Ron talks Shepherd Book, and gives some great details on it.

"Joss Whedon and brother Zack are writing with Chris Samnee on art"

"RG: Very little. Very little. And it turns out, as I have become more familiar with Book’s back-story in the upcoming comic, I simply could not have imagined this level of creativity. "

"RG: Again, had I put together Book’s bio prior to the pilot of FIREFLY, it would have been very different from what the brilliant Joss Whedon has concocted. But it is thrilling, it’s wonderful and I know that the fans are going to love it."

The interview also ends with

"There you have it folks. Ron Glass— great guy. And I am now salivating to get my hands on A SHEPHERD’S TALE when it is released this Fall."

Not sure whether the Fall release date will be set in stone yet, but it sounds like it is being worked on, which is great. I found the link after Zack Whedon posted it on Twitter, saying: "Ron Glass announces creative team for new Serenity graphic novel! http://bit.ly/aTKPn3 - I am part of said team! Along with @ChrisSamnee"

Yay! Finally, some concrete movement on Book’s book. Is that Mal in the artist's sketchbook or Mal's father? Could it be that Book knew Mal's Dad? Oh, gosh, this could be as interesting as Ron claims.
