1. Sorry for being a dick. I was going through a lot, and coming back here, there was a lot of hostility flying. So I barked. I should have barked in a more fair and balanced fashion, but the other wasn't hurling my way.

2. I'm not really back, I'm lurking. I'm going to stay a lurker. It's not the time it's the hostility. It rubs off, as anthony said, and soon you notice you're snapping at other people, outside the forum. Probably a psych study for that.

I don't have a problem with carrying it outside the forum; for me, this is a separate 'verse from my life, or just one part of it I guess. This place is SO much more virulent than anything or anyone in my life, it's really easy to divorce it from the real world. But

, the aggression here is a lesson daily for me in how not to give in to it, and I fail as much as anyone!

DT, you're not a dick. We disagree on some things, and I think you have your own blind spots, but rejoice in showing others their own blind spots.

That's not being a dick; that's being human.

Being a dick would involve denying that you have any blind spots!

Anyhow, hope things are looking better for you. Sometimes life sucks, and throws more at you than you think you can handle. Such times are probably NOT the time to discuss politics in a hostile environment. :)

But while we may disagree, we're still Browncoats, and we're still here for you when the chips are down, as you would be for any of us.

I'm likely to be a bit of a lurker for the next month or so myself. Family matters, holidays, busy-busy work schedule, etc., all have conspired to see to it that I have no free time. I'll pop in at lunchtime when I can.

Speaking of which, my lunch hour is now officially over...
