Vallejo City Leaders to Look at Police, Fire Salaries in Budget Crisis

If Vallejo was to declare bankruptcy, it would be the first city in California history to do so. Orange County went through bankruptcy procedings in 1994. Gomes largely blames what she calls exorbitant salaries and benefits for Vallejo firefighters and police officers. Gomes said that last year, 98 firefighters made more than $100,000 and 10 made more than $200,000 including overtime.

Firefighters top city salaries - Union City releases employee earnings for 2006

Every full-time Union City firefighter earned more than $100,000 last year and the Fire Department accounted for nearly half of all city employees earning six figures, according to city data. Citywide, former police Chief Randy Ulibarri made the most money in 2006 with $220,256, followed by City Manager Larry Cheeves with $212,730. Rounding out the top five were Battalion Chief Ronald Oatis, $196,040; Battalion Chief Michael Brown, $191,721; and police Capt. Greg Stewart, $189,747. The Argus requested Union City's salary figures for calendar year 2006 last month after the California Supreme Court ruled that governments must reveal what they pay employees. Of about 305 full-time city employees, 98 earned more than $100,000 last year, said Rich Digre, who oversees the city's budget. The Fire Department accounted for 42 six-figure earners, compared with 35 for the Police Department. For sworn Union City police officers who made at least $70,000 in base salary last year, the average salary was $105,250 and the average overtime earnings was $8,204. Their counterparts in Fremont averaged $124,226 in total salary and $12,760 in overtime. In Fremont, average pay for firefighters was $137,404, and average overtime pay was $29,242.

This is happening all over USA, with folks paid $10,000 a year robbed at gunpoint by police state death squads, to pay $200,000 salaries to police state death squads. Approved arson is also a very profitable business for the "fire dept", aided and abetted by the insurance extortion rackets, banksters and judges in black dresses.

Never mind that all city, county, state and fed govt keeps 2 sets of books to defraud the taxslaves, aided and abetted by the pathological liars of the media mafia. $70-Trillion taxdollars are looted every year by theft of CAFR "pension" funds, like the Mafia loots union pension funds. Over $1-billion is looted every year this way from City of Knoxville Municipal Corporation. Govt "Budget Reports" always censor CAFR profits. Even the CAFR doesn't report the daily "churning" of accounts and losses. City court in Knoxville does not even keep any record of the profit from 200,000 annual KPD tickets against the 160,000 resident slaves.

The criminals are in charge. Until the house of cards hits the fan. Then the Mexican and Canadian troops will move in to restore order for Northcom, those nice Canadian folks who "defended" USA on 9/11/2001, paid for by the German Queen of England and her Nazi king now on trial for murdering their daughter-in-law.

Dude, this is the LEAST of the issues in Vallejo, and you know that as well as I do.

That place is so crooked it makes the rest of Kalifornistan look clean by comparison!

So what's the inside scoop on Vallejo?

I predict it's just like every other city, and all will go BK, to give away ("privatize") their $70-trillion in assets to Commie China and Dubai.

Well, lets see...

Grade-buying at the college and general corruption and embezzlement within the K-12 public education system besides...

Money laundering for a DC prostitution ring running "escort services" for politicos in DC (and don't ask how old some of them were...)

Accusations of not only embezzlement, but get this, dark sorcery, I kid you not, on behalf of the county commissioner, Ms. Handy...

Police dept begging unvetted civvie volunteers without proper supervision to assist with (read: foul up) sex offender and domestic violence cases, hard to prosecute without a secure chain of evidence, and involving unvetted, untrained civvies does this - plus they're unpaid and not properly supervised.

Low end penny stocks fraud cycles and schemes like Teltek...

A rather laughable elections process with serious chain of custody issues...

And that's just the stuff I'm willing to share!

The whole place is just a hotbed of crime, corruption and general chicanery to a downright creepy level, hell, go muckrake it if you like, there's enough straight out woo-woo weird shit to keep even you occupied for weeks!

I'd say it's too wacked out to believe, but this IS Kalifornia, so...

It cannot be said enough, those who do not learn from history, are doomed to endlessly repeat it

You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. You must be cautious...

Watch out for the Police State Death Squads.

Is this the place that "lost" several million dollars of IBM computer equipment originally destined for the school system? If it's the place I'm thinking of they never paid IBM for it and after giving them 15 years to pay for it IBM sued for the money last year...

Oh, well, shit, after fifteen years, I'm sure they can just give the equipment back. "Hey, this stuff isn't really working any more. We're not gonna pay for broken, outdated computer equipment..."

Is it funny to anyone (besides me) that I read PirateJew's posts from beginning to end, and the most salient thing I come out of them with is something along the lines of [cue Caveman voice]: "Mmmmmmm... Me want Kill-Dozer..."

Honestly, that KillDozer DOES look like a fun piece of equipment!

They lost the equipment. Apparently they have no records of ever receiving it, though city employees remember seeing in in city warehouses and there is an invoice chain at IBM. As far as anyone can tell it came in and then was sold out a few months later leaving the city with the bill.
