Odd.

Although I've seen a representation of middle eastern culture well done in Anime before.
Quatre Raberba Winner (from Gundam Wing) is a Berber and although it's not very promiment, the presentation of the culture behind him and the maganac corps with him is represented quite well.

If you wanna see a REAL point blank view of things from an Afghans point of view, you should buy or rent "The Beast".
