This story still really sucks for the Demorats, talk has gone from WILL the Republicans win the House to, YES they'll win the House but by how many seats? I think the pollsters and crystal ball gazers are all over the map, who ever is closest in in the number of seats won will have bragging rights, this is why we've heard Republican gains from 40 to 70 seats. When the Republicans win the House the Demorats will say, well they didn't win as many seats as was predicted! I promise you that is what their whores in the press (everyone MSNBC) will say, if there is a Rebuplican landslide I WILL LAUGH AT YOUR PAIN!

Uh huh...

Yanno, I distinctly remember hearing those words sometime back in 2008, coming from you, predicting a McCain landslide - how'd that work out for ya ?

Again, remember what I told you about when and how elections are really decided.

My guess is, once again I'll be feasting on YOUR tears as you run like a bitch and go hide under a rock for a coupla months, again.

08 must have been daze for ya, I never said McCain would win in a landslide, as a matter of fact in knew that jug eared douche would win. Look at the bright side, soon you'll have some Republicans IN OFFICE to trash, maybe the Palin family will get a break?

It must suck that lib pundits have only conservitive pundits to trash, we've got;

Barry and his spoilled wife

Dimwit Biden and his junkie daughter

"Botox" addict Pelosi

Chucky Rangle

Maxine (ugly) Waters

Harry (soon to be unemployed) Reid

Barney (bend over) Frank

Everyone at MSNBC & CNN

I wonder who your next target will be? Will you trash their family too? If you're not sure watch MSNBC, they'll give you your marching orders.

Just for perspective, the latest Gallp poll shows "generic" candidates for the midterms equal:
Quote:

Forget about that 10 point Republican advantage: Gallup's latest poll showing the generic ballot preferences of registered voters finds a generic Republican tied with a generic Democrat at 46 percent.

Last week, Gallup showed Republicans leading 51 percent to 41 percent, fueling speculation about a coming GOP wave in the midterm elections.

Polls bounce around; it depends on questions asked, where/when/who asked, and other things. But as you can see, when it comes to "generic" candidates, it's gone up and down the whole time:

Polls don't mean shit, in many ways, so it's really silly to predict any kind of landslide until it's HERE. We just have to wait and see, but I think the hyperbole of a Republican "landslide" is pretty silly. For one thing; how about all those places with Tea Party and other third-party candidated? They may go Dem. And those places with extremist candidates? It's one thing to win a primary, another to win a general, and there are signs Republicans in Nevada are having some doubts:
Quote:

A new poll released Friday by the Las Vegas Review Journal shows Harry Reid and Sharron Angle tied for the lead in the Nevada Senate race, but the poll shows signs of extremely tepid support for Angle among her own supporters.

As noted by the Review-Journal's Laura Myers, two thirds of Angle's backers wished another nominee had been selected:
Quote:

Some 68 percent of those surveyed said they would have preferred if a candidate other than Angle had won the GOP primary. Among them were 71 percent of Republicans and 71 percent of nonpartisans. Among Angle voters, 66 percent said they would have preferred another GOP nominee.

Nevada should have been a roll-over for Republicans, given the dislike of Harry Reid; currently Reid is ahead by one point.

And no, I'm not desperate (as I'm sure is coming); I'm being realistic. I know Dems will lose seats, but whether they lose House or Senate is still up in the air and we'll just have to wait and see. Something about "counting chickens" comes to mind.

And if President Obama appoints Elizabeth Warren to head u the consumer protection watchdog agency, it's very likely to bring an awful lot of disgruntled progressives out of the woodwork to vote in November. He's strongly hinted at doing just that, and I'd love to see it happen. That lady knows her stuff.

I agree. Essentially it comes down to who can turn out the vote. Currently, Republicans are much more fired up. If we don't get out there and vote, we deserve what we get. We shall see.

Harry Reid's race is a "dead heat"? He's their leader and his race is a "dead heat"? He should be in a SAFE seat but it's a "dead heat"? OH I WILL LAUGH AT YOUR PAIN!! Even if the Republican DON'T take the senate, watching Harry (zzzzz) Reid lose will give me a boner, a big boner, a great big boner, a great big huge boner!

Yup, in a hugely conservative right-wing red state, where Sue "Take a chicken to your doctor" Lowden had a 20-point lead (and lost!), Harry Reid is now seen as being at least as good as the GOP alternative.

Poor little fool; like I said, it should have been a ROLLOVER for Republicans--Harry Reid is despised by them, he personifies every evil they can think of (except those attributed to Nancy Pelosi), yet it's a dead heat? What does that say? That's the point.

Even worse:
Quote:

The GOP establishment's support for Nevada Senate candidate Sharron Angle has begun to dwindle since the controversial Tea Party-backed candidate began campaigning on an unconventional set of values and policies. Perhaps more damaging than Angle's lack of support from many within the Nevada GOP has been the fact that many of the state's most influential Republicans have endorsed her opponent, Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

Given how much Republicans hate Reid, what does THIS say too? What does it say that there IS a group called "Republicans for Reid"??
