In a letter dated January 21, 2021, California State Senator Susan Rubio wrote to the director of the FBI and the United States Attorney General, asking them both to investigate allegations several women had made against Marilyn Manson. On February 1, former fiancée Evan Rachel Wood was the first to publicly accuse him of abuse. On Instagram and in a statement to Vanity Fair, she claimed he had emotionally, physically, and sexually abused her during their relationship over a decade earlier.Following Wood's allegations, two other women claimed sexual misconduct against Manson, and multiple women made various other allegations. A former assistant claimed he witnessed Manson verbally abusing his current wife, Lindsay Usich.

On 1 February, Westworld star Evan Rachel Wood came forward to accuse Manson of grooming her and abusing her “for years”.

“The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson,” Wood wrote in an Instagram post.

“He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission. I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail.

“I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives. I stand with the many victims who will no longer be silent.”

In the wake of Wood’s allegations, other women came forward to share their own allegations against Manson, including sexual assault, psychological abuse, and various forms of violence, coercion and intimidation.

Manson has denied all of the allegations, calling them “horrible distortions of reality”.

Since the allegations were made, he has been dropped by his record label Loma Vista and his agency, CAA.

Bianco, 38, claims Manson – whose real name is Brian Warner – left her with physical scars and PTSD during the two months they lived together at his Los Angeles home while dating in 2011, a time in which she felt like a "prisoner".

Manson again brought Bianco to Los Angeles in 2011, ostensibly to appear in his feature film Phantasmagoria, though that project also never materialised.

During that visit, Manson would not allow Bianco to leave home without his permission, chased her around their apartment with an axe, cut her with a "Nazi knife" without her consent and posted pictures of the cuts online, the lawsuit alleges.

"It took Ms Bianco years to understand the extent of Mr Warner's physical, sexual, psychological, and emotional abuse. Her career suffered due to the deterioration of her mental health," the suit says.

It says Bianco feared for her safety at the time and did not go to authorities. But her lawyer Jay D Ellwanger said she had now come forward and spoken to the FBI and local law enforcement.

Bianco first aired many of the allegations in February. She was one of several women who spoke out after actor Evan Rachel Wood said on social media that Manson sexually, physically and emotionally abused her during their relationship. Manson's record label and agents dropped him at the time.

Manson and Wood start dating – then break up

Wood was 19 when she started dating the then 37-year-old Manson in 2007.

In her recent Instagram statement, Wood wrote that he “started grooming me when I was a teenager.”

The pair split in 2008 before reuniting in 2010, when they were briefly engaged, before breaking up for good the same year.

Manson spoke about self-harming following the initial break-up. He told an interview with Spin in 2009 that he had “fantasies every day about smashing (Wood’s) skull in with a sledgehammer.”

Appearing before a state panel in April of this year, Wood once again detailed her trauma from domestic violence, but declined to name her abuser.

“The fear of being judged by society is debilitating and the fear of retaliation from my abuser is paralysing,” she said.

“I have been diagnosed with complex PTSD, including disassociation, panic attacks, night terrors, agoraphobia, impulse control, chronic pain in my body, among other symptoms.”
