And I can't even find this video on YouTube since they're suppressing it so well...

But by all means... let's keep pretending that mail in ballots won't be the worst thing that every happened to our Democratic process.

Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

One of the biggest problems in US voting is lack of voter participation. I think a lot of that could be cured by extending the vote to more than 1 day, making it a national holiday, making the vote mandatory, vote by mail, and adding NONE OF THE ABOVE to the ballot - with consequences. Making the vote easier and more meaningful would help that problem.

https://ballotpedia.org/Voter_turnout_in_United_States_elections
year all highest office
2018 50.30% 49.70%
2016 60.20% 59.30%

Then there's voter suppression - making people ineligible to vote through various means such as purging voter registration rolls for minor name variations (presence of a middle initial v no middle initial for example, even when all other information matches). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florida_Central_Voter_File

And gerrymandering ensures that not all votes are meaningful.

So any system that improves voter participation can only strengthen the representativeness of the democracy.

If vote by mail increases legitimate participation more than it increases fraud, it's overall helpful. But I guarantee nobody has figures on the good that vote by mail might do. And that's because the only people involved are those that have an agenda against it, and they're not going to look into its benefits at all.

As for so-called vote by mail fraud, no one's shown it's a SIGNIFICANT factor in altering outcomes, or disenfranchising voters, even in states that conduct 100% of their elections by mail. (Hawaii, Oregon, Colorado, Utah and Washington). If there was such data, the topic would no longer be a controversy.

Of very minimal nothings.

Did you actually look into how MANY votes might have been changed? I bet not!

AT MOST, in N Carolina, it might (possibly) have been 100, in the one district where numbers (that I had to look up myself) were published.

The "4 women accused" in Tarrant County, TX, that supposedly may have been responsible for fraudulent 20,000!!! votes were charged (not convicted, that I could find) of 1 or 2 counts each. A total of 6 votes between the 4 of them.

In Paterson, there were violations of procedure, but no one has claimed any votes at all were changed.

Apparently you think that flimsy list is good enough reason to not have anyone vote by mail at all. And you STILL haven't compared it to the good vote by mail might do for democracy to have increased voter turnout.

Your JACKshit agenda is so obvious.

Why would anybody think that increased voter turnout was a good thing?

There are already FAR too many idiots voting.

Anybody who has ever voted straight Democrat OR straight Republican should immediately have their voting privileges suspended.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

JACK, I would have said you were just like SECOND - so incredibly partisan your personality was formed around your politics.

But then you turned into the pan-humanity-hating WISHI. And with all the data, info, and links one could possibly want to back up your claims. Not.

One exception for sure though about who you hate is you don't hate yourself. You think you're swell.

I'm sure you think so, JACK, in a perfect illustration of the Dunning-Kruger effect.

Yup. The side of the Dunning-Kruger Syndrome where I constantly get annoyed at other people because they are dumber than me and aren't capable of doing what I'm capable of doing.

Oh...

You didn't know there was another side to the Dunning-Kruger coin?

Consider me shocked.

Read a book, Karen.
