This is a critical and often misunderstood piece of information. Human beings are used to thinking in terms of watt-hours or sometimes watt-seconds. The figure is impressive, but not as impressive as we think it is. Energy over time is how anything we'd find amazing would be accomplished. When they can generate this much energy over the course of an entire second, they'll have something like a death star laser.
