Drug fails 5th trial, investors wiped out. 10:35 AM · Aug 24, 2023 https://twitter.com/MattGertz/status/1694735109327401362 This is actually all true, but it's not the whole story. In 2014, after working for a hedge fund as a biotech investor, Ramaswamy started up Roivant Sciences, which was originally intended to buy the rights to castoff drugs and then continue developing them. His first deal was completed by a Roivant subsidiary called Axovant. Among other things, Ramaswamy: Bought the rights to intepirdine, a failed Alzheimer's drug, for almost nothing in December 2014. Took Axovant public in June 2015. Somehow talked up its value to $3 billion before cashing out in December 2015. Unsurprisingly, intepirdine failed yet another clinical trial and Axovant collapsed. Before that happened, however, it had made a bunch of money for Ramaswamy in the space of a mere 12 months. You've clearly bought that line of bullshit, so commit to it now. It is perfectly Constitutional to disqualify Trump with no definition of what "disqualify" means. Not allow his name on the ballot? That could be "disqualify". Not count votes for Trump if he is on the ballot? That could be "disqualify". Kill him after the election? Tough for Trumptards to lose der Führer Trump, but that could be called "disqualify" ex post facto. Are you concerned, 6ixStringJack, over the possibility of your God being martyred? Then call the Secret Service, you unemployed, mentally disabled and worthless white trash drunkard and drug addict, the very epitome of a solid Trump voter. I can confidently make that statement because I know a thousand East Texas Trump voters.

This is the source of an amusing anecdote reported by Maggie Haberman: Giroir supposedly came to the Oval Office to talk about opioids, and Trump — mistaking him for a military officer — asked about bombing fentanyl labs in Mexico. “The response from White House aides,” Haberman dryly reports, “was not to try to change Trump’s view, but to consider asking Giroir not to wear his uniform to the Oval Office anymore.” Haberman also reports in her book that Trump’s interest in the subject led to him “eventually asking a stunned Defense Secretary Mark Esper whether the United States could indeed bomb the labs,” which suggests the whole thing was not purely a mixup about Giroir’s role. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/09/28/trump-book-white-house-bomb-mexico/ The Joss Whedon script for Serenity, where Wash lives, is Serenity-190pages.pdf at https://www.mediafire.com/folder/1uwh75oa407q8/Firefly

Quote:Originally posted by second: Republicans are "walking the plank" by pursuing the strictest possible abortion laws, according to GOP Representative Nancy Mace. In the wake of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade last summer, Republican lawmakers across the country have begun pursuing laws to restrict abortion access with renewed vigor, especially in states where they hold majority power. Some Republican 2024 presidential candidates have also said they would support some sort of a federal abortion law that would restrict access to the medical procedure everywhere. Abortion access has been resiliently popular among voters in the wake of Roe ending, however. Numerous polls have found majority support for abortion rights in most states, red or blue, and every state-level election concerning the matter in the last year has seen voters come out strongly in support of protecting access to abortion. Speaking with CNN for a profile released on Sunday, Mace, a two-term congresswoman from a moderate South Carolina district, outlined her rare stance as an anti-abortion Republican in favor of broader exceptions for women seeking the procedure. Having spoken openly about her own sexual assaults as a teen, Mace has advocated strongly for rape and incest exceptions in abortion laws. She has also called for limits of around 12 to 15 weeks, not six weeks, as many conservative legislatures in the United States have pursued. https://www.newsweek.com/republicans-are-walking-plank-abortion-pro-life-congresswoman-1824255 The Joss Whedon script for Serenity, where Wash lives, is Serenity-190pages.pdf at https://www.mediafire.com/folder/1uwh75oa407q8/Firefly

Biden has installed judges all across the country that let men shower with women as long as they tell you that they're not men. And if Biden* has never stated that was the specific reason he put them there, the Media loves it and calls you a bigot if you don't agree, so he doesn't even have to say it. His fuckin' supreme court justice from Wakanda can't even tell you what a Woman is because she didn't get her degree in Biology. Quote:Trump would pass a Federal Law punishing Abortion as Murder. No. He wouldn't. LOL Get off it dude. Does Trump strike you as the (genuinely) religious type? Dude has probably paid for a dozen abortions on top of hush money. All that pussy he grabbed... You know he knocked up at least a dozen of them.

Quote:Originally posted by second: Quote:Originally posted by 6ixStringJack: I'm for it.To bomb Mexico is nuts. Not unexpected to learn you and the GOP are nuts: Invading Mexico becomes a mainstream Republican Party position. “Mexico is a captive narco state. I support the amendment and support passing an Authorized Use of Military Force against Mexico.” Donald Trump has led the calls for war, enlisting advisers to come up with ways to attack Mexican drug cartels — with or without Mexico’s permission. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis promised he would send military forces to Mexico on “day one” if he is elected president. Vivek Ramaswamy, the businessman-turned-presidential-hopeful, said he would use “military force to decimate the cartels, Osama bin Laden-style, Soleimani-style” in the first six months of his presidency. Former CIA agent Will Hurd — who at one point was the only Black Republican in the House — said this week that he wants to “dismantle cartel and human smuggling networks by treating them the same way we treated the Taliban and Al Qaeda.” Meanwhile in Congress, 21 Republicans — led by Reps. Dan Crenshaw and Michael Waltz — introduced legislation in January to authorize the use of military force against Mexican cartels. In March, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., announced he would introduce legislation to “set the stage” for military force in Mexico. And House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer said it was a “mistake” that then-President Trump didn’t move forward with his reported hopes to “shoot missiles into Mexico to destroy the drug labs,” and then lie and pretend the U.S. was not behind the attack. https://theintercept.com/2023/08/31/republicans-mexico-war/ What next from the Trumptards?
