I just got and finished Wonderfalls on DVD.

It is awesome, right up there with Firefly in my opinion.

If anybody is hesitating getting it, the series remains good throughout the season.

The only downside is that we won't be getting any movie version.

Sigh.

Just makes me wonder: do the Big Damn Networks, 'specially F**ks, create great new shows and put them out for limited runs simply to demonstrate that, "hey, we can provide good entertainment, but our advertisers and ourselves have determined that the vast majority of the viewing public are to be denied quality"?

THRAWN

Just finished watching mine. This show is absolutely fantastic. Cocktail Bunny (I don't want to give away anything to people that haven't seen it, so I won't give any description) is one of the best episodes of TV I've ever seen. Not quite up to Firefly level, but very close. I thoroughly enjoyed the set.

I thought the release was delayed till Feb. I ordered mine from Amazon.com, but the damn thing hasn't even been shipped yet. ( Yes, they've gotten paid too )

I just finished watching mine through Blockbuster Online rentals (you can get them through Netflix too). Amazon has been shipping slow lately. I ordered Angel season 5, to be released tomorrow. They said it wouldn't be shipped until next week! So I canceled the order, and went to Buy.com. They shipped it last week media mail, and I got it today, one day before release.

I agree Wonderfalls is just great. The plot was quirky and original, and took a little getting used to, but the show just kept on getting better and better. Way better than the first 4 episodes they aired. They never gave it a chance to find its audience, as usual. I finished the series with a resounding, "Damn you, Fox. Damn you again!" I loved Crime Dog.

i love wonderfalls so much:( all the eps are great, but i'd call lying pig my favorite. i don't want to be spoilery, but it just about killed me! i seriously just burst out crying. caged bird is another outstanding ep.

Ummm...Auraptor, you do know it is February now don't you? It was released on Feb. 1 and I got mine from amazon on the 4th.

It has really surprised me, since I was not originally that impressed with the first couple of episodes they aired, but I was really liking it by the fourth one when they canceled. After watching the entire set Saturday before last I thought I probably would not watch it again for quite a while, but for some reason I've been drawn back to it again and again since then. I have watched all of them at least twice, with select eps a third time, as well as two different ones with commentary. And I'm listening to the music video as I type this.

Even though I am male, and old enough to be Caroline Dhavernas' father, I still identify with the character of Jaye a lot. We are both aloof and detached from most of our environment, content to shuffle through life on the path of least resistance. But as Jaye finds out, it can be damn lonely too.

Yeah, I know it's February already, but I sent Amazon a check back in January. ( latter part ). So, it was released Feb 1? Ok, that makes more sense, cause I was under the delusion that the release date was the 12th or 17th or some such...I recall they had pushed it back from the original December release. ANYway.... the news that Amazon is moving at a snail's pace and is behind is as apparent as it is annoying.

Oh,and as per Jaye an being old enough to be her father....I'm in that dreaded 30 something (arggh) crowd who is still cool enough ( yeah, right) to 'get' Wonderfalls, but too old enough for anyone else to care. 'Tis a sad state in life when a guy reaches that age where 20 something (and younger) women start to call you 'sir' .

Ah HAAA!!!! (small moral) VICTORY IS MINE!!!
Just got off the phone w/ the folks at Amazon. Today I got a letter in the mail - dated 2/2/05

from Amazon. Seems they DID get my check after all, but had still not sent my Wonderfalls DVD . Ummm... perhaps I didn't add the order # to the check? maybe??, so I SUPPOSE that might have fouled things up a bit.... alas, I'm to blame ?

But hey! I talked w/ a nice lady on the phone and after a friendly Q & A session, my DVD is (finally) on its way!!
