Sometimes you own the libs. Sometimes, the libs own you.

I'm waiting for Signy's "Obama's fascist coup of Israel succeeds!" thread. Then the circle of idiocy will be complete.

It's not personal. It's just war.

While it may make perfect sense for Siggy to post such lunacy, the fact of the matter is Obama put OUR $ and his effort into defeating Bibi, only to have it blow up in his face.

Obama is about as good backing candidates in Israel as he is here in the USA.

I'm still waiting for the Is Paul Begala Really In Israel thread, where you folk can debate for a month whether Neville Obama's Campaign team really is there, or if they exist, or if there is evidence of them existing or if they are actually in America when everybody knows they are in Israel, or if they are begging the Arabs to support them, or if when they return to America will that be proof that they were not in America, etc etc etc.

"Bibi wins again"

Bibi shmibi. What has he done in his last two terms to stop Iran's nuke program from expanding to the threat it is today? Jack squat.

The fucking thing should have been destroyed in its infancy like previous leaders of Israel did in Iraq and Syria.

Not so easy in the case of Iran. Iran has:

- More than double the population and GDP of either of those countries
- Russian air-defence systems
- Mountains, that it can bury its centrifuges deep inside (Iraq and Syria have little besides desert)

Israel attacking Iran on its own would surely be biting off more than it could chew. Even for the US to do it would be very messy, as American generals have warned.

If you want to talk about missed opportunities Jongs, consider this:

Quote:

Between 2003 and 2005, under another practical president, Mohammad Khatami, Iran negotiated with three European Union powers a possible deal to place its nuclear program under constraints and inspections. The chief nuclear negotiator at the time was Hassan Rouhani, now Iran’s president.

Iran proposed to cap its centrifuges at very low levels, keep enrichment levels well below those that could be used for weapons and convert its existing enriched uranium into fuel rods (which could not be put to military use). Peter Jenkins, the British representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency, told the Inter Press Service , “All of us were impressed by the proposal.” But the talks collapsed because the Bush administration, acting through the British government, vetoed it. It was certain, Jenkins explained, that if the West could “scare” the Iranians, “they would give in.”

What was the result? Did Iran return to the table and capitulate? No, the country withstood the sanctions and, unimpeded by any inspections, massively expanded its nuclear infrastructure. Iran went from 164 centrifuges to 19,000, accumulated more than 17,000 pounds of enriched uranium gas and ramped up construction of a heavy water reactor at Arak that could be used to produce weapons-grade plutonium.

Harvard University’s Graham Allison, one of the United States’ foremost experts on nuclear issues, pointed out that “by insisting on maximalist demands and rejecting potential agreements, the first of which would have limited Iran to 164 centrifuges, we have seen Iran advance from 10 years away from producing a bomb to only months.”

Do you think we can convince Bobo to campaign for Kim Jung Un, so he can lose as well? Or maybe his cronies McConnell and Boner?

THGRRI

So Obama attempted a coup in Israel. Wow, can you point me to the evidence that allows you to make such a claim, or as always are you relying on rumor's and innuendo?
