Does Congresswoman Bachmann really think the public will fall for her sleight of hand and believe she has Nobel Laureate scientists who support these unscientific theories?

Congresswoman Bachmann, I see your “hundreds” of scientists, and raise you millions of scientists.

For the next hand, I raise you 43 Nobel Laureate scientists. That’s right: 43 Nobel Laureate scientists have endorsed our effort to repeal Louisiana’s creationism law.

Major science organizations, including the American Association for the Advancement of Science, which represents over 10 million scientists, have publicly endorsed the repeal.

Congresswoman Bachmann, you claim that Nobel Laureates support creationism. Show me your hand. If you want to be taken seriously by voters while you run for President, back up your claims with facts. Can you match 43 Nobel Laureates, or do you fold?

This comes on the heels of Michele Bachmann refusing to debate a 16 year-old high school student on the issues of the United States Constitution and American history. She was challenged to the debate after making ludicrous claims, such as that the "Founding Fathers worked tirelessly to end slavery" (despite that "tireless" work not occurring until four-score and seven years later

) and that the "shots heard 'round the world" were fired at Lexington and Concord... NEW HAMPSHIRE!

Now, he believes in God, and he also believes evolution is a fact, but he rejects intelligent design. I know more scientists in this category (God + evolution, but not ID) than scientists that support ID.

I can't think of any Nobel Laureates who vocally support ID.

Rappy will write it off as just a "tiny gaff" [sic], of course, just like he did with Herman Cain's woeful ignorance of the Constitution.

These tea-bagging morons just aren't smart people, in any sense of the word, are they? Palin has diarrhea of the mouth, and can't stop herself from talking, even when she has no goddamned idea what the hell she's saying; she just has to keep the words coming out, hoping that it will all come together into something resembling coherent speech by the time she wraps it up. It hasn't happened yet.

Maybe she, Bachmann, and Cain can run on a "Dumb, Dumber, and Dumberer" ticket together. "Race to the Bottom" is their slogan.

I agree. Michelle Bachmann is someone NOBODY should take seriously or expect any sense out of, and reflects nobody. The unfortunate part is there seem to be so MANY ignorant (I think that's more accurate than "stupid") blathering mouths on the right that it's hard NOT to paint with one brush. Bachman, Palin, Gingrich, Coulter, it goes on and on:

When you have so many people saying things like these, and far more (should we go into O’Reilly?? BECK?!!!), it tends to tar the entire party/ideology with something unpleasant smelling. That’s just the way it is.

The Palin “gaffe” is bad enough (dangit, Rose, I didn’t get here fast enough, I wanted to put that one up as its own thread!), but when you watch her, you can see her searching for what to say, as we’ve seen her do so many times before. Mike nailed it, we all know the look:

Rather than admit she doesn’t know, she’ll say whatever she can think of...and the thing is NOBODY WILL CALL HER ON IT!
