A TSA employee based at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport tried to kill himself after allegedly abducting a young woman, sexually assaulting her then giving her a suicide note to deliver.

The LaGrange Daily News reports that Randall Scott King, whose age was not released, grabbed the woman Wednesday night from a MARTA parking lot in southwest Atlanta then took her to his house in Hogansville near the Alabama border.

After the alleged sexual assault, King released the woman along with his note.

The alleged victim and assailant were not strangers. "They left the airport together voluntarily," Hartsfield-Jackson spokeswoman Katena Carvajales told the AJC.

According to the paper, the woman informed Union City authorities, who on Thursday alerted the Hogansville Police Department. Officers arrived at the man's house to find him with what appeared to be self-inflicted wounds. King is in critical condition at Columbus' Regional Medical Center, the Daily News reports.

King, a behavior detection officer, has been with the Transportation Security Administration for nearly five years, spokesman Jon Allen told the AJC.

Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...

I'm not into saying "fuck (whatever)". I'd rather say "let's force them to find another way". There's supposed to be a demonstration Wednesday to protest this, which is gonna piss a LOT of people off because it's going to screw things up something fierce the day before Thanksgiving.

Me, I'd rather do that, or something like it. Of course, it requires buying a ticket to somewhere, and expecting to get arrested, but if more people protested, things would change. People already are; people are paying attention to it; hopefully they'll work on finding another way.

Saying "fuck you" doesn't do a damned thing. And the TSA doesn't give a damn anyway. Pressure on them, AND on the airlines, means something. Fuck you does not.

The person who harmed that woman? You can find his ilk anywhere, in places they shouldn't be. If they left together, she wasn't kidnapped; that's important. The article, in my view, has no validity--if I wanted I could find articles like it from every walk of life.

Wulf, just like terrorists, the odds of anything like this happening to you are zero...in this case, you have to buy a ticket and FLY somewhere for it to have any meaning in your personal life. Empty threats mean nothing, except to spew your anger. Spew away.

That's the bottom line. Ironically, the people who have bought into that fear are those most willing to go along with what it produces...until it impacts them personally.

Again I bring up the survey that showed that 80% of Americans thought this was a good idea. They are the ones giving into fear; and as the pundit said about it, if they gave that survey AFTER people had gone through the experience, the numbers wouldn't be the same. Fear manipulates; we've given in to fear on SO many levels, that people like Wulf think and behave as if it impacts their own lives. It would be interesting to see how Wulf and his ilk would write about "keeping us safe" if the Patriot Act, TSA, warrantless wiretapping or waterboarding impacted THEM. Any bets?
