You know, I was thinkin about that whole assassination program thing.

Thing about it is, it ain't that we did that what bothers me - everybody does it, and to pretend otherwise is ridiculously dishonest, hell, that whole rules of war thing is naught but a scam where each side tries to hold the other to rules they've no intention of playing by themselves anyhow, and everyone knows it.

No, it was the cowardly, mealy-mouthed, double-talkin lawyerising nature of it which offended me.

See, I don't have a problem with leaders assassinating each other, oh HELL NO, by all means it's a far better solution than sending hordes of us peons with no real stake in it to slaughter each other in clashes that all too often solve nothing, while the leaders cut some kind of deal.

Fuck em, if it's so important to em, let THEM do the dying, I say!

What we shoulda done was be honest about it, gone up on national television and outright put a hit on the bastard, call the contract right up front and public, like Mel Gibson did in Ransom.

Would they retaliate in kind ? PUH-LEASE, anyone *stupid* enough to think that the "forces of darkness" don't have similar programs raise your hand so we can give you your sign, eh ?

Besides which, not only is presidential security in this country pretty decent, it has the advantage of the way americans are - even those of us who outright despise a POTUS would not act against him in an extralegal fashion cause it's just not done - so what if he's an asshole, he's OUR asshole.

Cheney's little program wasn't offensive cause of what it was, it was offensive cause between the cowardly tiptoe-ing and repeated denials of it's existence even in the beginning when most of america would have supported it - that's just fuckin pathetic, you ask me, and unfortunately typical of that whole neo-feudo-federalist crowd besides.

As for the whole IDEA of that "gentlemens agreement" against assassination so that the lords rest in safety while the peons do all the dyin, IMHO that belongs in the scrap heap right next to the idea that shooting enemy officers is a foul or using incoming paratroopers for skeet practice is some kinda moral failure... *snort*.

On top of which, what kind of an idiot lets the enemy set the rules of engagement, eh ?

So no - the concept being evil didn't offend me, the execution being cowardly did.

It cannot be said enough, those who do not learn from history, are doomed to endlessly repeat it

There's something not quite right about this thing as it's come down. Are you sure we've really heard what the "secret program" was about? Cheney is the master when it comes to misinformation. I can't imagine that the head of the CIA would be nausiated by such news as Cheney having hits out on Al Qaeda leaders. The visceral reaction the folks were having to news of the "program" has to indicate something genuinely heinous, right? It has to be heads of state at least--people we don't like, but who are not in any way directly connected to Al Qaeda--like the leaders of Iran, Syria, Pakistan, that sort o' thing, right? Or worse, 'cause even that isn't so out of the ordinary--the CIA draws up all kinds of bizarre "contingency" plans, just in case. It's just sort of a reflexive exercise with them. So, I'm waiting for the second shoe to drop on this one.

Hey, hey, hey, don't be mean. We don't have to be mean, because, remember, no matter where you go, there you are.

You're wise to do so, of course there is more to it, but I gotta keep my trap shut about anything but the stuff that's been released publicly cause to do otherwise risks fouling up a well deserved stomping of ass in the near future - I can be patient, there's no way in hell they'll keep a lid on it forever, especially when you have congresscritters and their aides involved, SOMEONE is gonna talk, it's only a matter of time.

Besides, I dun wanna bring crap down on Haken for speaking out of school, depending on how seriously they wanna take this mess - and I wasn't involved by choice to begin with.

PIRATENEWS

John Lee, conspiracy therapist at Hollywood award-winner History Channel-mocked SNL-spoofed PirateNew.org wooHOO!!!!!!

In Project Phoenix, CIA and Pentagon sniped 50,000 of THEIR OWN POLITICAL ALLIES in S Vietnam, and massacred entire US military platoons when they refused to obey illegal orders. The assassination program was NOT aimed at N Vietnam.

US Govt death squads always operate domestically in USA, mainly to eliminate whistleblowers and political condidates, but also to whack assassins in rival US police agencies. This has been going on since before the conspiracy to whack Abe Lincoln Rothschild, back to the Revolutionary War. Cheney ordered Predator Reaper robots to assassinate US citizens in Yemen ("domestic terrorists" in AllCIAduh), no arrest, no trial, no appeal.

False flag "terror" bombings by US Govt have been SOP since at least USS Maine, to "justify" the Spanish American War for Cuba, Mexico and the Phillipines. Cheney ran the false flag attack on the US Navy with Navy SEALS dressed as Iranians to "justify" war with Iran, which included US Navy SEALS killing US Navy sailors, and vice versa.

So how many hits has Cheney done in USA? Besides his DC pimp Debra Jean Palfry?

Actually it was Clinton that had Palfrey whacked, but it was a bi-partisan effort anyhows - the damn woman shoulda known better than to talk with her mouth full, just sayin...

As for "Congressional Oversight" ?

Mikey's right, what a fuckin joke that is - how can Congress "oversee" shit they either ain't told about, or are lied to if they DO know anything about it.

Don't blame me, I'm just the messenger boy, and WHY that came to me I got no idea.
