I am sorry to hear about the difficulties with utility trucks. And also isn't a utility truck snagging an electrical wire dangerous? Like electrocution and grounding issues?

Trying to find threads and catch up with them...

This is the second time I've had post-storm-disaster trucks take out internet wiring to my house. (Irene, then Sandy.) I guess the wires to my place sag too much. Busy utility trucks don't bother getting things as low as possible before driving down my street, which *sigh* leads right to the interstate, hence the traffic. I've gathered that internet cables aren't dangerous. I can believe it. They aren't carrying high voltage power to run microwaves and dryers and such, just a fairly low powered signal.

I have to say, given the hard core wiring issues happening on the East Coast in the past month, the cable company reacted faster than I thought they would. This downed wire affected no one but me. It was nice of them to get to it as quick as they did, given all the work they have to do.

Really, there are streets in my town that still have replacement transformers sitting at the base of the utility poles beside the street, as if to say: "Hey, when you get a chance, could you maybe string this up thx!"

What was this thread about? Where's the one with the seismic images? I meant to get back to that, but can't find it....

Hey, good to see you again.

This thread was about gay marriage mostly, most people seemed to agree about pot.

Here is the thread with the seismic graphs.
