Since my favorite local cinema re-opened, This is the first film they showed that I wanted to watch.

But this Friday they are showing Nobody, so I'll see it again.

I don't recall being any fan of Guy Ritchie, and this entry retains that standard.

Jason Statham and some familiar faces do carry the film, but another director probably could have gotten a lot more out of the cast.
And maybe some lighting every once in a while.

The action is good, the action scenes are good, the script seems fairly well put together - but pay attention to the intended subscript - even when it is not very visible.

I had expected this to be better than Nobody, based upon Box Office so far - but it was not as good as Nobody, just different.

Within it's genre, I'll give it 3 or 4 stars. As just a film, I'll give it 3 stars. I had hoped for more.

I was trying for a while to recall what the vibe I had gotten from the transitions and scene openings was.

I think it reminded me of Rushmore, and Moonrise Kingdom.

Those were both directed by Wes Anderson.
I have not seen Isle of Dogs, but that suggested the similar vibe.
