So you wanna play Gaffe Tit-for-Tat?

Wow. I'll put up a flat statement about someone ENDORSING A PRESIDENT becauuse of his race (by someone as intelligent as Powell) against mistaking "billion" for "zillion" in the heat of the moment any old day.
Quote:

Later, Sununu released a statement saying "Colin Powell is a friend and I respect the endorsement decision he made and I do not doubt that it was based on anything but his support of the President's policies."

Quote:

Rep. Pete Sessions of Texas, who chairs the National Republican Congressional Committee, also weighed in on Sununu's comments on "Starting Point." Asked if he thought Powell voted for Obama because of race, Sessions sad, "no, I think you would have to ask Colin Powell."

"You could say that I endorse Mitt Romney, but that's not just because I'm a white man," Sessions continued. "We all have things which we're for, which we support. Colin Powell believes the president is heading down the right path. I simply disagree on this issue with Colin Powell."

Now THERE's a thinking Republican...and a diplomatic one.

Go for it.

Sununu, aka Sue-knew-gnu is a huge tool, possibly a postholer. Always has been, always will be. Methinks Romney may have to accept his resignation very suun. Methinks my frequent statements about Republicans being hopelessly self-destructive have more than been realized.

Maybe you won't find this as surprising as I first thought you would, Jong, but I offer you my sincere condolences. I fear your fears are well founded, and I fear it might get even worse. And it is the last thing on earth I want to see, as well. There are good ideas on your side, no one side should be in power, and counter-balance is ALWAYS preferable to monopoly. I, too, would wish for at least two viable, thriving parties in my government, and when things are more...uh, "sane"...there are things I upon which AGREE with Republicans/conservatives. It's sad to see this come to pass. All I cling to is that this is just a moment in time, and most actual DAMAGE they've done can be undone, hopefully.

But my sympathies will evaporate instantly if these guys actually manage to get in POWER! They will also lessen if they DON'T get power and continue to behave the way they have for three-plus years. We need a working government, accent on WORKING.

I would say "look to your party", except I know that you, and I HAVE to believe the majority of those like you, are powerless at present. May that pass. Quickly. And may sanity return.

Tit for tat got us where we are today. If we want to be grownups, we need to resist the ugliness. If we each did, this would be a better reflection on Firefly and a more welcome place. I will try.

So, because the Left leaning, Obama loving media doesn't like what Sununu says, it's " racist " ?

To suggest that Colin Powell may have made his decision to endorse Obama because he's of the same race is not racist, but it is incredibly stupid. It reminds me of the conversation in Pulp Fiction when Vincent and Jules were talking about how Marcellus Wallace had Antoine 'Tony' Rocky Horror thrown off a balcony for giving Mrs. Wallace a foot massage. Vincent's point was that Antoine should have known better, and should have known what the consequences could be.

Yup, as far as I'm concerned, not necessarily racist, but sure just plain dumb! Sounds like, from what you said Jong, he's not all that bright anyway...

I don't think he has the same excuse of being exhausted from the campaign...too bad, would be a good excuse. Or something. ;o)

So is Sununu only voting for Romney because he's white?

Or, as has been suggested by some, if Powell is only voting for Obama because he's the same color, is Sununu only voting for Romney because he's an asshole?

Rappy's response? "You're lying, gullible ( believing in some BS you heard on msnbc ) or hard of hearing."

Post holer... ayep, that one oughta stick, it sure deserves to.
You should see the rest of the nutburgers on Romneys unofficial council - cofer black, john bolton, hayden, lehman ???

Shit, why not just hire limbaugh and coulter while he's at it ?
Or just flat admit he's gonna start a neoconservative crusade which'll end in nuclear armageddon up front.

PROTip: Convincing the REST OF THE PLANET that their only hope of survival is to NUKE YOU FIRST, is a bad, bad idea.

Looks like John was just confirming what Colin had already said himself.
