A/N: So, Laeiasky, Tamsibling and I have written our own little fics about the few seconds we see Simon and Kaylee unloading boxes in the galley at the end of Serenity. It’s a little racy in the second part so I will rate this R-ish....

Kaylee let out a happily sated sigh as she stretched like a lazy cat soaking up the sun against Simon. Her eyes closed as he ran a hand down between her breasts, skimming across her belly and ending it’s trail at her lower hip, squeezing the flesh there before cupping her backside and pressing her body against him. She moved her leg up Simon’s own, sliding it across his thigh and moving it to rest over his abdomen. “I like later, “She murmured as she pressed fluttering kisses along his neck, “It should be later more often.” “I...yeah.” His breath came out sharply as she moved to behind his ear, sucking the flesh tenderly before progressing to nibble at his ear. He shifted her against him, tugging at her hips to pull her on top of him, having her straddle his body as he ran his hands up and down the sides of her torso. He lifted his head up to capture her lips in a long, languid kiss, educing a little cry as she grasped his hair in her hands. When he pulled back and gazed at Kaylee licking her lips in satisfaction it made him chuckle, “Later is good.” She arched her eyebrow at his insinuation, casting him a sultry glower. “Just good?” Her question was tinged with mock annoyance, but she couldn’t keep the pretense up for long as he cupped the rounding of her ass and pressed her down hard against his renewed arousal. He smiled that swai smile that made her go all bibbledy over him and gasped at how ready he was for her. “Very good?” His words were taunting but said so genuinely that Kaylee could only laugh at his attempt to tease her. “I thought with all that schoolin’ you’d be more....hmm what’s the word I’m lookin’ for?” Simon cocked his head, “Eloquent?” Kaylee shook her head, her hair falling in auburn brown waves around her angelic face, “Nope.” Simon thought again, blowing out a breath as Kaylee returned to kissing his neck, “Ummm...articulate?” “Uh-uh” She shook her head and moved down, trailing kisses down his collarbone, slowly inching towards his chest. Simon was racking his brain for more words but Kaylee’s ministrations were making it extremely difficult. She bit his skin lightly causing him to stutter as the word spilled forth from his mouth, “Ev..evocative?” Kaylee lifted her head from his chest and smiled amusedly, her eyes shimmering with an impish gleam. “Now that one sounds kinda dirty.” “It, ahhh...it can be...” Simon admitted as Kaylee returned to her task at hand, venturing farther down his body, making it tighten with anticipation. Her hair brushed against his skin, tickling his flesh and creating even more tension to course through his veins. She reached the juncture of his abdomen and hip, caressing the skin of his inner thigh with her hand as she rested her cheek there, causing Simon to call out softly at her tender touch. “Oh God, Kaylee!” Simultaneously, as her name fell forth from Simon’s lips, another voice crackled through the com calling out her name as well. “Kaylee!” The captain’s voice startled them both. Kaylee jumped up from Simon’s body as he sat up straight in bed, landing next to him. She then scrambled over him and hit the com button, replying innocently back, “Yes Cap’n?” “Why are there food stuffs jumbling all about my galley?” The irritation in Mal’s voice reverberated off the hull walls, Kaylee’s eyes widening as she searched for an answer, “I -” Mal cut her off before she could think up a good excuse, “Maybe you could climb off of Simon for a few and both of ya can finish up your work? Almost broke my neck on that box you left out in the middle of the floor.” Kaylee bit her lip, “Yes, sir.” Simon sank back down into the mattress and groaned at Mal’s dreadful timing. Kaylee giggled at his frustration, “Ahhh, honey, we can finish...later.” Simon pulled the pillow out from underneath his head and hurled it at Kaylee, softly knocking into her as she sunk down to the floor with laughter. She gasped at the assault, “You’re gonna regret that!“ Picking up the pillow and launching herself back on the bed, Kaylee began to batter him with it. He growled at her attack, flipping her underneath him and pinning her arms against the bed, Kaylee crying out in surprise at his forceful retaliation. Her chest heaved with exertion, her eyes sparkling with mirth and astonishment. Simon leaned down and kissed her hungrily, making Kaylee moan into his mouth as she wrapped her legs around his waist. When he pulled back Kaylee smiled wickedly, “Cap’n won’t like it if we don’t get up there right quick, Simon.” “I don’t care. Do you?” Kaylee shook her head no, her lips curling at the edges. Simon leaned down to capture those lips in a tender kiss that promised more to come. Suffice it to say, Mal was not pleased when Simon and Kaylee returned to the galley, a good half hour after he had called down. "And just where the hell have you two been?" Kaylee opened her mouth to reply but Mal just pointed a finger at her and interrupted before the words could leave her mouth, "You know what? I don't wanna know. Just get to work, ma shong!" Both Simon and Kaylee averted their eyes from his sneering grimace as they finished unpacking the rest of the boxes, smiling at each other every so often with heated, goofy glances. Mal shook his head in exasperation and left the two to finish up, suddenly having the urge to call on Inara.
