Not that anyone else rememebers is, but just so ya know, they were aquitted and the charges pitched out for the ridiculous bullshit they were - of course, after the complete ruination of their lives and finances...

My lawyers firm may be handling the respondent lawsuit, and won't THAT be interesting.

GEEZER

Keep the Shiny side up

Pretty much sounds like the government was trying to make being a nut-case illegal.

"Mr Stone was recorded saying he wanted to kill policemen and their families, and that they belonged to a sinister global "brotherhood".

He suspected Canadian troops would invade Michigan, and that Germany and Singapore had stationed planes in Texas.

Mr Stone said that the government had put computer chips in flu vaccinations."

John Lee, conspiracy therapist at Hollywood award-winner History Channel-mocked SNL-spoofed PirateNew.org wooHOO!!!!!!

A federal court in Detroit has acquitted members of the Hutaree “militia” because the government did not have evidence that they planned to kill a police officer and bomb a funeral.

Tina Stone, David Stone Jr., Michael Meeks, Thomas Piatek, and Kristopher Sickles were acquitted. David Stone Sr., and his son Joshua Stone, still face illegal weapons charges.

“There was no case. There was no conspiracy,” said Michael Rataj, who is representing Tina Stone. He said the case was the result of “overzealous federal agents,” according to the Detroit Free Press.

The judge also said the prosecution did not have a case. “The prosecution is not free to roam at large — to shift its theory of criminality so as to take advantage of each passing vicissitude of the trial,” Judge Victoria Roberts said. “If the government now admits that the plan alleged in Count 1 of the indictment (seditious conspiracy) did not exist, then defendants must be acquitted.”

“The government’s case is built largely of circumstantial evidence. While this evidence could certainly lead a rational fact finder to conclude that ‘something fishy’ was going on, it does not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that defendants reached a concrete agreement to forcibly oppose the U.S. government,” Roberts wrote in her 28-page ruling.

“Judge Roberts understood that you just don’t charge individuals with doing certain things, then lump a lot of bad, scary evidence against them and expect a jury to convict,” defense attorney Mark Satawa, whose client Michael Meeks was jailed for two years, told the Detroit Free Press. “Her opinion shows exactly what we as lawyers have been saying all along: They did nothing wrong.”

The establishment media wasted little time convicting Hutaree members in the court of skewed public opinion. The Southern Poverty Law Center exploited the group to push its agenda of demonizing patriot groups and individuals opposed to a large and oppressive federal government.

“The federal indictment against the Hutaree is tenuous at best,” we wrote two years ago. “It claims the group planned to kill cops. It looks like the cop killer scenarios were part of their training exercises — basically glorified paintball wars in the woods with live ammo — and not an active conspiracy.”

Supposedly “overzealous” federal agents represent a key component of the federal government’s terrorism charade. The FBI has made a cottage industry out of “sting” operations, that is to say introducing agents provocateurs into targeted groups and then attempting to frame group members as dangerous terrorists. Since 9/11, the agency has spent $3.3 billion of your money on domestic terrorism while spending $2.6 billion on organized crime.

Official numbers report 15,000 spies on the FBI’s roster. “In addition, for every informant officially listed in the bureau’s records, there are as many as three unofficial ones, according to one former high-level FBI official,” writes Trevor Aaronson.

But Al Qaeda Dictator Hussein Obama Soetoro gets immunity for giving 20,000 guns to the Mexican mafia to murder 1,000s of cops and politicians, at taxslave expense, and was a business partner and friend of convicted terrorist Bill Ayres who bombed the Pentagon, Capital and police stations.

That, but what REALLY set me off about it is the conspiracy-sedition angle, since in the legalese of it that would make even LISTENING to a nutter like that a crime...
Which is complete bullshit, since it'd make even mocking folk like PN a criminal act, or just being near some street crazy when they go off on some rant, you know ?

