Rand Paul: Drones Could Be Targeted At Americans Eating Dinner At Home
http://www.infowars.com/rand-paul-drones-could-be-targeted-at-american
s-eating-dinner-at-home
/

It’s now clear: Obama intends to use drone strikes to kill American journalists and political enemies

President Obama plans to use military drones in the skies over the United States to assassinate journalists, patriots and critics of his administration. That’s the inescapable conclusion from the emerging pattern of evidence now publicly available — keep reading for details.

Front and center in this pattern of evidence is the 16-page memo that was just released by Obama’s lawyers in the Department of Justice. This memo puts forth a “legal justification” for the President to order the drone assassination of any American citizen he names — anytime, anywhere, for any reason. This new power claimed by the President has no basis in federal law or the Constitution. It is an invented power of absolute tyranny that puts the power to decide who lives and who dies in the hands of one man. This document essentially legalizes the President acting as a serial murderer.

It is claimed that the purpose of this new power to simply name any American the President doesn’t like and immediately have them struck by a Hellfire missile launched from a drone is designed to “protect America.” Yet the 16-page memo that claims to justify all this was intentionally written to include Americans on U.S. soil as potential targets.

I guess I can understand Rand Paul feeling a 13-hour workday is just too much work to save USA from being wiped out by Obama's Predator drone army.

I wish Rand Paul hadn't brought up the imagery of shooting a missile at Jane Fonda. It's a topic that has conflicted me for decades. Back in those days ('69 - '72) everybody of my generation believed she was right. It wasn't until I got older and more conservative that I started to think of her as a traitor. But then I'd see her in one of her early films where she is so smoking hot and irresistable, and any ill feelings towards her would disappear. She apologized to the nation for her actions back then, and that took courage. I don't think about her politics any more, just her legacy of great movies like....

1981 On Golden Pond

1980 Nine to Five

1979 The Electric Horseman

1979 The China Syndrome

1978 Coming Home

1977 Julia

1977 Fun with Dick and Jane

1973 Steelyard Blues

1971 Klute

1969 They Shoot Horses, Don't They?

1968 Barbarella

1967 Barefoot in the Park

1967 Hurry Sundown

1966 Any Wednesday

1965 Cat Ballou

1963 Sunday in New York

1962 Period of Adjustment

1962 The Chapman Report

1962 Walk on the Wild Side (she played Kitty Twist, my favorite of all her roles)

Did she apologize ? Or did she just offer one of those non-apology apologies, where she says some thing like " I'm sorry if I offended anyone " , but doesn't actually SAY she was sorry for what she did.

I only learned what she had done when I got older, and when I found out how she was used, and paraded on the very AAA gun which shot at ( down ? ) our pilots... no. Nothing she could say or do would make amends. I think, will always think, she should have been tried for treason.

Jane was wrong to think Communism was good, and right to think US wars are bad.

But Communism was founded by, and has always been run by, jewish banksters, to overthrow USA and the Western world.

Jane did say her ex-husband Ted "Cannibal" Turner is insane (manic depressive wants to kill 95% of people on the planet).

Jane's brother is as cool as it gets today.

Well, I’m not going to say the words ‘Barack Obama,’ but … we are heading for a major conflict between the haves and the have nots. I came here many years ago with a biker movie and we stopped a war. Now, it’s about starting the world. I sent an email to President Obama saying, ‘You are a fucking traitor,’ using those words… ‘You’re a traitor, you allowed foreign boots on our soil telling our military — in this case the coastguard – what they can and could not do, and telling us, the citizens of the United States, what we could or could not do’.”

I really don't know the exact wording of her apology, and I honestly don't care. For me she's an icon from my youth and that's just the way it is. If you had lived thru it as I did you'd understand. I mean did you watch any of that 1962 Password clip? It's priceless! She's talking about her 3 1962 movies, all of which I love; and James Mason is talking about Lolita. He looks like he was still in full perv mode! She's so beautiful and vivacious, like almost nothing anyone's seen since.

And you've just demonstrated the power of the celebrity endorsement tactic in advertising. You're allowing your positive feelings for Jane , as you remember from your youth, to over write and ignore her very real world views and actions. It's been used for ages, and we see it all the time today. From pushing products, political causes or endorsing candidates.

I didn't demonstrate anything of the sort. Jane Fonda wasn't some bimbo hawking a credit card on tv. She was an intelligent voice of a generation that dared to speak against the vulgar absurdity of that war. That war had no cause, no goal, and no purpose. She's 76 now, and she deserves better than to be used as a political prop for Rand Paul.

You're telling me that it was an 'intelligent voice' that chose to speak out against the Vietnam war via hopping on that AAA gun ?

I vehemently disagree that she "deserves better ". There are plenty of ways you can speak out against war w/ out giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

And yes, she was a bimbo hawking NVA propaganda, aimed directly @ the citizens of the U.S.

CIA Joo Brennan takes oath on draft Constitution—without Bill of Rights

Quote:

Oh, dear. This is probably not the symbolism the White House wanted.

Hours after CIA Director John Brennan took the oath of office—behind closed doors, far away from the press, perhaps befitting his status as America's top spy—the White House took pains to emphasize the symbolism of the ceremony.

“There's one piece of this that I wanted to note for you,” spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters at their daily briefing. “Director Brennan was sworn in with his hand on an original draft of the Constitution that had George Washington's personal handwriting and annotations on it, dating from 1787.”

Earnest said Brennan had asked for a document from the National Archives that would demonstrate the U.S. is a nation of laws.

"Director Brennan told the president that he made the request to the archives because he wanted to reaffirm his commitment to the rule of law as he took the oath of office as director of the CIA,” Earnest said.

The Constitution itself went into effect in 1789. But troublemaking blogger Marcy Wheeler points out that what was missing from the Constitution in 1787 is also quite symbolic: The Bill of Rights, which did not officially go into effect until December 1791 after ratification by states. (Caution: Marcy's post has some strong language.)

That means: No freedom of speech and of the press, no right to bear arms, no Fourth Amendment ban on “unreasonable searches and seizures,” and no right to a jury trial.

How ... symbolic?
