Some yahoo's sendin letters fulla (apparently) non dairy creamer to various financial institutions, prolly pissed off at being reamed to protect their executive compensation packages, which, interestingly enough, apparently AIG has suddenly decided to address, finally.

What's botherin me, is that given the number of desperate last stands by foreclosed homeowners, most of which have NOT made it into the mainstream news*, sooner or later someone in a position or workplace that has access to ANFO or HE, is gonna decide they got nothing left to lose and retaliate much in the fashion that Mario Buda did in 1920 - something which would not be helpful to the situation at hand and could serve as an unfortunate catalyst for copycat incidents.

Or someone might get all killdozer about it, or whatever.

It also paints the police that much further into the dark corner which they've planted themselves, as aggressors of a community rather than protectors, something else which I fear may come to a head all too soon itself.

And more control, more authority, and more fear - that's just gonna speed the process, so...

Anyone got any ideas that DON'T involve makin the problem worse ?

Cause I sure as hell don't at the moment, and while I've no real sympathy for the banks and cops, all too often innocent bystanders get hurt in such wankery.

And lashing out against them often results in a more-than-proportional backlash against ALL OF US. We get screwed because some nutter had a screw loose.

Best bet? Keep pressure on your Reps and Senators. Let them know that you're none too pleased with this BS, and that you'll absolutely hold them responsible come election day. I got semi-lucky: my U.S. Rep voted against the bailout plan, TWICE. Good on him.

The problem is the only crazies with bombs are govt employees, usually working for the govt. Sometimes the school board goes psycho and kill 100 kids in school in a controlled demolition, or a White House goes psycho and kills 10,000 in the WTC by controlled demolition.

Might not agree so much with what Marvin did, but I can respect how he went about it - just objects, mere things, any and all of which could be replaced, rather than lives, which cannot.
