have run away from you and might cause you to lose your grip on power?

That's could be Sasha's real concern, and she might still be shilling for the DNC.

Anyway, this could all play out like the anti(Vietnam)war protests, including a DNC convention in Chicago. But my guess us the security state will have a firm grip on the protests and throttle them before then.

Trump did nothing. And he had no excuse other than the Federal government does not enforce local laws against arson. And nobody put handcuffs on the police, who were helpless sad sacks with guns but no brains and didn't know what to do. It was the local police's responsibility to stop arson, but they didn't do it. Instead, the police left it to the local Fire Departments to handle arson.

It appears that MAGA means all responsibility for local law enforcement and arresting arsonists is heaped upon the President.
