Hee, hee, hee; you guys are great today. Of COURSE the Repubs intend to create a furor and stop government (if they can) by demanding investigations...it's their modus operandi.

They did it with Clinton...to little avail...and they had no interest in investigating the MANY and OBVIOUS unconstitutional and illegal actions of Bush. That the Dems realize that's old news and chose to get on with the business of legislating doesn't mean the Repubs will change their tactics, which you have to give them credit for, are as disruptive as they intend them to be.

Hell, they've clearly said that's what they'll do...they'll continue to use any tactic at their disposal to bring Obama down, reasonable or not...what happened to that "Waterloo" by the way?

Nope. I'm comparing Clinton's behavior to Bush's. If anyone EVER deserved to be investigated, it was Bush, who did things which are ACTUALLY detrimental to our country, our laws and our Constitution...not to mention the Bill of Rights.

Clinton lied to Congress about having sex. If every President who had illicit sex, then lied about it, were investigated, America would be tied up in knotts forever. So Clinton got investigated out the wazoo--and if ANYONE deludes themselves it was for the reason stated, they are living in a fantasy world; it was political.

Where was the right when it came to Bush's incredibly egregious activities? Silent as the grave. Now they want to investigate Obama...who has done nothing illegal or unconstitutional, but they'll drag it out anyway, you know it and I know it.

Something of a dichotomy there...which you won't accept, nor will any of your cohorts, I have no doubt.

So if you want to use polls to justify something, bear in mind that a majority of Americans wanted SOMETHING done to investigate the Bush administration's ILLEGAL and UNCONSTITUTIONAL activities.

Nah, that was like everybody BUT Conyers - it's the reason I hate his fuckin pansy ass, he didn't have the balls to take a stand when it counted, and even sold out his own WIFE, who *did* have the nerve to file it as a local resolution while he was busy hiding under the Judiciary Committee table in order to protect his political career - and for what, at the expense of the PURPOSE OF HIS POSITION ?

Whatever you think of Shrub, Conyers is a gutless pansy and you can't possibly despise the man more than I can, especially when the real purpose of prosecuting his wife was a sop to the GOP (who then paid off Worthy's mortgage) as retaliation for that resolution, and the judge that the case was assigned to was pissed cause he was also part of the round of bribes (offered by the Carlyle Group, mind you!) and they "bought" him cheaper than they got her for, so you can imagine how fair THAT trial was, and John didn't say word fucking one...

Do we really trust THIS feckless wimp to reign in Obama ?
I sure don't!

As for the rest, I think they should ALL be probed, and I got JUST the guy to put in charge of that.
