Not by a doctor but by the G.O.P. I'm sure they won't use any lubricant. Since MSNBC, CNN, NYT, USA Today and the White House Press Corps won't look into Barrys biz because they're madly in love with him, or don't want to be called racist. This is why FOX News, Talk radio and the Drudge Report are doing so well, and the others ratings an circulations suck.

Hee, hee, hee; you guys are great today. Of COURSE the Repubs intend to create a furor and stop government (if they can) by demanding investigations...it's their modus operandi.

They did it with Clinton...to little avail...and they had no interest in investigating the MANY and OBVIOUS unconstitutional and illegal actions of Bush. That the Dems realize that's old news and chose to get on with the business of legislating doesn't mean the Repubs will change their tactics, which you have to give them credit for, are as disruptive as they intend them to be.

Hell, they've clearly said that's what they'll do...they'll continue to use any tactic at their disposal to bring Obama down, reasonable or not...what happened to that "Waterloo" by the way?

Are you implying that Clinton had no reasons to be investagated?

Nope. I'm comparing Clinton's behavior to Bush's. If anyone EVER deserved to be investigated, it was Bush, who did things which are ACTUALLY detrimental to our country, our laws and our Constitution...not to mention the Bill of Rights.

Clinton lied to Congress about having sex. If every President who had illicit sex, then lied about it, were investigated, America would be tied up in knotts forever. So Clinton got investigated out the wazoo--and if ANYONE deludes themselves it was for the reason stated, they are living in a fantasy world; it was political.

Where was the right when it came to Bush's incredibly egregious activities? Silent as the grave. Now they want to investigate Obama...who has done nothing illegal or unconstitutional, but they'll drag it out anyway, you know it and I know it.

Something of a dichotomy there...which you won't accept, nor will any of your cohorts, I have no doubt.

Yeah, history will repeat itself.

Republicans will spend billions on pointless inquiries, all while complaining about spending - and none of it will come to anything - making them look like fucking morons again.

Something along the lines of "count your blessings"...if you can find them! Looking in government for 'em is like a needle in a WHEAT FIELD!

Well, blame it on the democratic controled congress for not investagating Bush. However, Clinton deserved to be probed, was , an got off. That Bush was not does not make it wrong for Clinton and Obama to be.

Just can't resist, can 'ya Kane? Virtually every post I put up, I see you reposting it with an ugly remark at the bottom. Sorry you have such a need to dog my posts; not sure what it means, but it's certainly an obsession. At least says something about the power I have over you and how well I seem to trigger you. Name-calling is the last resort of a coward, you know. Not that I care, I just noticed it after someone else remarked on it.

Bush did none of that.

Actually, he lied to a grand jury. It's called perjury.

Since when is giving a woman her rightful day in court deemed " political " ? Oh, when it's a Democrat who is involved. Gotchya. Oddly, the law which got Bubba in trouble was the one which he himself signed. Crassic.

You mean all those activities which were deemed proper and with in the bounds of his Constitutional duties ?

Dunno about ' the Right' wanting this , based on 1 article. Based on the fizzle from the Clinton impeachment ,and because of Barry's protected status of the 1st black President, he basically can commit murder, and the GOP would do nothing.

The way to make Obama and the Left pay will be at the ballot box, and to over turn their horrific, reckless policies.

That'd be enough justice for me.

Whatcha mean “we”?? Hoo, boy, did you leave yourself wide open on THAT one! Bush’s cronies manipulated the law; some of them even went to JAIL for it! The American people had no say in waterboarding, detention, denial of civil rights, Patriot Act, loss of civil rights, or any of the rest of it. If you are SO deluded that you think the things Bush did were “proper and within the bounds of” the Constitution, you’re deliberately blinding yourself to the facts. The COURTS decreed a lot of what he did as unconstitutional, and our country is supposedly determined by law and Constitution. It’s insane to now claim that what he did ws “within the bounds of” his duties.

As to it being “the right” INTENDING to do this, which they have clearly stated repeatedly, here are just a few examples:
Quote:

Minnesota Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann said yesterday that if Republicans will the House in November, "all we should do" is subpoena and investigate the Obama administration.
Quote:

President Barack Obama has stubbornly taken a “look forward, not backwards” philosophy to possible criminal acts during the Bush administration. But Republicans are sending signals that they will not take such an approach if they are able to win back the U.S. House of Representatives in the November elections.
Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) is strongly indicating that he will launch numerous investigations of the Obama administration if he becomes chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. Issa made it clear that aggressive investigations are coming if he replaces Rep. Edolphus Towns (D-NY) as chair of the Oversight Committee.

They’ve made it clear that if they come to power, investigations will follow, and this is a proven tactic of Republicans to distract the voters from the serious issues confronting our country. But they don’t just oppose any investigation of the things Bush did, they make threats about it:
Quote:

Republican senators used a hearing Thursday with Attorney General Eric Holder to discourage an investigation into torture under the Bush administration. Both Lamar Alexander of Tennessee and Richard Shelby of Alabama suggested that they would push hard to expand any probe of the CIA's "rendition" program and other legally and morally questionable tactics to include the Clinton administration, as well as members of Congress who were briefed on interrogation methods.
And for those of us who rely on polls, the American people also wanted investigations:
Quote:

Majorities Favor Some Form Of Investigations Against Bush Administration

A significant plurality favor outright criminal probes, though they are not a majority. Another portion prefer an independent investigation by a special panel:

Possible attempts to use Justice Dept. for political purposes: Criminal investigation, 41%; Investigation by independent panel, 30%; Neither, 25%

Possible use of telephone wiretaps without a warrant: Criminal investigation, 38%; Investigation by independent panel, 25%; Neither, 34%

Possible use of torture in terror interrogations: Criminal investigation, 38%; Investigation by independent panel, 24%; Neither, 34%

As you would expect, majorities of Democrats favor criminal probes, Republicans largely oppose doing anything, and independents correspond pretty closely with the top-line numbers. Gallup leads in their analysis with the criminal-probe response being a minority, but this seems to miss the larger point: A majority clearly favor doing something to investigate the Bush Administration.

So if you want to use polls to justify something, bear in mind that a majority of Americans wanted SOMETHING done to investigate the Bush administration's ILLEGAL and UNCONSTITUTIONAL activities.

I didn't say " we ". WTF are you babbling about ?

And if you're talking about a few bad apples who took things into their own hands... that has nothing to do w/ Bush. Silly attempt of association on your part.

Yeah, and John Conyers yammered on about impeaching Bush and Cheney all day long too.... how'd that pan out ?

Depends on who is taking the poll, and what the selective pool is being asked. Polls of this nature prove nothing.

FREMDFIRMA

Nah, that was like everybody BUT Conyers - it's the reason I hate his fuckin pansy ass, he didn't have the balls to take a stand when it counted, and even sold out his own WIFE, who *did* have the nerve to file it as a local resolution while he was busy hiding under the Judiciary Committee table in order to protect his political career - and for what, at the expense of the PURPOSE OF HIS POSITION ?

Whatever you think of Shrub, Conyers is a gutless pansy and you can't possibly despise the man more than I can, especially when the real purpose of prosecuting his wife was a sop to the GOP (who then paid off Worthy's mortgage) as retaliation for that resolution, and the judge that the case was assigned to was pissed cause he was also part of the round of bribes (offered by the Carlyle Group, mind you!) and they "bought" him cheaper than they got her for, so you can imagine how fair THAT trial was, and John didn't say word fucking one...

Do we really trust THIS feckless wimp to reign in Obama ?
I sure don't!

As for the rest, I think they should ALL be probed, and I got JUST the guy to put in charge of that.
