My favorite comment though, and the one that got removed the day before I got the ban was on a speedrun of the Mega-Man franchise.

It simply read: "Back in my day we didn't ask Mega-Man if he had a penis. We just assumed that he did."



And that was it. The day after I was never able to log into YouTube again. All of my playlists and subscriptions were deleted forever.

Why haven't I just created another gmail account so I can log into YouTube again, you may ask? Well... I've actually been advised by a lawyer not to do that. YouTube doesn't do IP bans and although it wouldn't be a chore at all to set that up, their machine learning algorithm is scary accurate and it usually doesn't take them long at all to figure out that you (as a banned person) had created another account. Doing this, and being caught doing it, is a serious violation of Google's TOS. One which could actually see you dragged into court where they might try to throw the book at you and make an example of you.

No ROI on that for me, I'm afraid. I've set my browser bookmarks to handle the channels I was subscribed to now, and I figured I could use a break from the comment section anyhow.




I just wanted to set the record straight here. I didn't say anything heinous to get a ban.

In East Texas there are thousands of little outhouses behind Trumptards' big houses. My own grandparents, all Democrats who switched to being Republicans after Civil Rights and Voting Right Laws were passed by Democrats, had outhouses. I believed it was so weird of them, but now that I'm old like they were when they made the switch I perfectly understand what was motivating them. And my grandparents were opposed to vaccinations.

Postscript: My parents and grandparents had difficult lives, with not much money, because of the ideas circling around in their heads, ideas that live on today's Trumptards.

Cruz is yet again threatening a shutdown to accomplish something -- the removal of a mandate that private businesses with more than 100 employees are to require vaccinations -- that is a) not going to happen but b) seen as a fight for essential freedoms by the Republicans' base.

And, he is doing so as he has his eye, again, on running for president in 2024 and badly needs to win back supporters of Donald Trump who soured on the Texas Republican when he refused to endorse him at the 2016 Republican National Convention.
