Anne Rice author of "Interview with the Vampire" and the Vampire Chronicles dead at 80.

Also Michael Nesmith of the Monkees dead at 78.

And yes I know these are both older people but they added something to the world with their writing and music.

Wow. I had no idea Anne Rice was that old. I was just a kid when I saw Interview With The Vampire.

I remember watching the Monkees on reruns when I was real little too.

It's sad that they're gone, but it's cool that they've been immortalized in a way too.

Most of us won't even be a memory after the last person who knew us is gone.

Neither did I about Anne Rice. I read "Interview with the Vampire" when I was in high school in paperback then found a cheap copy of it in hard cover and bought it years ago.

I can remember watching the Monkees in reruns when I was in elementary school so I would have been around 8 years old then. Sometimes they would repeat when I was in high school and I would watch the shows. I think I have 3 or 4 of their albums. Makes me very glad that I've never got rid of my vinyl.

Nesmith had many accomplishments.

One of my favorite Movie soundtracks was from Timerider, from 1982. This work was never released until 2000. Which was very frustrating. The film was from a time before the common application of better soundtracks to TV and film.
Nesmith was integral in the making of the film, and the soundtrack.
