S&G's The Sound of Silence is one of my all time favorite songs.

I'm usually not a fan of remakes... especially when they're covering one of (what I feel) are some of the all time greats, but while my brother was here he showed this one to me and my goosebumps still have goosebumps.

I was never a fan of Disturbed. I never liked the "scream rock" scene. This dude could move mountains with that voice though.

It's hard for me to say that a cover of one of my favorite songs is better than the original, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't like it just as much and it truly didn't do the source material justice.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

I don't know the group "Disturbed" Jack, but that is a good rendition of that song. Even though it's never been one of my favourites.

Yeah. I thought it was chilling. This is just another great example of how much talent those scream band singers actually have, even if I don't care at all for the genre.

I could only name one song from Disturbed, but I'm sure I've heard others. It was called "Down With The Sickness", and probably from the late 90's or very early 2000's. I hate that song. :)

I've been a big fan of old Simon and Garfunkel since high school. My sophomore year English teacher gave us lyric sheets for 3 or 4 of their songs and we listened to them in class and just discussed them and broke down their meanings. It was one of the few lessons from high school that I remember to this day and I still remember it fondly. I had a Columbia House membership at the time and I ordered their greatest hits when I got home and must have listened to that start to finish a few hundred times before I moved on to digital media.

Here's another great version of that song. A live performance on Conan. It's really cool to see him just sitting on a stool and belting out those lines while surrounded by an orchestra.

Never much on Simon and Garfunkel but I do have a Simon song on tape called "Kodachrome." He was solo then.

Kodachrome is my jam. :)

And though my lack of education never hurt me none
I can read the writing on the wall"
