America loves a winner!

And Ireland is questionable.

If Spain goes... say goodnight, Gracie.

That is all.

"We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false." -- William Casey, Reagan's presidential campaign manager & CIA Director (from first staff meeting in 1981)

What happens when the U.S. defaults?

We're actually in more debt per capita than Greece.

Different situation. Greece doesn't have its own currency. The default harms the Euro. Rap is probably right: Three in a row would kill it.

That's what a ship is, you know - it's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails, that's what a ship needs.

Last I heard, Greece had stabilized-- they adopted austerity measures, there was rioting in the streets, they were gonna be bailed out. Something changed since then? And what should we do about it?
Stand on the sidelines and cheer? Give 'em more dollars?

This was my understanding as well. Obviously deutschebank and the frankfort crowd that own the euro have a vested interest in their hundred trillion dollar currency not evaporating into thin air, which is what massive debt defaults will do to it, so they will give billions to Greece in bailouts even if they're dead certain that such favors will never be repaid.

That's what a ship is, you know - it's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails, that's what a ship needs.
