Wulfenstar, you're a great poster and don't let these types of folks run over you. People like him thrive on attacking every opening they get from anybody, just for the sport of attacking. It's pretty pathetic actually. I never said anywhere and I don't believe you have either that we are right about everything. I know I'm not. I'm not posting here to earn my doctorate. This is an entertaining distraction for me at work. That's all. I don't post at night or on the weekends. It's not my life's quest to prove or demonstrate that I'm smarter or intellectually superior to anyone, because of course I'm not. Better to ignore posts that flame you and your opinions. This should be fun, but sometimes it isn't. I do get a big kick out those here that feel so overwhelming compelled to prove us wrong all the time.

Heh, no its not to prove you wrong. That I often think you are wrong is what makes me post a response. That's kind of how debates tend to happen.

Poining out Wulf's comments weren't about him, they were about you saying you see no evidence of racism playing a role in this election. Only in the "Arian nation" did you accept that such ideas might exist in the day to day world of social interacting, as you put it.

I'm telling you you are missing them right in front of your nose on these very boards.

as to the exit polls, I also understand that they were generally very close to accurate, so I'll take your statistics on that matter as being very solid.

I do wonder, if we were to end up with a new thread on election fraud, where you would come down on the fact that exit polls and election results had such disparity in the last election in certain counties. For another thread...

I think that would be an interesting thread. You would likely disagree with my opinion. Here's a sneak peek : Me...personally...I don't like any types of polls, whether before or after the voting. I don't like celebrity endorsements or attacks. I don't want to know who voted for who; and the demographic breakdowns by age, race, gender, income etc etc all make me sick. Voting is supposed to be a personal, private matter. It's called a secret vote for a reason. The last time I walked out of my local polling place I was besieged by no less than a dozen people all trying to find out how I voted. I walked right on by all of them and just smiled. That's the foundation of my opinion concerning any future discussion of the 2004 exit polling debacle.

Wulf, what the hell are you talking about? Please give some evidence pointing to me seeing racism everywhere. The only specific place i've pointed to is your posts. On the broader scale, I pointed to the 28 percent of people in a certain study who claimed they would not vote for a black man.

Your hyperbole is without merit, mostly because you don't even try to back it up with evidence.

As stated I hate all the polls, but I can't hide from them. They're out there, and they're something to talk about. I'm not aware I was using them to make a point, although I did wonder if the 90% reference was relevant to the 28% discussion. That does now seem to be a bit contradictory, and I won't go there again.

It's probably got something to do with the fact that many people, even those who are sick of the status quo, are afraid of change, even if they don't realize they are. McCain won the nomination because people knew him already - although many of the other candidates were way ahead of him in the polls at some point, once people had to vote they stuck to what they knew. It's probably similar now, people who were leaning towards change and Obama suddenly realized that November isn't too far away and change can be scary, so they're leaning towards McCain now.

Another thing is that although McCain makes several gaffes a day, the MSM hardly picks up on them. Obama should be so lucky.
