emand-customer-lists-from-mormon-food-storage-facility_12092011

First the NDAA allowing military detention of accused American terrorists, I mean, Americans accused of terrorism. Then the definition of suspicious activity to include food storage. And now feds nosing around for lists of people who store food.

So what would it take for Americans to see what's going on?

It's creepy at best.

America loves a winner!

If all they're doing is just storing food, then they have nothing to worry about, right ?

Right ?

I have independent confirmation of this from several trustworthy sources, it's not bullshit, and genuinely chilling for all that.

Which comes around to my pointed question at such times - WHY do they want to know ?

The Last Roundup
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article19871.htm

I know a little more than I really ought to about this sorta thing, having inadvertently aided and abetted some small part of it at one time - when it's officially documented public policy, set down and signed off, it's no fucking "theory" any more, and some of us have been watching the step-by-step preparations to put it into action, from having Haliburton/KBR build those camps, to deploying active duty military units here with stomping us as their mission, the test-run of such policies during Katrina, and the compiling of such lists - all of this is the equivalent of someone pointing a weapon at you and loudly snapping the safety off, there's NO doubt about the potential intentions.

That said, they've been thirty some years in the planning of this shit, if not longer, but they've not been the only ones, don't you know.

Again, I repeat - when it's officially documented public policy, signed and codified, it's NOT fucking theory, it's potentially the law of the land....
Just waiting for the right excuse.

Exactly. It is clear as day to me.

How come you see it, I see it, but Rap doesn't?

There are so many people who still say, "Aww shucks, the gubmint's just cocking the gun to get ready to defend me."

AURaptor, has government ever been content to not have people completely dependent on them?

Storing food is not itself a crime, so the real question here is why it's a suspicious activity in the first place.

Similarly, one must ask why certain individuals pushing food storage services in their advertising were doing so... Perhaps to help generate such a list?

We are betrayed on every level imagineable, you most of all.

I was going to going to go with scary.

Sounds like they want to put all the survivalists on the terrorist watch list. Of course, they all have solar panels and gardens, they're not good oil-consuming credit-card borrowing citizens, so we need them to normalize them.

I was kind'a suspicious when the reports noted "Federal agents", but failed to specify what agency. You'd think that'd be a pretty important piece of information.

My reply was meant tongue in cheek, though don't feel bad if ya missed it.

From the arguing point, so often repeated in connection to the war on drugs.... If you're not doing anything wrong, what do you have to hide?

That seemingly innocent and clearly misleading question could be asked about storing food as well. With drugs ( speaking of the recreational sort) , the implication is clear. Drugs are bad, and are illegal, so only those who have anything to do with drugs are bad people and/or engaged in illegal activity, have anything to fear from the govt looking into their private lives. Right ?

But hey, if it's on the internet, it has to be true, right ? Just like the world was gonna end, on Y2K.

Thanks for finding this video. Very interesting turn.

Oathkeepers has now pulled this story. The person who told them this story is now denying ever having said anything.

So maybe it is as this blogger says, Oathkeepers got hornswoggled.

story-about.html

ETA: Another explanation is, it really did happen, but people were threatened enough that they decided to recant and leave Oathkeepers hanging out to dry.

So question. Mormon canneries aside, what do you do if you are on this database?

If there is a list of 8 million "unfriendlies" to be rounded up, odds favor that all of us are on it.

I don't see how you could, when you misquoted me.

Drugs, not food.

And you can go back and read the rest of what I DID say, but it all boils down to this - the govt is here to save us from ourselves. Even if we don't need saving.

Not sure. Mikey probably reported Rap for agreeing with him at some point.

Haha.

First, Mike is a sweetheart and would never report anyone, not even Rap.

Two, I don't think "Jessica Alba is hot" is the kind of radical ideology that qualifies someone for the Database.

Not misquoted, AURaptor, inserted food in place of drugs in the example given to show how the two aren't really comparable and representing that I think that it was a bad analogy.

They're comparable in the sense the the govt is trying to tell you how to run your life. And that's the greater point I was aiming for here.

And that's all I'll say about that...

Elsewise - yes, that database exists, and yes, it's based on PROMIS, cause once upon a time there was this nihilistic young punk who hated everyone and hung out with the crypto guys of the 902nd MI, who couldn't seem to get this shit to work on their systems...

And enough about that, too.
