"We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false." -- William Casey, Reagan's presidential campaign manager & CIA Director (from first staff meeting in 1981)

Quote:

The idea of celebrating a law, as is so often done in politics, is disgusting to lovers of Freedom. Even in cases where a law is there to help individuals preserve their freedoms, there is necessarily some overall theft of freedom as a consequence. Every law passed, even necessary laws with the best of intentions, ought to be accompanied by a funeral procession. Not cheers.

That should be engraved on the front of the Supreme Court, and every other court in the land.

Mike

No, my brother does. It's a small world. The WHO is incompetent, and shouldn't touch anything.

You defeated your own argument. The colorado river is an environmental disaster. If the midwest states effected were independent countries, they would be threating war against california, someone would bomb the hoover dam, and that one in washington. All of this would be a good start.

Seriously...I guess I can google it, but I'd like to hear it from a personal perspective...or are there none here? Just askin'.

I think the best explanation I heard was that there should be no government agencies - at least minimalist government.
One view is: think of your most favorite governement agency, and if you would be willing to give up that branch as long as all the other branches are also reduced or disolved to the same degree, then you might be a Libertarian.

I consider myself more Libertarian than anything else. Although I don't support the Libertarian ideal of no governement, I also don't think it will happen even if a Libertarian President is elected - but then neither the Dems nor GOP have achieved their ideal states of governemnt either. So the Alibertarian GOAL seems the best direction, from what I see.

"Although I don't support the Libertarian ideal of no governement"

Hello,

To my knowledge 'no government; is more of an anarchist goal. Libertarians tend to believe in a small government centered around protecting freedoms.
