Problem is, I don't think Henry quite realizes what they're holding back and why.
I mean, look at the list of what they've already admitted to freely.

Thing is, I do believe I have a pretty good idea of what it is in those remaining documents that the regime doesn't want to ever see the light of day, and that has a lot to do with how Abramoff moved in and took over Larry Franklins action when Franklin went down for the count.

I'll point out to you for example just how painfully the mainstream press avoided mentioning the fact that many of those "prostitutes" ole Jack was providing were not old enough to possess a drivers license.

Nor does it mention that certain elements of that scam resulted in compromising evidence against various politicians being used to put the arm on them to secure friendly decisions for Abramoffs clients.

Those are the two things that are known for sure - the specifics are likely in those documents, and without those specifics coming to light, how it all connects up and who is responsible for what... have been subjected to such speculation as to come up with theory-fodder that would have PN just dancing with glee, no doubt.

I refuse to speculate - I wanna know, or rather confirm my own suspicions without airing them beforehand, and I want those documents released, by now, given even the small amounts of hard evidence through the years, it's no great secret that most of congress likes fucking little kids, but that doesn't tell us how they were compromised and by whom, for what reason.

That is also a matter of great concern on a national security front, considering the information that could be exploited by a foreign power with substantial blackmail evidence on a member of Congress - any attempt to subvert a Congressperson by a non-american should properly be considered espionage and investigated, then handled, accordingly.

To hell with their reputations, Waxman needs those documents so that the compromised folk, if any, can be cut off from security access and/or supplied with misinformation to munge up the works and build a case against the perps.

(I acknowledge that for security reasons they may have to hold that information in confidence to build a case, but only so long should that excuse be tolerated.)

THEN that info needs to be made public, and the Congressfolk themselves censured if not impeached, expelled and then arrested - at the very least so that their constiutents are aware that their elected rep is a molester and a sellout besides.

I do not think Waxman fully comprehends the nature of the can of worms he's trying to pry open here, but I wish him best of luck given the shitstorm that is likely to follow if he manages to do so.

They wanna talk up national security - one of the better steps to take is to ensure Congressfolk are not being compromised, and if they are, how and by whom.

It'd be a freakin start.

I'm not sure what Waxman would gain from having himself or his fellow Democrats revealed for what they truly are. But I do support your sentiment...the Democrats should be impeached, expelled, and then arrested...perhaps even have their freezers searched for evidence and a urine test for steroid use (lets face it Hillary has been looking like more of a man the either Barrack or Edwards...although to be fair, PN reported Edwards had a sex change in 2005, I usually don't trust PirateNews...but I think he was dead on in this case).

I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

Republicans who do that sort of stuff... AND WHO ARE EXPOSED... tend to either leave office (immediately or at the end of their term) and not return. Except for Craig, who wants to hang on. But the nice thing about Republicans, they treat each other so well, cover up for each other, which is how some of the more perverted Repugs managed to stay on for years while screwing underage aides. Not that Dems are necessarily any better, but they are certainly no worse, and generally not as hypocritical. (Braying about the sin of homosexuality on the one hand while keeping the other hand busy with a gay lover.)

Frem, what should we do to push this forward? Write letters of support to Waxman?

Closest thing I know about is Gerry Studds, who had unethical sex with an age of consent 17 year old, and who was censured by the house 420-3 for doing so. Sounds like bipartisan reprimand to me.

And who are the democrats who commited murder that we looked the other way about?

And who are the congressmen caught red handed in corruption that we have continued to back? How many dems have stood by William Jefferson by the way, and he has not yet been convicted. People have stood by Delay's ass to the end, publically. Privately, they probably edged him out.

And what racists are you talking about? People like old-school Byrd? Like that state is going to elect a bastion of civil rights from either party. He should have been a Republican, I agree.

And what do you determine to be deviant sexual practices? See, democrats don't really weigh in on this one...not on extramarital affairs, not on homosexuality, not often and loudly on prostitution, so when they are engaged in any of these things, only the latter is a crime, and frankly, I don't think it should be.

But republicans are right to be outraged when one of their own is found out to be homosexual, or seeking out prostitutes, or having affairs. they were the ones who were lied to. They voted for their politicians because they thought they were bible-bashing homophobes, and then it turned out that they were closeted homosexuals.

How the hell did party become a concern here ?

Who gives a damn what party they're part of if they're doin something like this - or worse, have been compromised on a security level in addition to their misdeeds ?

If you wanna discuss the blow-by-blow about which party is freakier or more deviant (and I wish you luck on THAT one..) please take it somewhere else, or start a new thread, ok ?

This is about the substantial security risk of congressfolk possibly compromised by someone or someones via evidence of that misbehavior, which is something unrelated to party and could have national security implications.

It's something that is potentially a very serious problem, and one hell of an ugly can of worms as it is without adding partisan snark to the mix, which will just muddy the waters when we most need to see clearly.

Sarbanes is a decent guy, for a politico, he kept his word to me when he gave it, even though it took nearly two years for the issue we were dealing with at the time to come to fruition.

He's got cred with me for that, since there was nothing in it for him but the satisfaction of doing what was right, for a poor nobody without financial or political resources.

And it's always fun to kick Kuchinich in the ass, I like the guy, but his intention of crapping on the second amendment has put him off my list of potentials... still, he's useful and he's got guts, just never let him near your guns, lol.

You wanna steer clear of Tierney however, he's very likely one of the one's compromised and I am sure he wouldn't want that coming out if he could help it.

As for the rest, of either party, most of em have significant "dirt" on them which can be bent against them - if it's good enough for whoever was paying Abramoff, it's good enough for us citizens who are nominally their bosses, right ?

It's just like the Genarlow Wilson case, you get enough thumbs on em, enough pressure, and really make em sweat it - and it'll get done.

Brings up an interesting thought. Saw an interview with Mike Huckabie on Faux News (not my TV not my choice of channel) where he discounted the idea of running as a 3rd party canidate on the basis that without a party building up the local organisation to win an election is too difficult and too expensive.

That seems to suggest that there is an excessive market entry cost to getting into the national political game which in turn gives parties too much power in the electoral process.

Maybe stage one is to address that? I don't agree with Ron Paul but what he says should have a chance of being considered by the American people, seems a shame that he'd be effectively locked out.
