Our good friends at the Consumerist put together a list of 50 political whores who have taken campaign contributions from the RIAA. It looks like Obama and Hillary are in the RIAA's pocket for a measley $2,000.00 a piece. I generally think of Repugs when I think of Big Gov sleeping with Big Corp, but it didn't suprise me to see 21 Demons whoring themselves out too.

No suprise to me that Ron Paul didn't make an appearance on this list. Ron Paul will not be bought by anyone.

Thanks Jack - I give Conyers hell about this all the time, since he takes a LOT of money from them, mostly it laundered pretty heavy, but we both know the score and I tore him a good one over it face to face at a local Howard Dean rally before the DNC rolled him and he bent over for the masters.
(Hey Dean! pansy!)

Conyers is prettymuch in their pocket on this one and there ain't no movin him, cause trust me, he gets WAY more than $2000 from them, it's just laundered through a bunch of fronts - but Dingell is more in line with our thoughts on the matter and worth talkin to about it.

You ever considered using your intricate political knowledge for darker purposes, Jack ?
And don't deny it to me, I KNOW better.

Cause if you could keep your cool and put on the suit and the front, you could stealth-sandbag those bastards pretty good you know.

Just a thought.

Man, that's great how you love to give them hell Frem.

Yeah... We know that they all get a whole lot more than that list says, but they put down a minimal amount like that on paper so they aren't outright denying that they were funded by the most hated corporation in America if any of the worthless reporters out there even bother to ask. In terms of the 1 Billion plus dollars the Demons and Repugs alone will be spending on campaiging alone, $2,000.00 here and there is a mere drop in the bucket that will go completely unnoticed by most of the proles since the main media outlets will no doubt skim right over this little nugget of truth.

Thanks for your pseudo-nomination for office there Frem. Coming from you, I must say, that's pretty flattering. I'm not so sure I possess an intricate knowledge of politics you mentioned so much as I just have a pretty good nose for sniffing out bullshit. Since most politicians swim in it, it blows my mind that there aren't a whole lot more people who are good at it.

I like the idea, and I do look pretty good in a suit on the rare occasions, such as weddings, that I actually wear one. There's a couple of things that would keep me from taking that avenue though, the first being that my verbal skills aren't even close to my writen skills, which could admittedly use some work themselves. Everybody gave Bush crap all the time for how he stuttered and I always thought about how lousy I did in public speaking in High School and I kinda sympathized with him there. In fact, I thought he did a lot better than I used to, although "kinda alright" isn't really good enough if you're going to be president. But... with proper training, that can all be fixed. Joke was on us sheep who thought he was just a bumbling idiot and could never cause everyone so much trouble.

My other reason, and the more important one of the two, is that I prize my limited anonymity. I wouldn't want my past combed with a fine tooth and my reputation destroyed by the negative campaign machine. I've made it quite clear, without getting into specifics, that I'm no angel and I've been involved in things that aren't exactly stuff you'd want your mother to know about. I doubt many people could actually say otherwise if they were being true to themselves or if they were under the public microscope, but that's neither here nor there. People will argue me on this, but I have no doubt that there are agencies in place that can read everything I've ever typed on the internet if they so choose, and I'm quite confident that there are things (perhaps even on this blog) that they've read of mine, and the only reason I haven't had an "accident" yet is because a) I'm not a threat to them, yet, or b) I'm interesting as hell to them and they want to see what I'm capable of doing. I'd prefer it to be the former, because I really hope nobody's watching too closely.

I wouldn't mind discussing the possibilites though. It's not as if I'm doing anything noteworthy or particulary interesting at the moment.

Nah, not runnin for office, that's lunacy, I mean a different thing, you see.

What you do, is sidle up to one of "them", internships and the like are good for this, and you slowly become useful to them, see ?

And then once you've got in the door and become a fixture, start off small - play folks natural tendancies, pass the local blabbermouth that important memo to type up, take a neutral stance and let the office politics forment a while...

And then come down hard and fast and crush it, brutally, efficiently - the key here is to never look ambitious, and play as best as possible the role of primary goon and right hand man... and then you get CLOSE, you get TRUSTED...

And you know this much of the game, I know you do, you'd just be playin for the other side this time around.

And then, in goes the knife, slow and quiet and easy, and in anyone's hand BUT yours - and who cares who you burn in the doing of it, they're all rethug neocon wannabes climbing our ass for a share of cutting our throats anyway, so the only hard part is not to smile when things start going to hell in a handbasket, because you are dealing with the most suspicious, paranoid critters on the planet, and it's painfully, embarassingly EASY to turn them against each other without them even being aware that it is happening.

And you maintain that precious perception of neutrality as you exit that collective and watch it burn, shaking your head while refusing to comment or speak a word against them, and when folks come asking questions, you keep your mouth SHUT, like a good little soldier, and soon enough those folks go away - and soon enough, you'll get another offer, from another poltico...

Not all wars are fought outright in the open with rockets and bombs, my friend.

Thats easy to say when folk are not exactly lining up to throw money at him. Dennis Kucinich has raised more money and he's only courting the crazy-liberal-hobbit vote.

Thats a good campaign slogan:

"Ron Paul will not be bought by anyone."

He can write it on the back of his napkin and pass it to you and you can pass it to PirateNews and that way both/all of the people planning to vote for him will be covered.

You my boy Kane...

Hero's just sore he'll be out of a job if somebody like Ron was elected. I won't shed any tears for the lawyers scavengering for food out of dumpsters.

I know this all too well, my friend. I worked with Repugs in direct mail and political campaigning when I was 19-20 years old.... It pissed me off when I lost my job after the Repuglican witch hunt the Demons did in my state resulted in best friends wearing wires and ratting out each other to the FEDs to keep their asses out of prison for the rest of their short and sorry lives.

I'm liking the idea though. The behind the scenes is much more my speed. I'm just imagining sitting there calmly and smiling inwardly while the castle walls burn down around me.....
