I must have heard this song years ago, but it never registered....

What a great song.

Maybe it takes working at "the Mart" on nights and only recognizing the good songs along a sea of songs that make you want to stick your head in an oven.

Maybe I'd heard this song for the first time last night, although i doubt it since it was made in 1995. Don't know what it was about the song but time flew while it was on. In my mind a half hour of menial work flew by but it was probably only 3 or 4 minutes.

After work I couldn't remember what the song was called or any of the words, but just like any great song or a fading dream it came back to me and I found it on youtube.

In the "UP's" and obvious downs I've posted about recently, it's nice to have something that makes me feel so good to post about.

What a perfect song. The harmony is beautiful, and it's old enough to not be attached to a "kid group" and be dismissed as anything less than the greatness than it is.

This song reminded me of every romantic moment I spent with the girls I'd spent my high school and college with when I heard it.

I'd put it on my mp3 player, but that would just kill it. Soon I'd get bored of it. I hope to only hear this song about once every 2-5 years and look back on those days as fondly as I do now when I hear it.

Funny.... I thought it was a new song when I heard it the other night. I must have heard it more than 20 times back in the day and subconsciously associated it with the awesome days of my late teens and early 20's.

America loves a winner!

Random songs like that are fun to 'rediscover'. Well, maybe not THAT song... but to each their own. Which is why it can be so special, for the individual. Not too long ago, I heard a song which I swear had escaped my attention. I thought it was sorta kinda new, but was actually released in the early 90's... ( forget now who it was ). But it's weird, as I use to listen to a good deal more music on the airwaves back then, that I have no recollection of hearing this 'hit' song, as it were. I guess one hit wonders don't always get played coast to coast w/ the same amount of air-play.

Sometimes you own the libs. Sometimes, the libs own you.

You're a brave man to post that Six, but it's actually pretty sweet, sincere and uplifting.

Here's one I've been listening to lately (it's British though):

It's not personal. It's just war.
