Niki, we do seem to see eye to eye, really. I apologize for inserting the term "object rape" in this discussion since it was not actually used here. I have seen it used elsewhere and some of the focus here seemed to go in that direction, but I think I overreacted.

Chris, it is generally easier for men to lose body fat more quickly, and especially at those last critical few percent. It would be the body fighting actual starvation in a woman, even discounting the influence of pregnancy on appetite, energy levels and nutritional needs on a woman's ability to eat and exercise with such control and excess.

It may be possible for a very few extremely skinny, physically active and nutritionally well-educated women with doctors they can trust and no high level of desperation, but for the average woman, this advice isn't really going to be very helpful and for most the attempt would either be unsuccessful or physically dangerous.

ETA: I don't mean to denigrate your well-intentioned advice. For some women it may be an option. But it should come with a BIG warning label and a BIG disclaimer in terms of likely success.

I must agree with this, to be honest.
But if I were in that unfortunate position (being the martial arts nut that I am), I'd definitely go for it. Heck, already been there by accident (I went on that diet for a while to clear up acne, I didn't realize that I'd end up looking like a skinnier version of Bruce Lee!!!).

Of this I have no doubt.

When can I drop those babies off on your doorstep, Rappy?

And WHY do you assume it's all the woman's fault? Have you ever known a woman who got pregnant without a man's help?

Learn to be responsible, or we'll remove that "burden" and sterilize ya. How ya like THEM apples ?

See? You want to be over the top? 2 can play at that game.

Yeah, that's the point I was getting at - but it's a hard topic cause of how horrible some of the related issues are, the "TMI" factor, and peoples deep uncomfortableness with the topic as a whole, so I tried to be careful with the wording of expressing it to minimize any mental disturbance it might inflict, cause that's kind of a thing with me - I dun care to traumatize folk while getting my point across if I can help it, and that's a hard leash for me to keep a grip on with a topic this sensitive.

The fact that I am male also complicates the issue cause it requires flipping a mental A/B switch most folk don't even HAVE and putting oneself in a mindset opposite of their genetics, which just compounds the difficulty, so bear with me, ok ?

The procedure itself is of neutral morality, and in some cases can be damned useful - like you say, it's the *reasons* behind forcing it upon them which is what's pissin me off here.

On a lighter note, cause this topic sure hell needs one - I did have to put up with a conventional ultrasound shortly after the accident which near killed me cause I was so mangled they were concerned I might have spinal and internal damage, the former requiring all manner of painful contortions while half-conscious for the X-rays, and the latter completely weirding me out - not only the ick factor but goddamn that gel stuff is cold!

The nurses were of course, less than sympathetic and slightly amused at my protestations, even less so when they had to remove some tape from an area of my leg which didn't get shaved first - I was rather bluntly informed that hot wax treatments are worse, so I should suck it up and deal.

Oh, and just cause I've had to walk a girl through THAT mess too...

Rappy, again you show a certain ignorance of the topic you discuss - the girl I was with prior to the current Ex, she very much *WANTED* that, for several reasons which were quite important to her, and because of her youth and various legalese once again almost exclusively written by men, no doctor would freakin DO it.

I dunno how easy/hard it is for a guy, being that all the damage I've racked up has made it a dead letter issue for me anyways - but it is *NOT* easy for a girl under the age of forty to have that done no matter HOW badly she wants to.

A gay friend of mine had a super-hot wife, who told how she got the vaginal ultrasound by 2 doctors.

First time her hubby had heard about it.

Married women either love it or hate it. My friend's wife apparently loved it.

I dare say all husbands hate it.
