Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

Shanke ?

I'm sure the weather and geologic activity go hand in hand.

Metro D.C. had 6 to 12 inches of snow Sunday night. 30 inches so far this year at National Airport, and more in the western suburbs.

Yeah Geezer, but did you have an earthquake??

BTW- could you please send us some of that snow? The USA is experiencing extreme weather*, split approx down the middle. A little averaging would be good.

*Do you recall that study you posted about how "extreme weather events" are NOT happening more frequently, and I made a detailed description of what's been happening to the jet stream recently (split, big loops) and how we would be seeing more extreme, prolonged events in the future? I wonder if this means that you'll have an exceptionally hot, dry summer.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

It did used to be called "earthquake weather"-- there was an anecdotal relationship between heat and 'quakes-- but I don't really think it was hot enough to soften the rocks. My theory: it was Saint Patrick's day, a couple of early morning drunks fell down.

S. Carolina had a quake ( felt all the way to Atlanta ) just a couple of days after we had our 2nd snow fall of the winter. Guess that cancels out 'shake and bake', huh? More like Shake and Brrr!

Did Gutfeld just say that ? Because if you're watching The Five, I'd say he's kidding.

Maybe.

In 2011. Caused damage to the Washington Monument and the National Cathedral, among other things.

Tsk, tsk. Shake AND bake. Were you baking at the time too? THAT would count. Otherwise not!

Actually, KIKI was talking about "Shanke and Bake", so unless thou hast stabbed someone in Ye Olde Gaol while using the oven...
