Prove it.

Prove I said the Iraq War would only cost us 17 billion $, or anything near that amount.

Prove I said we should 'give' our $ to the rich. ( I'll save you time right there, I never said anything like that, ever )

Per usual, you're full of claims, but come up empty on delivering the goods.

Yes more debt is harder to pay off. What does that have to do with your argument that the stimulus has taken money out of peoples pockets? You even admitted that taxes have not been raised yet. So most people had just as much money to spend as before the stimulus. The difference is that people who where helped by the stimulus also had money to spend. So try again.

No, things actually got worse. Few factors have been improving. What financial news do YOU listen to , just curious.

NPR Planet Money, NPR Market Place. What are you listen to? Things maybe slow, but we are recovering.

Quote:

Well, the money ISN'T moving. That's the problem. Because of the uncertainty of how much the cost of business will be in the near future, the economy is at a near stand still. ObamaCare, pending high interest rates, threats of higher taxes... all are combining to grind the " recovery " to a halt.

All BS. The economy has been growing, slowly but growing. Health Care reform is not hard to understand if you read it. Interest rates are at lows, so the only place to go is up meaning now is the time to get loans, there is always a threat of higher taxes, if not from the federal government but from state and local government. Not to mention that any uncertainty has to be blamed on both parties. If they agreed one way or another you would not have uncertainty.

Quote:

Different cultures , different values, all play a part in how an economy works. Not to mention the resources a nation has, the types of jobs and manufacturing , education... all sorts of factors go into driving an economy. It isn't just the number of head in a herd, as it were.

What works in 1 country won't necessarily work in another.

Yes all of those play a factor, now explain how those factors would prevent the Nordic Model working in the US. Just as I asked you to do.

If you are so sure of you beliefs let's get down to the brass tax.

"We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false." -- William Casey, Reagan's presidential campaign manager & CIA Director (from first staff meeting in 1981)

"Yet".

That is the operative word for people like Rappy when you point out that taxes have indeed not gone up under Obama. The response is always, "Yet."

It's fear-mongering.

Empirically, things are better now than when Obama took office.

We're also a safer and more secure nation than when Bush was in office. Nearly three years into Obama's presidency, far, FAR fewer Americans have died in domestic terror attacks than died in the first nine months of Bush's presidency. These are verifiable facts.

Yet when you point them out to people like Rappy and point to the undeniable fact that the country HASN'T collapsed, taxes HAVEN'T skyrocketed, the terrorists HAVEN'T invaded us and taken over in an orgy of Sharia law, their only response is, "Yet."

You know what other things haven't happened yet? Trickle-down economics has never worked, yet. Pre-emptive war has never made us safer, yet. The invasion of Iraq has never been shown to be a good idea, yet. No evidence of a widespread and ongoing WMD program in Iraq has ever surfaced, yet. No evidence has ever been presented to support the idea that Dodd and Frank caused the economic collapse of the Bush presidency, yet.

But any day now, right, Rappy?

Right after you prove that Anthony Weiner ever claimed that Breitbart hacked his accounts. I've been asking you to prove that claim for quite some time now, and you've bitched out every time.

So by all means, after you...

Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...

Nick, all good points eloquently made, which will go nowhere. Guaranteed. Same with what Mike wrote.

And I GUARANTEE Raptor and his buddies will dismiss you immediately since you listen to NPR. According to them, NPR is vastly leftist, and has been discredited anyway. See, they only WATCH FauxNews, and everything they hear/see there is absolutely valid. To them. But NPR, MSNBC, CNN, or ANY of the rest of the media is ALWAYS driven by the vast left-wing conspiracy, so anything they say doesn't count.

And remember, it worked in 1942, brought us out of the double dip of '36-'37.

Not a bad idea, so long as we start with every politician and business mogul who supported this nonsense, and then nationalise the required industry in the name of "national defense"...
