As for the claims of "LifeNews" (gosh, I bet THEY aren't biased, eh?), even if they were true, would you have a problem with the STATE government deciding whether or not to allow abortions? I thought y'all on the right WANTED it to be a states' rights issue!

As I've said before, your tax dollars have been funding abortions all over the world, for years. Dubya funded a whole lot of them in Afghanistan and Iraq, and even in Pakistan. They're performed on pregnant women, using laser-guided bombs. And none of you ever made a peep about it back then. Why is that?

Hello Mike,

You correctly point out that the first things struck down should be the things that can be done by Executive order.

Troops can be moved at will, without Congressional approval. Hence, the wars could be stopped immediately, and all troops could be recalled ASAP. Evac plans exist. Simply activate them.

Detainees can similarly be released at will by the Executive.

The Drug War can similarly be stopped in its tracks, even without legalization. This is able to be accomplished simply by refusing to prosecute certain drug offenses. Tell the Federal agencies to stop prosecuting marijuana smuggling, growth, or possession, for instance. The president could even pardon everyone convicted of Federal drug offenses.

Much can be accomplished just by the President saying so. This is why the idea of someone like Ron Paul getting elected appealed to me so much in 2007-2008. Even if he couldn't change a single law because Congress refused to cooperate with him, he could have changed a great deal about national policies. Much of what I wanted him to do was within his power if he could just attain the office.