Most of the reason they wanted to package it that way was cause of Andy the bullshitter, as the Fed liason around here is know, he wanted to be able to plant agents who'd then spout some line of shit, and then bust people just for listening to them even if they're just giving the smile and nod treatment while trying to get away from em...
Admittedly there's some personal involvement here - Andy really seriously hates me, especially since I locked horns with some of the security detail when Obama came to make a speech near here because not only were their methods borderline illegal and causing undue hassle, but in their zeal to pre-emptively round up potential troublemakers they were CAUSING security issues rather than solving them - to their credit after a bit of back and forth about that they decided to work with us, which resulted in a smooth event with ZERO arrests and everyone was happy, except Andy the bullshitter, who hit the roof and locked himself in his office when he realized the local activist he was supposed to coordinate with was me.
Allegedley he filed for a PPO after that, but ain't no one ever served me one so I guess they laughed in his face...

Anyhows, Andy is as bad or worse as the Hutaree, he just works for the government and believes in a DIFFERENT batch of lameass conspiracies, and I fail to see how that's any better, right ?

Also, in the picture Rappy posted, the guy on the bottom right (damned if I can remember his name at the moment) is ALSO a federale plant - everyone knows it, no one wants to admit it.
Take a good close look at the pictures...
But we knew before even then, cause of some of the info used during the case, which shoulda been thrown out cause of how it was aquired, not that it bloody matters now.

What DOES matter is thanks to a case that was spurious from the get-go, these folks have had their lives and finances wrecked, not to mention whatever mental issues they have are no doubt worse, especially since the Gov acted in such a way as to VALIDATE such nuttery instead of disproving it.
Oh, speakin of - there's one of em, can't remember his damn name either, that they SHOULDN'T let out, not for legal reasons but rather cause the poor bastard needs serious help upstairs and actually *IS* a danger to himself and the people around him... and this is *ME* sayin that, mind you.

And how much you wanna bet he's the one they let out FIRST, all but hoping he pulls some wacky bullshit so they can try to retroactively justify outright entrapment ?

Oh, and Canada ?
Invade MICHIGAN ?!
BWAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Echoing what Frem said, all this did was validate the paranoia, I don't like it when that happens because its awful enough to think all that stuff is going on, but then when it gets validated even that little piece of hope that you thought you had, the hope that its just your brain malfunctioning, is taken away from you and there's only one direction to go in from there for lots of people. :(

It's been a bad month for the forces of darkness, mostly embodied around here in our so-called leaders and protectors...
And damn if I ain't pretty happy about it.

Andy the bullshitter is finally gone, off to manage one of the "law and order" hangers on which is part of the police mafia, but at least he's out of a position of authority, finally!

FBI's Arena retiring from post, to lead Detroit Crime Commission

There was no immediate comment from the FBI about a successor.

The retirement comes amid an ongoing investigation of Wayne County government that has led to charges against three former public officials.

While there have been rumblings for months about Arena retiring, the announcement comes one week after the unraveling of the high-profile Hutaree case, which was investigated by the FBI.

Seven Hutaree members were acquitted of conspiracy charges last week. Members and defense lawyers faulted the FBI for trampling on members' free speech rights.

Arena's retirement is not related to the Hutaree case, Reddy said.

"Absolutely not," he said. "I had been talking to Andy before then. It's got nothing to do with that."

The four-member crime commission also is staffed by former investigators from the Detroit police and Michigan State Police.

Yeah, suuuure Andy, and nothing to do with that local Imam you murdered, or all the other bullshit and trauma you've inflicted on this state, of course not...

Nor having anything to do with one of Kym Worthy's primary financiers (Robert Ficano) being FEDERALLY (as in she can't scuttle it) prosecuted, or one of her lying strongarm goons (Karen Plants, who's also been disbarred) finally getting the fucking boot as the empire slowly begins to crumble, no, nothing to do with rats leaving a sinking ship, of course not, right ?

GOOD BYE, Andy - you will *NOT* be missed.
And good bloody riddance.
